New local place down the street. Looked cool to visit so mom and I gave it a try. She was not impressed and we haven't back since. The sandwiches were definitely big but nothing worth coming back for. The fries were so so. The staff was friendly but since new, they are still working out the kinks. Knowing that it is a Shaq restaurant, was hoping for more of a fun experience, but was disappointed.

Yummy. First time in. We came in on Tuesday which is $2 off milkshakes. So why not??! We both ordered the peanut butter chip n chocolate. That was soooo good! It had the chips all the way to da last sip!! Very flavorful. I ordered the original chicken Sammy meal and bf had Nashville hot. It was quite hot which he enjoyed. But as we are getting older (lol) prob won't have that one again he said. It was a spicy tho!! Mine was perfect. And I love love love crinkle fries so I was in heaven. It wasn t too busy but was picking up for some indoor orders with kids and togo orders. Staff was great too. You can pick all kind of sauces and there is a list near the register. So go try it! Enjoy

Bathrooms are very clean. But the diaper changer needs replacement. Outdoor seating available. Lots of drink options. Came in just before lunch and it was dead. Customer service was great! The food was alright. Sauces were good. The chicken was SuPeR thin (compaired to another fast food joint) but I appriciated the generious amount of veggies! The fried too are generously portioned. My toddler ate the mac and cheese so fast! Everything cooked and presented beautifully. But I'm a little tierd of the yet another fried food place. My husband likely will be back.

All three food dates went great. The original is zesty and refreshing, the plain one is the perfect chicken sandwich/the best one I've had in my life, and the Nashville hot was hot dog. The service was cool. Ambience is cool too. Come here. It's well worth the hype and your money.

Really great chicken. Their wings are perfectly fried. The original sandwich is amazing. Lots of flavor. I am not a fan of the crinkle cut fries but everything else is phenomenal. Get the Mac and cheese, it's outstanding!

This place is a real one of a kind celeb-aroni joint; if you can imagine Shaq whispering in the ears of the employees to do things that might gather a chuckle and the look of shock and awe--real naughty place, villainous amounts of whip cream in the shakes, maybe cartoon chickens?

    Very rude cashier

Came here after lunch and was shocked by the lack of respect from a cashier who talked to me as if I'm special. Receipt says her name is Honey C. She was acting more like a bees stinger. I literally was just walking in line and older lady in black attire, short haircut called me up. She already came off irritable like she hates being there, but got more rude after I didn't tip. She talked very noticeably slow to me as if I have something, I'm probably much smarter than her. I didn't tip cause her attitude, and I can understand food service cause I worked in the restaurant business, but I don't tolerate when it goes over. I've managed a restaurant before and proud to say I've never talked to a customer like how she did and would've fired an employee if they did the same. After I ordered, now I'm already feeling upset that this lady was on edge, and I'm literally standing five feet from the register cause there's like a group of people waiting for their food right in front of me, but when she calls me up she says "you forgot your drink and your sauces." Unsure why there was even a need to say that when I'm literally standing near the front. I literally look at her for a second now I'm thinking she's crazy and wanted to start a fight, but I just smiled and said ok. And then walked away. Tenders were on point, but there's always so much buffalo sauce on the buffalo chicken sandwich. Good fries. Will be back, needs to have better service and respect for customers, so uncalled for. Will be back for those tenders soon!

Order - 2 combos - one spicy sandwich and one popcorn chicken and a kids chicken tender meal

I've been waiting to try this place out and it's open now! Fast food chicken - it's good and the staff is friendly! They were patient as we were ordering and helpful with sauces and made sure to verify that the meal was rung up as we wanted. No wait but some people (Sunday). Chicken was good and moist and toddler loved both the chicken and the mac and cheese. We got the side fruit for our kid but it was just a sweet fruit cup (fyi!) and there wasn't a milk option so we stuck with water. Employees were quick to clean up messes and wipe down tables. If I'm looking for some quick fried chicken I will come back here.

Super excited about the Big Chicken off Pearl st in Tacoma!! Today is opening day!! Picked up lunch for a few of us- staff were so welcoming! Ambiance of the place is laid back. The menu looks great! I tried the Ultimate sandwich with dirty fries- really good! Off to a great start Big Chicken! So happy to have something new in the West End!

Nashville hot: chicken was nice a juicy. Every bite the chicken tasted fresh and just fried. Ultimate: the flavor was good. Everything mixed well together.

    Spicy chicken sandwich
    Fred S.

