Food: the food taste pretty good for a hole in the wall, Mexican, seafood spot. It's good, but it's definitely not the best. The customer service is good, and I can tell they try, but there's definitely some tweaking that could be established. I've been to the spot twice, and the first time, but I think the cashier was too overzealous, and trying to help me build my order, he was giving out too many options and ways to tailor my order, that it was a bit difficult to understand exactly what I was ordering. I understand that he was only trying to help me build a better order, but within the process kind of made me mess up my order lol The second time I was here, I knew I needed to know exactly what I wanted to order, because I didn't want to mess up my order again. The experience was good, but on the way back home I realize that they gave me chips instead of the crackers, I asked for. No big deal, so I went back in to ask for my right product, they apologize, but I asked for the chips back, and don't get me wrong a bag of chips or some thing I will not ever complain about, but I had given a seven dollar tip to a $50 order, which is not a life-changing tip, but if you're gonna ask for a tip before providing the service, at least try to go above and beyond. Again, not knocking their customer service, as it's good, but they may need help identifying best approaches and opportunities to create that customer friendly environment.

I have been here before and I was in shock to see how filthy it was today. I use to live a few blocks away and was a regular before moving out of Indio. I was so disappointed to see trash all over the floor, table super nasty, and counters with chili and dried up stuff. I will give it one more try to see if things get better because I love their tosticeviche. But absolutely won't be driving this far if this is how management thinks they should run a business. My thoughts are ....if it's yucky where customers can clearly see, then how yucky is it behind walls where customers can't see???

I ordered a "pepino loco" without cueritos we also ordered two chavelas. I received a half of a cucumber split in half in a container filled with Clamato and cacahuates (peanuts). They should called it Cacahuates Locos if they are going to do that ratio. The worst part is they never returned to the counter so I could order something different or another chavela. The shrimp on the chavela was rubbery and not deveined...gross. Disappointed. Go to Coco Freeze instead.

Yay! One of my new favorite place for mariscos!!! The entrance was pretty hype and the crowd was minding their own business with all their drinks and food. The lady in the front was very helpful and let me sample the margarita slushee things and the mango with chamoy is amazing. Food: my favorite thing about this place has to be the food, I got the tosticeviche and I was a decent serving for only 8$ a friend and I got full on a plate of that and of course because we had Frosties Chavelas and margaritas which come with shrimp. The Chavelas don't always come with shrimp only if made into a Frosties Chavela. I try tosticeviche at most Mexicans places that have it because I love ceviche, the first time I got it I feel like it was just made because it wasn't flavorful or even cold at all. Didn't eat it because I was scared of it being hot lol. Service: the service is nice and really great this time around. I left a bad review due to it the first time and I was pretty harsh on the review so I deleted and gave it another try with friends. The ladies are great and loud and bring your food and drinks to your table except without napkins so get those before you sit down or you'd have to squeeze to the front of the line for them. Cleanliness: the store was pretty dirty and disorganized. I don't think the staff have much time to re arrange after a party leaves or even time to sweep the floor so that's one thing that bothered me a lot I just kept telling myself not to look down lol. Advice: take a second between orders or on an order to sweep for a minute or two. I know people get drunk and ignore the mess but not everyone is drunk. 3.5 rating from me

This is our favorite chavelas spot in the desert! Ceviche, shrimp cocktail and elote are outstanding! Small appearance from the outside with big flavor once you go in and order! The staff is friendly and accommodating. It's a must stop when you're in town.

Ice cream and Ceviche......weird right??? I drive by this little place when at a local timeshare on my way to super target and was intrigued. It was packed. Did some research here and decided I needed to try it. Well the ceviche was the BOMB. And cheap! Dinner was 7.99!!!! If you wanted beer or a margarita they do those too. I decided to go was the way to go as it was packed. It was amazing Ceviche!!!

Wanted an icy Mexican treat on a hot day, so there I was! I ordered a strawberry margarita and a mangoneada. The margarita was much better than expected! It was topped with strawberry and Mexican candy and the rim was so delicious! Very refreshing and the alcohol was well balanced! I left feeling gooood, but not loco! The mangoneada was delicious as well. I would have liked some more mango chunks tho. It was sweet and salty, but most importantly, drinkable! Usually, mangoneadas are so sweet and heavy that you take a few sips and you're done with it. Not here! Sipping the mango in between the margarita was giving my brain the pleasure it deserved. read more

This is the best place in the valley to get a refreshing cool down drink or a quick bite to eat on those hot summer days! The owner and staff are awesome and provide an awesome environment and are super friendly and make the overall experience that much better! LOVE this place. We randomly stopped here one time coming home from the river & now we stop every time on our way home. The employees are very nice and informative. The ceviche is absolutely amazing & they offer many different options of hot sauces which I love. We also had the aguachiles once and it was so refreshing and yummy! Just stopped by this place and everything looked so good! Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Ordered a Chavela that was really good but the Tostilocos were so bad. The cueritos were so so hard and the cucumber they put in it was pure seeds. Just tasteless overall.Also ordered a raspado and it was really disappointing. Won't be coming back. read more

It's a small place that gets busy with the few people it holds (like 8 tables). Having said that I always call in and order to go that way I'm not sitting there waiting. I always order tosti-ceviche and the agua chiles because they're made just perfect. Also the chavellas are the best in town I'd say the best I've ever had. read more

First time visiting here and I can't wait to come again! I love this place! I live in Rancho Cucamonga and wish we had this place back home. Wow. This place is a gem in the Coachella valley: went there based on a friends recommendation, and it was amazing. Got the tosticeviche and a chavela... they definitely deserved to have a better more full yelp.... five star place for sure clean and quite, I'll definitely be back soon. read more

Eat here and you will end up with chorro loco. I have come here for my 3rd and final time as I have received poor service each time. Shrimp taste bad and very rubbery. Beer was also flat. I would say go to coco freeze since it's the only other place similar but they suck too. read more

Best little shop in Indio for some snack cravings! My husband loves their ceviche. (They serve their agua chilies CHOPPED like ceviche) he enjoys both but prefers the ceviche most. Variety of Mexican snacks, ice cream, nachos etc. Sometimes they run out of agua chilies! You've be warned! We stop here every visit we do while in Indio. read more

Great place for sea food botanas (appetizer style). The Tosti-ceviche is great and the chavelas are also good. The spot is small but the atmosphere makes up for it. Service is fast and friendly. read more

This placed is great! I love that on the menu under each menu item is a translation in English. The presentation of everything is great, and it taste just as good too! Bummed this place is far away from where I live but still worth the every so often drive. I can see them expanding into a bigger location soon. read more

Giving Frosties three stars. My husband ordered the cherry raspado. Holy crap. The syrup was so thick, they poured so much in the cup it induced a stomachache. Perhaps a different raspado maker? I ordered the fresas con crema, that was (per usual) amazing! a place I'd go out of my way for? No. But a nice random treat? Yes. read more

Found this place on Facebook and thought I'd check it out and I'm so glad that i did! This place is amazing and so is the customer service. They had some of the best ceviche and aguachiles I've had in a very long time, Everything tasted fresh and super flavorful. Noe was super helpful and very welcoming. This is now my go to spot for when I'm craving ceviche. read more
