So I've worked at a ColdStone for about a full year and was a shift leader and when I ordered a cake I was expecting it to be great. NO!! I WAS WRONG!! They seriously handed me this and said "have a good day". I am NEVER one to complain about orders being wrong but this was unacceptable to give to someone as a gift. I thought they were joking when they handed this to me in all seriousness. I had scheduled to pick it up at 5:00 PM and got there at 4:40 and the girl told me it would be a few minutes. I had no problem waiting, but then the woman asked me what kind of kit-kats i wanted. Obviously i want the ones and only ones that are put on cakes. So she takes out uneven kit-kats from the front/stone area (unsanitary because those tongs touch other chocolate candies that can have peanut butter on them) and then PROCEEDS TO DIP THEM IN THE SPRINKLES OUT THERE!!! At my coldstone at home we cut new kit-kats straight from the package and fresh sprinkles that are designated for the cake toppers. (ALSO WASN'T WEARING GLOVES) Ended up finding out that the older woman was blaming it on someone not telling her that there was a cake that needed to be made / decorated?? If you are a cake decorater then you have to take responsibility for what you make too. i could give a shit less if it is someone else's partial fault, take responsibility for the work you put out. If they said it will take 20 minutes to finish and it looked way better than this, i would have had no problem. not fucking get it out as fast as they can and doing the shittiest they could do. Didn't even offer a refund. I said can i get something else instead of this, and she said "what do you want me to do?" Are you kidding me? Just because i told her i used to work at a coldstone, doesnt mean shit. I'm your customer, you should do whatever you can to make up for this mess you just handed to me. She said "Take whatever you want, if you want cupcakes take the cupcakes. Took one look at those and they were hideous, the icing / frosting was uneven. I could see everything that was inside of it. Took the "best" pack of cookies i could find. I was working at a coldstone less than 8 months ago and if remember correctly, there is a folder or board of some sort that says "Cakes to be made" and "Cakes to be decorated". Considering that this place doesn't have a good manager nor one that actually cares about their brand image and how to train their employees correctly, i'll be contacting HR because this place needs to a whole revamp . read more

I can't remember the last time I was in a Coldstone. It's been years. I almost thought they didn't exist anymore. Then I was in the area last weekend and saw... *gasp!* this new open location! And it just happened to be my huband's birthday.... so we decided to come in and grab some delicious Coldstone ice cream to celebrate. You have several choices of ice cream sizes, available in cups or waffle cones. Smoothies and sundaes are an option too. You can choose from Coldstone's creations or make your own. Choose from sprinkles to chocolates to gummies to cookies to mix into your ice cream for a fun treat. This location also has a chocolate shop with some yummy-looking truffles in the glass cases! My typical go-to for Coldstone is a lemon sorbet ice cream with gummie bears mixed in. Unfortunately, this location didn't have any lemon sorbet. To my disappointment, they just had a variety of bland, typical flavors (chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, strawberry). After much deliberation, I settled on a small ("Like it!") side-by-side with mint and raspberry sorbet (the only two 'cool' flavors they had, in my opinion). But of course I mixed in my usual gummy bears! It was OK. The whole experience was OK. It was just Coldstone. I was almost... disappointed. It wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. But maybe that's just me and the ice cream appeal has faded. Or I just wish they had that darn lemon sorbet I liked so much... Still, what a welcome addition to this area! Whee! read more

Tonight was one of the worst Coldstone experiences I've ever had. My wife and I decided to visit for a late night treat. We arrived at Coldstone around 8:20PM. The Creamery was packed, as expected for a Sunday night. So what happened: We were served runny ice cream and told that the was "a softer texture" because the machines were already turned off for the night. I used to work at Coldstone and would have never done that. What it translates to is "I'm sacrificing quality so we can clean and leave earlier." One of the staff even yelled out across the store, "Hey let me know as soon as it's 9PM so we can turn the open sign off." Don't get me wrong, I remember the hustle and bustle of people coming in last minute but that's kind of part of it. Food: The ice cream was terrible. Runny ice cream usually is that big of a deal unless you're paying Coldstone prices for it. I'd avoid this place anywhere near closing time for sure. I'd like to reach out to management and encourage them to revisit expectations concerning customer service and closing procedures. I didn't take a picture of the ice cream because it was so bad I threw it away. For a similar experience, pour a pint of milk in a cereal bowl; there you have it. read more

So I went to Cold Stone a couple of days ago after work. I decided to get my favorite love it cup along with German Chocolate ice cream. Their ice cream just makes your mouth melt just as soon as you eat it. It's so creamy, smooth, rich, and light. I'm a big chocolate and brownie lover which is my ultimate weakness. Only thing I thought they could of had more of was more seating. They are crammed in such a tight spot in the corner they can't really expand. I ended up having to sit in my car on a cool night I was a little disappointed. However, disappointment soon faded away as I continued to eat my ice cream, I really enjoyed it a lot. read more

Love, Love, Love this place! They have wonderful flavor options. My kiddos love to go in and sample so many flavors and then always end up with the same one...lol. I love their reward card as well! It adds up quick with my family. As for their chocolate candy, it doesnt have the best taste. We have tried a few different items and we stick with the ice cream side of things. read more

Went to this Coldstone location and had a good experience. I ordered my ice cream order online because of the pandemic. When I ordered, it said it would be ready in 10 minutes. It took me about that time to reach the location. When I ordered on the app, it said to call when I got there, since I did curbside pickup. I called when I got there and they said it would be a few minutes. I did have to wait a little bit because they were busy but it wasn't too long. Not only was no effort made to correct the problem, there was barely an acknowledgement that it was a problem. Has to be one of the worst Cold Stones in America. The employees are consistently disinterested in making ice cream and serving customers. I've had multiple bad experiences at these establishment. On one occasion, they refused to serve us because we came 10 minutes before closing. If there is more than 3 people in line, you can expect to be waiting for at least 30 minutes. I have been to this location a few times now and each time they manage to some how rip me off. Once my friend and I ordered the exact same thing, however, ended up with a difference in the amount of toppings and ice cream. Second time, I ordered a "Love it" and the girl proceeded to make it then asked if I had ordered a "Like it." I told her no, however, instead of redoing the order she simply grabbed the larger container and put the ice cream in it. This would not be a big deal if it wasn't of the the fact the larger container costs me extra money for no extra ice cream. There is no consistency at this location. On top of it many employees are unwelcoming and rude. Will not choose this location again. The only reason I am taking the time to write this review is because I have been to numerous Cold Stones and never had an issue. You would be better off driving to the Hamburg location. The employees didn't seem too concerned or in any hurry to help. We were told that the owner tried to let us know earlier that they were out, however we provided our email address and phone number, and neither were used to let us know. There was more that's not worth getting in to, just know that it's Coldstone, but you won't get any customer service. Worst Cold Stone I've ever been to. Myself and 3 of my friends walked in 5 minutes before closing on a Sunday night (8:55pm) and were rudely refused service because they were "closed". It probably would've take less than 5 minutes to scoop out our ice cream, and they probably would have made $20+ off of us. As someone with celiac disease and an intolerance to corn, it is difficult to find ice cream options that I can eat (besides the health aisle at the grocery store). The staff was enthusiastic about helping me choose a safe gluten free/corn free flavor and it was delicious! (I highly recommend the dark chocolate!)
