So instead of looking up places, I asked for recommendations of social media and TADA!! Royalty Rentals was the first on the list from my neighbor. So i looked them up on here on YELP and all looked good. I went to their website and saw that i could actually order the tables and chairs I wanted. Plus I could even had the items delivered for a fee of course. However I decided to do the pick up myself and save the fee, smart choice on my part BECAUSE THE STORE FRONT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! When in I thought i d see jut a few things set up, I was right but the table setups they had on displayed where stunning. one of the tables was set in royal blue, which would be elegant for wedding. There was another table set in a warm rust toned cinnamon color which would be beautiful for thanksgiving dinner or company party or reception. I really should have taken a picture!!! Anyhow, since i order on line and everything was paid for all i had to do was sign that i was picking up and then drove to the side of the building and a very HELPFUL young man loaded up my truck in no time flat, which I was really grateful for because I was on a tight schedule for the day. When it was time for me to return everything all I had to do was go back to the same spot open the trunk and the everything was unloaded for me., now that is great customer service. I found that many rental places charge about the same pretty reasonable fee for basic tables and chairs but where the cost differs is in the delivery and set up. Most of the companies I looked into charged exorbitant fees for in town delivery and compounded that already high cost if I wanted them to set up the items or bring them further than 75-100 feet from the curb (my set up site was 125 feet from the curb - ugh!). I put calls into about 10 different companies for quotes and, whereas Discount Party Supplies was the first to call me back, it took many of the other places up to a week to respond! The guys I worked with were courteous and very good about potential to changes in our order. We were unsure how the weather was going to be and they were willing to work with us up until very close to the last minute on the possibility of adding tents if we needed them in case of rain. They have a lot of equipment allowing them a modicum of flexibility in orders. Pros: Over all, the service was great, the set up and delivery were the most reasonable I was able to find, the tables and chairs were new, clean, and in good condition ( they told me they phase out older equipment regularly), they called one week in advance to confirm the order and delivery time, the staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: I have little if anything bad to say about this business. Were I to be very nit-picky, it is scarcely worth mentioning, but they do request cash on delivery although the website states that they accept a variety of credit cards. They do not offer any email confirmation (this made me a little nervous that they could be a fly by night company that might not show up but they turned out to be great). And they ended up delivering the equipment a day early (after receiving my approval) only because they were so busy with deliveries. The early delivery was totally fine with me but I imagine some people might not be able to accommodate the equipment for longer than expected. Short of those very negligible points, I cannot say enough good about Discount Party Supplies! I'm very happy with their service!
