We tried the Oreo churros and the brownies with cherry cordial. The churros were fine, warm, but literally just had generic whipped cream and Oreo crumbles on top. The churros themselves were not Oreo. For like $9, they left me wanting Costco to bring back their food court churros. Actually, I want that regardless! The brownie was huge, but not a great brownie and the cherry topping wasn't very good. It tasted like canned cherries. My 13 year old was very unimpressed and who don't love dessert. Overall this fell very flat. They have a cute photo wall. Would not go back.

The staff seemed to be no older than 17/18. The Louisville location is 10000x better.

They were happy to give sample when asked but did not offer it as a service. The place was very clean and chairs were good for an ice cream place. I ordered the banana split and wife got a single scoop of the banana pudding. She was disappointed because there was almost no banana flavor in the ice cream. The banana split was good but they were out of hot fudge. I had the Dalmatian ice cream which was good. The cake one I had was basically vanilla ice cream with little sprinkles in it. The m&m was good. Of the ones we sampled the bourbon one had the most flavor. The ice cream was good quality and smooth. The only issue is wish they could ramp up the flavors some. We will be coming back to try some more and see if maybe it was just the flavors we chose on our first visit. More to come....

The banana split is the standout -- every component tasted fresh, and the cherries on top were the perfect finishing touch. Easily one of the best I've had. The hot fudge cake was the surprise of the visit -- rich, indulgent, and the one thing I couldn't put down. I also tried the Biscoff taco (typically a Tuesday offering), which was generously sized and excellent. The atmosphere deserves mention as well: there are places to sit inside and out, and the service was fast and top quality. The family that owns it are amazing they were warm, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they've built. 9/10. If you're in the Richmond area, Poppy's is well worth your time. worth your time.

My lovely wife got the waffle cone double with fat Elvis. Her only issue is missing banana flavor. She like the banana to be strong but that is also hard to do with peanut butter and Oreos also competing for taste buds. Prices were good. Although banana split which is my favorite thing to get at $12.50 was a little high for me. Shocked the skillet cookie was $3 cheaper. We really loved this place and the staff there was amazing. There were atleast 4 there and all were so helpful and friendly. Will definitely be heading back there.
