Visited Olympia clinic. NP Matthews provided excellent care. Wait for appt was very reasonable and wait at clinic was almost nothing. Everyone was professional. Only drawback, if you're using an FSA or HSA, they do not provide a receipt with the correct info to get reimbursed. That should be an easy fix, and one most practices already have in place. read more

My first visit to the Aberdeen location was very positive. I had an infected cyst, and they got me in quickly. Unfortunately, my experience declined after that. I have an extensive history of melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, recurrent cysts, psoriasis, and rosacea. My longtime dermatologist in another state sent my records more than once, but I was told they had not been reviewed. Because of my skin cancer history, I expected a thorough skin examination that did not happen. After returning to my longtime dermatologist, three areas I was concerned about were removed and one diagnosed as skin cancer. I also explained that I had previously experienced a severe reaction to a topical chemotherapy cream. A compounded version was still prescribed, but my longtime dermatologist advised me not to use it and continued my blue light treatments instead. The biggest frustration was communication. Calls repeatedly went to voicemail, return calls often came much later, and the cycle continued for weeks. My patient portal and online scheduling also stopped working, and multiple reset attempts were unsuccessful. To add to my frustration, I recently received a confusing bill that I have been unable to discuss because the billing department also goes to voicemail. I genuinely hoped to establish dermatology care closer to home. However, with my history of melanoma and multiple other skin cancers, communication, continuity of care, and confidence in my provider are essential. Although it requires a 3 1/2-hour drive each way every three months, I chose to return to the dermatology team in Oregon that has successfully managed my care for many years. read more

Frontier Dermatology has been an awful provider, especially the Olympia location. The dermatologist did a surgery to remove a dermoid cyst and it was unsuccessful. The failed procedure resulted in several emergency room visits and ongoing pain, distress, and mounting medical bills. I've tried for over six months to be seen by the derm who performed the unsuccessful surgery and could never get in to be seen despite several ER doctors and urgent room providers providing urgent referrals to surgery. All of the ER doctors and urgent room providers have remarked that this office is impossible to reach and does not engage meaningfully. I do not recommend this location or any Frontier Dermatologist. I've seen several dermatologists with frontier and at different locations--all have egos, do not listen to the patient, and are difficult to reach. I even called to log a complaint and was not able to. This office should be investigated for lack of quality and competent care. I'm canceling my care and receiving a referral for a different dermatologist at a different practice all together on the advice of my primary care provider, ER doctor, and urgent room providers. read more

This was my first visit at this location and it was incredible from start to finish. I showed up to my appointment about 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and was probably only seated for a minute or two before I was called back to the exam room. The front desk staff and the MA that did my intake were all friendly and helpful. Ben Matthews promptly came in to assess my skin, explained what the procedure consisted of and what to expect in the upcoming weeks. He also took the time to explain all of the potential skin changes that I may endure when I get pregnant which was so nice to have him do! I changed an appointment on the phone ( canceled the original one ) Showed up to my new appointment, was told there is none . The old appointment was still in the system . If I would have not shown up I would have to pay a no show fee of $ 75 . The sad part is I had to take sick leave from work x 2 . Had today an appointment at 2:30 pm . Got called in at 2:40 pm , reviewed my chart with the nurse assistant . And now I have been sitting in the examination room for the last 33 min waiting for the provider . MA that roomed me and should have inquired about symptoms told me what my symptoms must be instead of asking and questioned me suspiciously when I told her that no I absolutely did not have those symptoms. She also asked if the way in my sprained ankle was to treat my skin condition after I had already told her I had sprained that ankle. NP that I saw recommended a quack treatment, claiming it is evidenced-based when there are only 2 very small, poorly done studies on that particular treatment. I asked my PCP to give me a referral to another clinic for a second opinion. I have already been spreading the word to friends, family, coworkers not to go to this clinic. read more

My husband had his 6th or so Mohs procedure at Frontier. Dr Jeffry did the surgery. It was a horrible traumatic procedure. It's expected that you'll be there for several hours, he was there for 5 hours. The doctor hurt him several times they were rude and abrupt with him when it was finally time to suture him up doctor gave him the very painful shit then disappeared for an hour. The anesthet wore off forcing him to get more unnecessary shots in his face. i feel that since he's elderly and was by himself myself that day he received horrible care. read more

Do not come here if you have diagnosed autoimmune issues and are expecting anything more than to be asked to bring pictures for proof after spending what is normally a long time getting diagnosed in the first place. They will treat you just like you were treifie the years trying to get diagnosed in the first place. "Can you schedule an appointment for when you will have a flare up? Do you have pictures showing this?" This place is nothing like they say. I did the work and scheduled my appointment online, spend a long time completing all the forms online even getting my insurance done and when I get here they try to get me to fill out the paperwork again. And yes it was the same paperwork. All except two signature forms. Then I called them to make sure everything was completed because I am a medical assistant working 10 hr days, I am currently going through treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, and taking care of a son with cancer. I don't have a lot of time on my hands. They have information up in the rooms stating their patients sometimes wait years for diagnosis and to keep it in mind. They obviously don't because I am being asked to come back when I have a flair up. And everything I am describing with my skin and nails turning yellow/orange and the damaged vessels I have Raynaud's syndrome which I put in all my paperwork and the hard lumps on my face, the scaring under my arms, inner thighs and the hard sharp things in my pores in other parts I am beyond is normal. Just to wear some moisturizer. Which I do every day. I don't even wear makeup anymore because my entire face will peel. But, she would like pictures to prove what I am saying. This iplace is a waste of time. Waited years to get help and just another uncaring doc blowing you off. If you have autoimmune issues do not come here. read more

