From the moment you walk in, you can tell how much pride and passion the owners have put into creating a place that feels welcoming, fun, and full of personality. They've built something really special for the Hannibal community. The menu is honestly bigger and more diverse than most local restaurants. Whether you want great bar food, a full meal, or just appetizers to share with friends, there are tons of options and everything we've tried has been delicious. One of my favorite parts of JDubbs is all the licensed sports memorabilia throughout the restaurant that is actually for sale! It makes the space feel like a sports fan's dream and gives the place such a unique vibe you don't see anywhere else around here. And you absolutely cannot leave without ordering the spicy Bloody Mary. It is hands down the best one in town, perfectly balanced with just the right kick. I've tried a lot of spicy Bloody Mary's, and this one beats them all. Amazing owners, great food, fun atmosphere, and one of the most unique spots in Hannibal. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out!

Anyways, I ate here a month after this restaurant opened and felt kind of "meh" about it. The fried pickles were fantastic, but everything else was average. Skip ahead a few months, and this week I tried it again and okay- The Bridge Bar and Grill- I see you. They've very much improved since first opening and are now, um, amazing. One of the best dining places in town. The Bridge Burger is to die for! Absolute Midwest perfection. Perfectly cooked pattie, BACON JAM?!, succulant caramelized onions, melty cheese, on a fresh warm bun. Lattice fries? Perfectly crispy and amazing. Their signature fries? Deliciously and uniquely seasoned. Their fried pickles have been the best in town since they opened, but now the rest of their menu is matching that eenergy. They have unique and innovative pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers; a huge, but clearly well curated selection. My only complaint is they are a bit pricey and are one of the more expensive eating options here in town. BUT (and this is important) the price is worth it in the quality of food you recieve. Quincy has needed a high-end casual eatery to bring variety and compete with The Abbey for a while now- and this establishment is right what I was hoping for. (I love The Abbey, but we needed something fresh and new for when you just want to try something different, ya know?) The atmosphere is modern and has a bit of an industrial vibe. I love that they connect to the trampoline park so parents can get good quality food while their kids play. They're clean. The staff is friendly and professional. Service was fast. So, checking Yelp for recommendations, I found Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux - a sports bar with a Cajan/Creole themed menu - and decided to give it a try. My fellow Yelpers did not let me down. Walk-Ons's Sports Bistreaux was excellent. It's loud and, as is typical of most sports bars, it has lots of TVs. This provides for a lively atmosphere. I had crawfish eufotee as an appetizer and it was as good as the eufotee I used to get when working on projects in Louisiana and Texas. For my entree, I opted for a catfish po'boy. Again, it was as good as the po'boys I enjoyed in Louisiana and Texas. My wife ordered the sweet chili shrimp (one of their featured specials). She enjoyed it -- initially - but eventually, the spiciness caught up with her taste buds and she found it a little too spicy. The waitress brought her an extra serving of avacodo that she diced up into the shrimp to cut the spiciness. Overall, she said it tasted very good but she would have preferred a less spicy presentation. Good overall - we will be back next trip through Columbia.
