Awful. The food is trash, they can't even offer fresh bread for sandwiches- texas toast or a bun.

My husband and I came here while on vacation (after spending the day in Joshua Tree National Park). We chose it based on the good reviews and it lived up to expectations. We started with the fries, which stayed nice and crispy (I suggest you follow the server's recommendation and get the habanero sauce so you can double dip in that and the ketchup). I had the delicious Dank House salad. It sounded like an odd combination of flavors (with Brussels sprouts, beets, apples, blue cheese and horseradish dressing) but it all works! Genius! My husband had the rotating chicken sando which was Korean bbq inspired and had amazing flavor! We also had a couple of the local beers on tap. It's kind of a quirky place. Has a little bit of a diner feel on the inside but had a DJ playing music on Saturday evening, which provided some good background music and added to the ambiance without being too loud. The bartender and servers were all very friendly and helpful. If we lived here, this would be a weekly hang out spot for us!

When you sit you already have small plates and things at the table which makes sense for indoors but with the desert setting there was sand everywhere. The tables were also covered in sand which obviously isn't their fault but you would think it would be wiped and set before seating. The fresh drinks were imo the best part by far. They were so delicious and like I said very fresh. The kale salad was alright not really much flavor and weirdly soggy. The beet salad was incredible but definitely NOT enough to share considering everything is served family style (and especially with the price). Burger was alright, my sister had this and said "nothing stood out". Again not enough to be considered "family style". With everything being $30-$40 with recommended 4-5 plates per table with family style I would assume they would actually be shareable sizes. Service was good. Our waitress was amazing and so knowledgeable about the menu. The only thing is there was an older woman as hostess who was kind of just there? She said hi and got to the point but no one said bye or have a good night when we were leaving other than our waitress.

Not only was the staff fun and friendly, evident by not only the great service we received but also by the interactions with the other customers (hard to miss in the quaint space), but the food we ordered were tasty - not to mention noticeably affordable with GENEROUS servings. Will definitely come back next time we're in town after a visit to the national park!

We kept it simple, a couple of salads with a cup of chili on the side. Sometimes simple is exactly right. The salads were fresh, crisp, and actually satisfying, not the sad afterthought kind. And the chili? Genuinely delicious. Rich, comforting, and good enough that I took the rest to go so I could upgrade the next morning's hotel breakfast. No regrets there. The space is casual and lively, nothing fancy, but it has a welcoming energy that makes you want to stay a bit. It was busy when we arrived, always a good sign, and the service matched the vibe. Friendly, easygoing, and attentive without hovering. All in, a really nice stop. Fresh food, warm service, and exactly the kind of place you're glad you found after a long stretch on the road.

BUT it was definitely the biggest, most positive surprise when it came to expectations vs. actual quality! We landed in Palm Springs late in the evening and were starving on our way out to Joshua Tree. After a quick Yelp search for something open past 7-8pm, this spot popped up. We pulled into a super quiet parking lot and found this tiny little place. Looking at it from the outside, we honestly figured it would just be a quick, forgettable pitstop. Boy, were we wrong. For starters, the place was relatively full for a Tuesday evening! We ordered the duck confit nachos, the kimchi bulgogi sandwich, and the pony wings. Wow! Granted, our expectations were unfairly low walking in, but this turned out to be probably our second-best meal of the entire week--and we ate out every single day! It absolutely crushed it in terms of exceeding expectations. It also helped that we happened to be there on a Wednesday, so all the wines were half-priced! Unfortunately, since we weren't familiar with the area, we didn't know exactly how much further we had to drive to our accommodations, so we couldn't imbibe more in such a welcoming environment. (Missed opportunity, but safety first!) Oh, and definitely save room for dessert--their pie with ice cream of the day was delicious too! If you are passing through, do not sleep on this place. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area!

There is a dog friendly patio so we sat out back with our pups and ordered them puppy patties. Service was ok; since we were in the patio and it was a holiday they were super busy so it was understandable that we had to wait quite awhile for things (drinks, check, etc). But they servers all worked together and were nice. They grat parties of 5 an automatic 20%, but it's on the menu so be be mindful of that. The food was not bad. They had a special BBQ menu for the 4th, but didn't have the jalpeno cornbread so we went another direction. We ordered a $5 mimosa and the pretzel bites with BOMB queso and split the smashburger. All were awesome. My friends ordered the chicken sandwich and absolutely RAVED about how good it was!! Overall, this place is awesome and we can't wait to go back and sit at the very lively bar and watch some sports!
