    I was a major fan of this location for over a decade. I recommended this shop to family and friends…read morecountless times and even wrote a 5-star review more than 10 years ago (I attached the screenshot just to show how long I've supported this business). Unfortunately, over the past year, ever since new management took over, this location has gone completely downhill. I recently came in for two new tires. Due to my work schedule, everything was handled over the phone with the manager, who recommended what turned out to be the worst tires I've ever had. Just five days later, one of them had an issue. Of course, I was immediately told it was a "nail in the sidewall" and because I supposedly declined the protection coverage, I would have to buy another tire. The problem is that the coverage was NEVER offered to me in the first place. The same manager I originally dealt with then accused me of lying about not being offered the warranty and only offered me a replacement tire "at cost." While waiting in the lobby, employees were loudly having personal conversations, including crying, hugging someone in the waiting area, and using profanity while talking about being "pissed the fuck off" at a utility company call. Completely unprofessional atmosphere. I eventually contacted corporate directly. To their credit, they apologized, allowed me to purchase the warranty afterward, and helped partially resolve the issue. But honestly, after being a loyal customer for over 10 years, this entire experience was incredibly disappointing. This used to be a place that genuinely cared about customers. Sadly, I can no longer recommend it, and I will not be returning.

    It is hard to find a mechanic you can actually trust, but Stacks is definitely one of the good ones…read morearound here. Brought my car in for some standard maintenance and a noise I was hearing in the front end, and they took care of it without trying to upsell me on a million things I didn't need. They gave me a straightforward breakdown of what was actually wrong and the pricing was very fair for the area. The guys at the desk are down-to-earth and don't give you the runaround. The only reason I'm knocking off one star is that communication can be a little slow on busy days--it took them a bit longer than expected to call me back with the initial estimate. But the quality of the work is solid, the price was right, and they get the job done right the first time. Glad to have a reliable local shop right here in North Babylon. Will definitely use them again.

Sean was great to test my battery which was low and confirmed it was indeed my alternator and discussion took place to have it repaired on 01 02.26, all great and good. I asked for a pdf of my receipt and Ryan stated he emailed me the receipt and if I didn't get it to call back. I called back a few minutes later stating I did not get the receipt and "Tom" started yelling at me over the phone "I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS! I HAVE CALLS COMING IN! CALL BACK AT 5PM I AM BUSY! I AM HANGING UP! I was in shock how I was spoken to! So poorly, it's enough for me to reconsider going back there! Tom is in great need of training how to speak to customers because how I was spoken to, certainly is NOT how you speak to a customer. He was AWFUL! Attention TJ and Jake: Get Tom some training, won't you? Perhaps just get a new desk guy who knows the value of speaking to someone professionally! ...PM
