On the plus side the ingredients were fresh--great lettuce and tomatoes. On the negative, it was a bit pricey for a strictly drive thru operation and the frozen shoestring fries were undercooked. This drive thru only burger stand is one of the best in the area. Their food is hot and delicious, and they have a large menu - even a salmon burger. My husband and I LOVE their fry sauce - try it ON your burger next time it's delicious. The drive through can get a little backed up - but that's the price you have to pay for hot and fresh food. Frugals always delivers a great burger. The burgers are pretty cheap and quite tasty though obviously not gourmet. Fries are salty and delicious. Shakes are always great especially the specials like carmel. Frugals is a drive thru which makes it ideal for late night snacks. Customer service has always been excellent. Frugals is awesome in my humble opinion..I personally love their Halibut sandwich with Swiss. The only improvement I would suggest to them is to go easy on the tartar sauce. Also the fry sauce is awesome, totally worth the extra $. Check them out! read more

I go to this place for lunch all the time, even when they are super busy they never mess my order up the price is as cheap as fast food ($9-$10 for a big meal) and the employees are always pretty friendly also this place has some of the best burgers around probably tied with frisko freeze...if not better. The customer service here is horrible! G-h-e-t-t-o as hell, and never get the orders right. Do not ask for fry sauce because it is extremely inconvenient for them to hand it over when ordering 4 burgers. If you want to take a smoke break you can join half the Frugal crew right outside this beautiful establishment. Went got two orders of a double cheese burger combo one with bacon with two shakes upgrade. We were charged full price for the shakes and then charged twice for bacon. I asked the gal why I was charged the full price for shakes and the additional .50 cents for the Oreo when it says that it's a .60 upgrade. She beat around the bush so hard and gave me the biggest bull crap answer and fumbled her words. I asked her about why we were charge twice for bacon when I watched the guy make our burger and we didn't get twice the bacon. Her excuse for this was that it's a per patty charge "I think". And that's a complete horse you know what answer I have ever heard. She sat there trying to tell me she couldn't refund my money. I used to love this place and we would drive out of our way to come here. We will definitely not be returning here. And these folks think they deserve $15/hr. Please..... Edit: upon eating my husbands burger had a nasty long hair in it root tip and everything and also his shake was not root beer like we ordered and were charged. Only vanilla. Downgraded to a one star. Quick drive thru for anyone in a hurry. They've got delicious burgers fries and milkshakes. The building is drive thru only so that means you'll have to find a place to park and eat. The drive thru building looks metallic and retro. Good quality food and speedy service. What more could a person ask for? I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was grilled, moist and full of flavor. The fries were crisp and tender. I don't usually go out of my way to order Frugals, though I'm glad to say that I finally did. read more

This is always one of my favorite burger place. Yesterday their customer service stepped up to a whole new level. as I was towing a trailer I could not go through the drive thru. I parked in the lot and walked up to the window. I place my order 3 number 5's two cokes one chocolate shake. Because I had walked up it's through their system a little out of whack. They gave my order to a car that had gone through the drive thru. It took them a little bit longer to replace my order. For my troubles in the time that It took, the manager gave me a healthy discount. I don't judge people on the mistakes that they make I judge them on how they correct them. read more

Since moving to the Tacoma-Parkland area a few years ago this place has become my go to Burger Joint, if you want a classic burger that will make your taste bugs sing this is the place. Honestly the people who work there are all really friendly and good humored, and you really must try their classic Bacon Cheeseburger. This place has one of the best fast-food/burgers I've ever tasted! It's a far drive but it's well worth it! Their burgers and fries don't tasted processed (though they probably are) like all the big burger chains and the place has a retro quality to it. I don't expect much from fast food and/or their employees. Generally it's teens working their first job or in some cases it's older people who have just had a rough hand dealt that work their butts off to provide for their families. I respect that.
