The food is amazing. Melt in your mouth burger meat with perfectly made fries and shakes. The ketchup is also amazing. Heinz done right. Seriously, you'd never go wrong with ketchup from Heinz. The service was great too. No mean people near the register. All friendly. Always helpful. The ambiance was great too. Not too noisy. Not too quiet. It's great. Five Guys is great.

Brand new location right next to Orangetheory Fitness, University Place!

This place has been our go-to meetup spot for years. Whenever friends are in town, we don't even…read morehave to ask where we're headed. The hot dogs are phenomenal. I'm a creature of habit with the 6th Ave Strut and Ragin Cajun, but honestly, you can't go wrong; my friends all have different favorites and rave about them every time. Dining in is the best experience, but they've seriously leveled up their takeout game. They swapped the old foil wraps (which led to soggy buns) for specialized takeout carriers, so the quality holds up perfectly even if you're eating on the go. Parking can be a bit of a gamble depending on when you show up, but it is 100% worth the effort. Whether you're here for the food or the drinks, you're guaranteed to find something you love.

I tried the "Tacoma" dog, which was solid, but the real winner was an off-menu special they had--a unique combination of peanut butter, slaw, and Sriracha. It sounds like a wild mix, but it was easily the best thing I ate; the flavors worked together perfectly. Beyond the food, they have a great draft beer list with plenty of variety. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is exactly what you want from a local neighborhood spot. Highly recommend if you're in the 6th Ave area and want a low-key place with high-quality dogs and brews!

We chose to have them deliver, because the delivery price was so reasonable. The pizza arrived quickly and very hot. The pizzas (we chose 2 different kinds) was FANTASTIC! So much cheese! So much flavor. This is truly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The delivery person was very personable. I'm positive my daughter will order from this restaurant again! I'll insist on it the next time I come to visit!

The cheese pull was basically endless, and the crust was spot on -- crispy on the outside, chewy in the center, and seasoned just right so the salt balanced perfectly with the pizza. With a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old in tow, we appreciated the coloring papers and crayons during the longer cook time (which is completely worth the wait). The kids loved it, we loved it, and the whole experience felt welcoming from start to finish. You can tell Dave and Lisa genuinely enjoy what they do, and Lisa's sense of humor makes it even more fun. So glad we came in -- we'll be back.

Went to Patty's Burgers and Shakes for the first time today, May 1st…read more The place is small, clean, but quaint. 50s decor throughout the restaurant. Very large menu selection. We place our order and was surprised how quick we received our food from the chef, Tino. Who was very friendly Andrew brought us our drinks and mannnn....the vanilla shake was large and worth $6.99. It was delicious!!! Our burgers were delicious and great fries. While there we noticed the true generosity of Andrew and Tino. Tino move some high chairs for a lady in a wheelchair chair for better access. Andrew saw them leaving and opened and held the door for the group with two people in wheelchairs. Way to go Andrew and Tino for going the extra mile. Highly recommend this burger place!!!

Fries the 2nd time a bit overcooked. Same as Subway, the dog won't be a ft long! Very large menu, too big really. The Ugly- the first time I ordered for pick up and got back to work and opened it up and....it was a chili cheese BURGER. Called and told them and they had me come back and switch. They apologized but, come on. I don't have time for this. The Skinny- An iconic staple in Tacoma. Been there forever and have a lot of big huge burgers and dogs. Jacking the price up because of that isn't the answer though. I would pick Monster burger or All Star over this place, much more economical.

Been driving by here every day for the last six months finally decided to try it. Reviews aren't…read moregood, aren't bad and mine's gonna be the same. I placed an order - it was fairly easy since I had read the menu before, but I specifically ask for my burger to be cut in half and also an order of fry sauce with my onion rings. When I went to pay, they actually physically took my phone from me to do Apple Pay - which most companies won't allow because what if they drop your $1500 iphone - are they going to be responsible for breaking it? They need to have an option where the customer can just tap from their car - after I had already paid, and added a tip -.I asked how many fry sauce it included and I was ask how many I wanted. I said 2 and then he told me it would be $.70! Really?? after I just paid $19 you can't throw in one fry sauce? So they did another credit card transaction once again taking my phone for $.70 -,I know it cost them more than that to process it so they are really the loser there. I can understand charging me if I order five different sauces but really with a $20 meal you can't give me one free sauce? That just leaves a bad taste in my mouth plus my burger wasn't cutting in half as requested.. Took less than five minutes to get my order. Was very shocked to see that I only got three large and two tiny onion rings for almost $5. When they were only two minutes old and hot they were delicious but even five minutes later after they had cooled down, they just tasted doughy and gross. The burger was exactly what I would have at a family backyard BBQ,, literally everything was a Costco ingredient which is fine. It was OK but absolutely nothing special about it. The best part of the meal was actually a small blackberry shake, which was good - once again not great not bad. For $19 with tax and tip it wasn't overpriced for what I got, but it wasn't a deal by any means. And to answer , the age old question, Will I be back? Probably not, but if somebody I was with really wanted to stop here, I wouldn't object.
