A SMOOTH RIDE & EASY CHECK-IN! My ride from ONT airport to Houston was the smoothest flight I've ever experienced thus far (even better than United). My flight's captain was experienced, friendly with passengers, and had great communication. The flight attendants were decent, they were mostly promotional staff. They offered good deals on credit cards and flight miles. The Frontier check-in counter at ONT airport wasn't busy. I arrived for an early morning flight and waited less than 10 mins in line till I was checked in. It's recommended to check-in through the Frontier app before you drop off your luggage and grab a bag tag. The attendant was multitasking, working at the check-in desk and later making her way to the boarding pass station inside the Frontier terminal. I'm still not happy about the excessive fees for carry-ons and checked bags. However, I got a good deal on a round trip flight for about $800. My flight to Houston was about three hours. We never experienced turbulence or bumpy landings. read more

I have the Frontier credit card and Frontier's go wild pass, so yes, I do get free check in bag and/or free carry on bags (so worth it to have). But aside from that, I enjoy my fights with Frontier whenever I go to LV, SF, CO or KY (thru Cincinnati). The crews are nice and the price is right. Don't expect to pay the price you pay which is way less than the bigger named airlines and expect the quality of the bigger airlines. Their planes are clean and the first 3 rows DO recline (pay for the upgrade). Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to have Jaime (pictured) and the guy who prefers to be incognito and unmanned (his back turned) as your stewardess because they're so funny, helpful and cool . read more

I have been flying on Frontier out of Ontario Airport now for most of my flights for a couple of years now. I am a current Platinum Elite member. I am a Go Wild pass holder. I am also a Discount Den member as well. If you learn how to use the Frontier system, it works out great and you do save alot of money on flights. For the most part, I usually get good service here! I love that feeling at the end of a trip and when our plane is landing back here at ONT. Nothing better than being back to home sweet home! I can't wait for my next Frontier adventure. read more

Well I wish I could leave a positive review but unfortunately again NO! This will be the 4th time with this airline the other three times were all delayed! This one well...we were on the plane ready to take off the flight attendeds were starting their safety talk when pilot come on and says sorry folks unfortunately my flight time runs out in 3 minutes so we can't take off. Gather your things you will need to get off the plane...and this was after the flight being delayed already about 1.5 Hours or so I lost time! Well needless to say it was a mess afterwards trying to book a different flight but the worst part was trying to collect my luggage since it was already in the plane!!! What a mess that was! Super budget friendly round trip fees from Ontario to Vegas for $60 but I would've happily paid double that amount elsewhere if I knew in advance all the trouble I would end up experiencing. First of all, you are only allowed to bring one small personal item, such as a purse, small backpack, etc. So if you plan on bringing a carry-on bag that is normally free at another airline, you would have to pay. I brought along a small kids duffle bag and despite others ahead of me that had a larger stuffed backpack and went right through boarding at the gate, I was asked for my bag to be measured. Interesting. Then there's that delay. There was a 2 hours flight delay getting to Vegas but we were still asked to check in at the same time (?????). The return flight got delayed three times before it was eventually cancelled so we had to get to the airport by 4am the following day to catch the earliest flight back home. I've flown numerous times, even been on red eye flights as well as same day trips, and I've never been as exhausted as I was taking this two day trip to Vegas. Just a head's up : they charge for everything on flight, so don't expect anything complimentary unless if you're an elite member. There's also no free wifi. All I can say is, thanks for a safe flight home but no thanks for any future trips flying Frontier. read more

