I get the runaround between this dude Brandon and these 2 girls...one of whom was working with 2 customers already. As she types I ask about the wires and find out they're not $35 as I was told. They're $45. Ok I can deal with that. Then she says they've been taking out monthly fees-for an account that hadn't even been 'activated yet'. Keep in mind I also tried to sign up online and through the Android app and received errors across the board. This was my 3rd attempt at a branch but the wait was always ludicrous. I tried calling cust. service....Nothing--"go to the branch and they will take care of it". Email? "Sorry they DON"T HAVE AN EMAIL.I can give you an address to WRITE to them".... THis is why I was back at the branch.... Well now Brandon goes "in the back to see what he can do"....What is this a used car lot? "Yeahhhhh sorry we can't do anything." Of course they can. When I asked 'how can i be charged for an account to which I didn't have access?" he smirked and said "well you have access here and at the branches all the time soo....." and threw his gangly little arms up in the air as though he was confused by my intolerable ignorance. Needless to say, I closed the account. The total fee charged was $20. They actually gave up a customer that was coming from their main competitor over $20. Wow! Got a response call from Carla at their executive office. THey refunded the fees and apologized. Now actually GETTING the fees back will require another visit. But I found her to be courteous and professional. Maybe I'll go pay Brandon a visit tomorrow and pick up my whopping $20

We have been having problems accessing my brothers account so I took the POA form and my ID by the Elgin location to get assistance resolving the debit card problems and to add myself as a signer on the account. They declined to accept my POA form, which is perfectly legal. Signed by all parties and notarized. I took off work to take care of this today and had to travel to a different town because the closest location is 40 miles from my home. Now they're requiring me to go back to my brothers nursing home with a blank form in hand and a notary tagging along so I can completely redo what has already been done. I want to reiterate that I've already had need to use this form with other companies and had no problems. This bank is misnamed. In no way are they convenient.