I had two appointments with Maria Dolmatova. The first appointment, she didn't know what I had but said she couldn't help me. The next appointment, I told her what the other physicians said I had. She started yelling at me. She said nobody but her could know what I had because she had this little gadget thing. I was furious about how she was treating me. I had enough and left. Her accent was very strong so it was difficult to understand her at times. You couldn't even pay me to go back to that office. Found out she's not even a doctor. read more

The sun is finally out and for fair skin folks with tons of birth marks, moles, skin tags, etc., it means you should also be careful about exposure and monitor the coloring and overall change in appearance of all those birth markings, and get checked regularly (yearly). I've been pleased with my last two visits at Silver Falls Dermatology because the nurses and Ben (Dr) are very pleasant and put you at ease when they're doing a procedure. They are always BOOKED solid so the only negative is your wait time in appointment setting, but with that said, they do try their very best to accommodate. They just busy! I've seen this team twice within a few months and will see them two more times before the end of August because I'm quite fair with many chocolate chips all over and so I take preventive care of myself. I stay mostly out of the sun, use sunblock and I still had a few discolored and changing moles that they caught and are working on for me (biopsies and the a more invasive full removal) before they get to the point of no return. Prevention is key! The location on Martin is easy to find with a private lot. The most I've ever waited in the waiting room was 10min. read more

I was seen here for an annual dermatology exam and found it to be easy to make an appointment, they took my insurance, and had a great physician with a nice bedside manner. I was able to call and get an appointment within two weeks which worked perfectly. The building is a bit older and the waiting room isn't really updated, but it's comfortable and clean. The receptionist was nice enough and took the info they needed to bill my insurance. I waited only a few minutes before they called me into the exam room and started the initial data collecting. The assistant reviewing my medical history was well educated and experienced, professional, and proficient and did a great job collecting all the necessary info. The physician herself had wonderful bedside manner and did a very thorough exam of all my spots. I was pleased to hear none of them looked suspicious and she even gave me a a cream to help with a melasma discoloration I was getting on my forehead that worked really well. Every other dermatologist I've talked to about this condition has tried to sell me a laser therapy that they've said I'll have to return for every year. It was an easy and straightforward procedure that took care of all my dermatological needs at the time and there was no over treatment. Highly recommended. read more

I went for an annual dermatology exam. My wait was not long, the staff was friendly. I was very impressed with the dermatologist I saw, Dr. Demmings. He has a great sense of humor. He was very thorough, and explained his findings and answered all of my questions. I will continue to go to this clinic for my annual exams. I went for a routine cancer screening in the Vancouver office. First, they cancelled my appointment because they were short staffed. I waited 3 months to get in! They did see me the following week. The PA, Hamby, basically did a drive by. she even failed to check the backs of my arms and legs. Then she said that she didn't see anything and said "I wish all of my patients could be like you". Out the door she ran. I got home and went onto the patient portal, and low and behold, there were 5 findings listed. I resorted to Google to find out what they were. One of them could indicate a serious platelet disorder. I prefer an explanation in person, while I am sitting there on the table, and not Dr Google. It can be OK, it can be serious-how am I to know? I was given a referral to a doc who has since left Silver Falls, but after figuring out my insurance referral, they were able to get me in with another dermatologist at their office. After checking in for my appointment, the wait was relatively short even though I was told that I might have to wait a bit because they're pretty busy. The receptionist, nurse and PA who saw me were kind, friendly and professional. They were thorough and mapped out all of my trouble areas on my skin. I am a fair-skinned person who used tanning beds in the 80s and 90s and I'm paying for it now (don't do it!) so I am very familiar with dermatology clinics in the places we have lived (husband is military) and I can say that they are a top-notch dermatology clinic. I hope that people will understand the strain that medical clinics are under trying to deal with the backlog of people who were unable to see docs last year because of COVID. I am happy to be a new client and I'll definitely be back for my regular skin checks. read more

Well worth the wait!!! Due to Covid most medical services have a backlog. I was given a referral from my doctor, it was almost 2 months before an appointment opened. I had a rash on my ankle that wouldn't go away. A biopsy was taken the day of my appointment, results and couse of action within a week of biopsy; new cream...a fricken miracle after a year of this rash it is gone gone. No more pain, burning or itching. Well worth the wait. The stress of the pain is gone. I am so impressed. I'm so glad they did the biopsy point blank "let's figure this out" I didn't have to try this oh that didn't work maybe this will...no it was addressed, do a biopsy, let's figure it out and make a plan...HIGHLY Recommend!!! My PCP diagnosed me with eczema, and I was constantly applying strong creams to my skin. I was sent to Silver falls for a curious spot on my arm, but mentioned my eczema issues. He took a good look at it through a jeweler's loop (?) and found it was a reaction to the soap chemicals I've been using in the laundry.