This place just opened earlier in the week. So to be clear it is a fast food restaurant so I rated it within that context. The chicken was really tender and well seasoned. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was actually really spicy, I loved it! The employees were all very friendly and they understand that most people haven't been in before so they had a lot of good suggestions. I really recommend getting the big chicken sauce with your meal, it was really good. The meals are huge, so realistically the next time I go we will probably just get one meal and split it between the two of us. It's definitely still fast food and not really a healthy option, but if you're in the mood for a really good chicken sandwich big chicken is probably the best option in Tacoma

Ordering and payment was a snap though this place is pretty pricey! We ordered the chicken bites, garlic fried rice and the marinated veggies and dined inside Beer Star. It was packed at 5 pm on a Friday. Service was prompt. 5 min wait for piping hot food is not bad. Once inside Beer Star, we found a table. It was surprising to see so many kids running around, family gatherings and being a pet friendly business a lot of them furry friends. Getting to the food, it was truly amazing. The chicken bites was the star of the show. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Perfectly battered and thoughtfully crafted. Its gluten and celiac free. We got the chicken bites loaded (for a couple of extra bucks) with hot oil and aioli. The garlic fried rice was slightly al-dente and quite oily. It slightly complemented the chicken. imo it could have used a few more ingredients like eggs?. The marinated veggies was fine and mostly eggplant. Next time I would probably stick with the chicken and try their wings with hot honey. Organic ketchup, napkins and spoons are self serve by the food pickup window. Limited hours 4 to 8 pm and yes they do run out of food, so go early. It a small parking lot (7-8 cars) with some street parking mostly taken up by Beer Star patrons. It's located in the Beer Star lot which is pretty small and has limited parking, but parking in the area isn't too bad. It's nice that you can dine in at Beer Star with your Chicken Supply order! And Beer Star is pet friendly! We love seeing all the dogs that come to hang out, and can't wait to bring our dog one of these days. My boyfriend loves their chicken bites, but the thigh is my personal favorite. The wings are really good too, but I think they're too much work compared to the other 2 cuts. All of the chicken is perfectly fried. It's so crispy and light on the outside, while the chicken meat is juicy and flavorful. I wouldn't be surprised if they use MSG because the chicken is very addicting. I've tried a number of their sides but the garlic rice is my favorite. It's very fragrant if you love garlic! The loaded fries were good in the sense that the fries are very crispy and the toppings are very tasty. However, the toppings are sparsely drizzled over the top level of fries, so once you eat through that layer, you're left with regular fries. The collard greens were very tasty but I found them to be too salty to eat on its own or with the chicken; that being said, I think it goes really well with rice! Their pickles are flavored well and pair up so nicely with their fried items. The marinated veggies were okay. They are served cold and were my least favorite out of everything that I've tried. Overall, this is one of my new favorite places and can't wait to be back!

Their spread included small bites of chicken and waffles, but because of my dietary preferences, I only sampled the waffles. I have to say I left that day feeling a bit disappointed, but I decided to give them another chance in the future. Fast-forward to this past spring for my college graduation party. For my food spread, I employed a mini "taste of the Tacoma-themed spread" with Buddy's as one of the options. I decided to order catering services from them. I have to say they really messed up. The order was placed and paid for three days in advance for pick-up (6 combos & 2 waffles). Their order wasn't ready; however, they made amends and comped us several items that we did not order for the inconvenience. More importantly, most of my guests from all across the U.S. spoke very highly of the chicken and waffles. That day I tried only the Strawberry Shortcake Waffle, and I once again felt unimpressed. But yesterday...yesterday was different. They say the third time is a charm. I arrived 30 minutes before closing, so I could only get carryout service. I was going to go with the options I've already tried: Blueberry and Strawberry Shortcake Waffles. While browsing the menu, I saw the Banana Cream Pie Waffle on the special board and decided to give it a try. This moment is where the story takes a significant turn. This is by far the best waffle I've had in the US. The waffle was amazingly fresh and crispy, coupled with a perfect blend of softness, a sprinkling of wafer crumbs, and bananas. This is by far my favorite waffle in all of Tacoma. In fact, anywhere in the world. I will give it a 20/10. If you are a vegetarian, I'd recommend ordering a serving of the crispy "Salt and Pepper Tofu" appetizer from Indo Asian Street Eatery to pair with these waffles. The pairing will get you close to or similar to the experience of the chicken strip pairing. I assure you there is no drop-off. My only complaint is paying $13 for a waffle. The waffle is a very nice size, and I do understand given current prices and the cost of doing business, but with $13 you can make several waffles in-house. But make no mistake. This is definitely worth it.

The special sauce was a real win, too: an almost umami Sriracha mayo that elevated everything. I also received a peach mango pie that looked a lot like those McDonald's handheld pies, though I didn't try it this time. One small off note: while I was there, a child from the group ordering behind me climbed onto the ordering/pickup counter with dirty shoes and all. Neither the parent nor the employee seemed bothered by it, but it's the surface where food is handed over, so it felt a bit off-putting. Overall, though, the food and service made for a positive visit. The adobo rice alone is enough to bring me back.

The space feels like home and the taste comforts the heart. 10/10