Because of the shoddy treatment we got at Frontier Ontario, I was not able to board, and missed a flight for the FIRST TIME IN OVER 30 YEARS OF FLYING. The agents kept insisting that my Kurgo dog backpack was "just a backpack and not a dog carrier" yet even after showing pictures of it from Petco, where I bought the bag, they then added it was not an "airline approved dog carrier." NOWHERE ON FRONTIER'S SITE DOES IT STATE THE REQUIREMENT FOR AN "AIRLINE APPROVED DOG CARRIER" (which anyone with half a brain can tell you is no more than a marketing ploy from 99% of products claiming so on Amazon). The site explicitly states that only a "travel container" is required when traveling with a pet. My dog carrier backpack actually exceeds every single one of Frontier's requirements for a travel container, and yet we were still denied boarding. Before I got to the airport, I looked at the seat map to see how full the flight was, and every seat but one was taken. While waiting for my friend to return to the airport to pick us up and take us back home, it dawned on me that the entire ordeal they put me through was all probably a scam to get me to cancel my ticket and lose the funds for what looked like an overbooked flight. This will be the first and last time I'll fly with my cherished dog on Frontier. When I asked the agent to "uncheck me in" (because he was completely confused when I asked him to cancel my ticket for me), he made sure to point out I would "lose the seat in 2F." Horrible experience! Was on a 1030pm flight, and at exactly 10pm, the gate agent for frontier started to announce over the intercom that they would be closing the gate in 3 minutes, a whole 27 minutes before departure. What?! so of course everyone rushes to board, and then they close the door, just sit there and do not takeoff. Hurry up and wait so that the pilots and the flight attendant can start charging for wages. We then of course get into our destination early, but the runway was busy so we ended up circling the destination airport for 30 minutes before landing. Then we get to the gate 30 minutes earlier, but our gate was not available so we ended up sitting on the tarmac For another 30 minutes. I booked a flight with this airline for my Elderly mother. The flights kept getting delayed first one hour than two hours and three hours. Then they boarded everyone on the plane, drove them out to the tarmac and let them sit for over an hour only to discover the flight was canceled because they did not have a pilot to fly the plane. So for nine hours, my wheelchair bound mother was stuck in that airport with immense back pain and starving because she hadn't eaten. I had no idea when I booked. Dont use app. I am ashamed to say That I actually recommended them to family and coworkers. After their website made an incorrect transaction. I immediately called to correct it. The fee amount would have been the same but due to commonly policy they refused to exchange incorrect the baggage purchase. After inquiring and arguing some more, they finally agreed to make the changes but only with another purchase fee. Unbelievable. If it had been my mistake or I had of changed plans. Frontier Airlines denied me for a refund when I accidentally bought a total of 3 bundles round trip. I explained I only wanted 1 bundle and I called right away and customer service couldn't make any changes they advised us to contact the person at the gate and explain and they would note it in their system and when we left from Las Vegas we would do the same. I did call right away on the day of the check in. They emailed me with an approval for the refund and the next day I was declined without being contacted. I was disabled and I should've got on first, but I was last to get on and the attendance didn't really care to get me an attendant to get me on in the first zone. So by the time I got on, I had to put my bags back on aisle 15 still being disabled no respect for the disabled folks. They didn't keep calling for a wheelchair to get me on first I was on last. $10 dollars for a drink of water? We had a 1 hour layover in Dallas that turned into 5 hours then flight canceled. They offered no help on hotels or food credit. Neither advice at all on anything.The Frontier Rep yelled at us all and said he would not answer any questions from us. He told a single lady traveling with twin babies that she would need to figure out some other place to tend to her babies as they kept crying. Oh my gosh -- we will never fly Frontier again. My husband and I had never flown with them before, but we decided to give it a try because we were heading to Portland, Oregon for a weekend getaway and wanted a nonstop flight. The red flags started before we even arrived at the airport. Our Uber driver asked which airline we were flying, and when we said "Frontier," he immediately shook his head and said he and many people he knows have had terrible experiences with them. We laughed it off at first -- but now we know exactly what he meant. Originally, our flight was scheduled to depart at 9:00 AM. At 8:45 AM, we received a text saying it was delayed until 2:45 PM -- which made no sense because our boarding time was listed as 11:00 AM. We called customer service, and that's when we learned the most ridiculous thing: because we booked the flight the day before daylight saving time, our flight time was changed -- and Frontier does this for all flights during time changes twice a year. Even worse? We were never notified until the morning of our flight. We arrived at Ontario Airport -- which is a small airport -- with TSA PreCheck, about 1.5 hours before our scheduled flight. We hadn't checked in 24 hours in advance (our mistake), but assumed we could check in at the counter like every other airline. Wrong. The line moved painfully slowly. By the time we reached the counter, it was just under an hour before our flight -- and the agent told us we couldn't check in. Not only us, but the 10 other people in line behind us were also denied boarding. She said check-in and baggage drop had to be done at least an hour before departure and insisted check-in should've been completed via the app 24 hours in advance. Then things got worse. The agent was incredibly rude -- almost as if she wanted to provoke us. She even made a child cry in another family she denied boarding to. At one point, she told me -- a 55-year-old woman who has raised three kids and worked for 25 years -- that I needed to "be responsible" and "get to the airport on time." I was shocked. To top it off, she was training new employees while treating passengers this way. After everything we experienced, I honestly can't understand why anyone would want to work for or fly with Frontier. When we called customer service, they offered us a gift card to fly with Frontier again. Absolutely not. We're currently disputing the charge and fighting to get our money back. We ended up buying new tickets with Southwest -- and they treated us with respect and professionalism, as any airline should. Save yourself the stress. Just don't fly Frontier. Ever. read more

