He is super homesick as we haven't been able to visit in over a year partly due to the pandemic. He has been telling me about his favorite German poppy seed cake that he used to get for every birthday every year, and I've desperately been trying to find it for YEARS. No one here has even ever heard of it. I called Mits Creamy Creations to see if perhaps they could help me out. Just like everyone else in the US I've ever spoken to, she had never heard of it. However, for the first time, she offered to find a recipe and told me she was willing to give it a shot! I was THRILLED! First time ever finding someone who would even attempt this cake. She had the cake done early and I picked it up curbside. It was BEAUTIFUL! But the real test was the next day when I brought my husband the cake. He. Was. FLOORED! In tears. It tasted 100% authentic and he said it is one of the best poppy seed cakes he has ever had. It gave him a taste of home he so desperately needed during this pandemic. It meant so much to him. The service and special care Mits gave me is superb, everything is so professional, well made, on time and most importantly, delicious! It will be a memory we will cherish for a lifetime. I highly recommend them!

Now, make no mistake, I'm going to eat it all, just wish the jars had more cake than icing. The cupcake is definitely more my speed! Easy to remove the icing if need be & you get a generous amount of cake! The cookie was delish also! I did get to try my Fiancé's carrot cake jar which was very good! Service was great & the cake was tasty!

We celebrated at Fleming's, and I cannot tell you how many people approached us just to admire the cake and ask who made it. I proudly shared Liud's business information because talent like hers deserves recognition! What impressed me even more was her professionalism and care. She personally carried the cake out to our vehicle and made sure it was safely positioned for transport. She wouldn't even let us carry it ourselves! That alone showed me how much pride she takes in her work and how seriously she values her customers. And let me tell you, the cake tasted every bit as AMAZING as it looked! It was almost too beautiful to cut, but we enjoyed every delicious bite! Most importantly, seeing my son's face light up when he saw his birthday cake was priceless.