The female gate attendant at gate 211 for frontier was extremely rude and condescending for us being 2 minutes late to their closed door policy which we already were no longer allowed to board the plane anyways so why rub more salt in the wound by being a jerk too? I have to say this airline has been pretty alright besides sometimes having to deal with their staff members. Overall the flights weren't too delayed and at least they weren't canceled. I've flown with Frontier to Chicago and also Las Vegas a few times but have noticed that not all employees are the same. Some people are super nice and others are hating life. It just depends. As every year goes by they make the weight and baggage allowance so small. It seems like they want everyone to have nothing on them which makes no sense while traveling. It's a scam. They profess to be a low cost airline but they nickel and dime you for everything from baggage,seat assignment, and even charge you if you need assistance at the counter. In the end the final cost after all the charges they added to a flight to Dallas was the same or more as the standard price other airlines at Ontario were charging. If you have no luggage, don't care what seat you're assigned, and really don't need any type of assistance then maybe this airline is for you. However, if you want honest pricing and quality customer service then this isn't the airline you should be looking at. Stick with more reputable airlines. I'm literally taking my first flight with Frontier today, sitting in the plane cause our departure now has been delayed. They just finished the flight spiel and the pilot announced there will be a 25-minute delay! A few moments later, they open the plane door and the allowed more guests into the plane! I was thinking in the back of my head, as everyone else in the plane was thinking and saying out loud, that the delay better not be because of these people that arrived late! Some of us have made plans and it's very insulting that our time is not important to this airline. I advise that if you don't care about flying in on time and just want the cheapest flight you can find, then this is your carrier. But if you like to stick to a tight schedule and respect the pick up time your family or friends will.pick you up from the airport, then this carrier is not for you at all! Stay away from this carrier! So, as I sit here in this delayed departure, nothing has been offered to make the patrons feel valuable. Maybe pass.out some quick snacks or something! We're sitting in seats, that are barely padded, if you really want to call it padding. It's like they wrapped hard plastic seats with pleather material. That's it! Legroom is typical of these short trip planes. Staying on schedule or close to schedule is very important to me. So I definitely won't be taking Frontier ever again. I got an email saying my flight is delayed until 9:59pm, with is an hour and half from the original time of departure. I asked the frontier customer service representative if that true and she went to ask at the frontier counter and came saying it's only delayed one hour not an hour and half. She asked me to step out of the line and come back at least an hour prior to 9:29, like 8:20 or so, since we are unable to check in before that. We listened and left. We returned to the line at 8:20pm as advised and the waited in line, less than 2 minutes in line, the front desk staff were screaming at the line, is there anyone else waiting to check in for NY flight your flight will boarding will be closing and you need to come to the front of the line now. Not only us responded in shock, but there were a hand full of customers that left with us and rush to the front desk of the check in counter and we formed a line of front of the front desk. At the counter we were met by an angry, rude, extremely unprofessional and unpleasant frontier customer representative, who is a female white or Hispanic individual, in her mid 20's. She yelled at us as if we did something wrong. Then she told us she'll charge us $25 each to get us our tickets. I explained to her that all we did is follow directions up to this point. I explained I was a a disabled veteran and I could not afford to pay for her "inconvenience fee" I asked to be seated next to my wife who was my care taker and she ignored our request and said, "I don't care if you are a veteran or not" next time you pay and she seated us farther apart, I was in the center of the plane and my care taker wife was in the back. The entire time with no snack or water being offered for a flight that was 5 hours. Aside from Just pure chaos, unorganized, Unprofessional, Rudeness, Disrespectful, Uncomfortable flight seats, and zero customers service, it was simply the worst flight experience. read more

So, I finally had a chance to give a review on this airline. I am not sure why my daughter decided to fly with them in the first place even after my warnings. She was scheduled for a flight back from MIA, and the flight got delayed with no explanation from airline representatives. She had to buy a new ticket from American, while Frontier gave her he'll for choosing another airline and not them. They wanted her to stick with them with a stop in Texas, then another in PHX with a 15-hour layover to get back to Ontario. Are you kidding me. I'm not sure why this airline isn't bankrupt and go out of business. I ask all of you not to support this garbage airline that has no decency when it comes to passengers. This airline is the complete worst airline. My 12 year old daughter and I travel quite often. We we boarded our plane in Orlando, Florida. Our plane sat on the tarmac for 2 1/2 hours for a small part that was not necessary to fly to Houston Texas. We kept on being told that it would be 15 more minutes that turned into 2 1/2 hours we were assured that our connecting flight would be waiting for us to board there was 25 of us on the plane from Florida that had the connection to Ontario California airport when arriving in Houston, Texas, we were assured that our plane would be waiting for us to board. When arriving at Houston were told that some other plane was in our parking spot that they would have to wait until that plane pulled out. That was our plane to go to Ontario when we departed. The plane were told that we had to go across the airport to customer service When arriving at customer service were told that there were no more flights to Ontario until the next day we were offered a flight that left four hours after our original flight and then told that we would sit in Las Vegas airport for 9 hours. Were told that there would be nothing they could do for us. My 12 yr old daughter was sleeping on the floor of the airport... Horrible customer service no empathy.
