Very tight seating!! Ok for a short trip, but no longer. They damaged my bag on the way to vacation and something rancid spilled all over it. Since I thought it would air out, I let it go, but hadn't noticed the damage to my wheels. When I got home I filed a complaint about whatever dead animal spilled on my luggage and the broken wheels. They wouldn't do anything because it wasn't in the FIRST FOUR HOURS!! read more

We are now going on day 2 of what was a three time delayed, ending up canceled flight from Detroit to Atlanta. Today , we had to catch a flight to Denver, for a layover to get to Atlanta , and now having maintenance issues which will delay us and possible miss our connecting flight. Not to mention, staff at check in had no sense of professionalism .... No matter the price, we will NEVER BE BOOKING WITH FRONTIER AIRLINES AGAIN. It's only a matter of time until they are in the same boat as spirit airlines. Just throw the whole airline away at this point . read more

The first time we used Frontier was a hit! So much so that I've used it again without incident. But this time, they were most unhelpful. We arrived approximately two minutes beyond bag check. Long story short, people moved exceedingly slow and didn't bother to call the gate or anything. They had exactly one agent out of four that was concerned and gave us further information about getting a refund. Then they offered to rebook for the tune of more than $600. No thank you. Y'all missed the mark this time. I really hope my return trip is better. read more

We flew Frontier Airlines from Atlanta to Puerto Rico and overall had a solid experience. The flight actually landed early, which is always a plus. There was some turbulence during takeoff and the seat width felt a bit tight, but nothing out of the ordinary for budget travel. Despite a slightly bumpy start, the flight was smooth overall and got us to vacation mode right on schedule. For a value airline, it delivered exactly what we needed. read more

We were supposed to attend a family funeral back in February 2026. The Northeast was having a blizzard. We paid extra money to have the ability to change or cancel our flights due to weather or any other applicable issue. Our flight from PBI to PHL on AVELO was delayed 26 hours. When we went to PBI to cancel our flight with Avelo because we would be missing the funeral they were WONDERFUL! They refunded our flight without an issue. We proceeded to go to the FRONTIER counter to speak with an associate to cancel the flight from PHL to PBI because we weren't in PHILADELPHIA to be able to board that flight -- we were still in Florida because of the storm. The associate was not very helpful. She was on her phone, looking around, talking to somebody else, doing everything, looking everywhere, except helping us and our problem. She gave us a card and said follow these directions. We asked her to please make a notation that we would not be able to make that flight because we were not going to be in PHILADELPHI, PA as we were still in FLORIDA. We thought she had done that. We received an email from FRONTIER saying we were a "no show" and they would not honor our refund -- how could we show up at PHL when we NEVER flew to PHL from Florida in the first place Because our original flight was CANCELLED due to the blizzard. WE HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER with a FRONTIER MEMBER # since 2013. We will NEVER fly FRONTIER AGAIN! read more

Flight itself was great. The flight attendants (all 4 of them) were terrible. Nicole had the worst attitude and treated passengers like they were 2nd class citizens. She was very arrogant. (My wife and I had no personal contact with any of them but watched other interactions). I will not fly Frontier Airlines again. I will fly airlines that treat their passengers with courtesy and respect. read more

Took my first trip on Frontier this past week. Arrived early in Phoenix and returned early on a red eye back in Detroit. I decided to get "business class" seats and was seated in the first row. Both ways. Not an issue to Phoenix. On the return red eye the flight crew decided to have a 3 hour animated/loud pow wow right in front of me. My problem was I didn't have headphones. This conversation kept me up the entire flight. I found it rude. Especially on a red eye flight. Everything else about Frontier was a pleasant surprise. This may have killed my ever flying them again though. read more

Frontier Airlines is not a company that I will deal with again. I paid $69 for a carry on. The bag was whisked away from me at the gate. I had knee replacement surgery recently. I use the carry on to help me walk. I am not an experienced traveler so I assumed it would be returned at the end at the gate. I didn't make a fuss, I am not a confrontational person. I had to walk the entire airport to the luggage carousel to retrieve my carry on. This was done with difficulty to say the least. I contacted Frontier to refund me because I paid for a service that I did not receive. Their answer was that their policy says you have to get the refund at the gate when you board. I won't deal with a company who is so unethical that they will charge for a service, not provide the paid for service and then refuse to refund the fee charged. I was offered a $25 voucher to do what with. Not a satisfactory experience. read more

I canceled my boyfriends brother and gfs flight on my account due to medical reasons I was expecting a refund turns out it was credited $415 to their names not mine I asked if that could be changed and was told they can't do that so now I'm out $415!!! WASTE of money and time!!! read more

I booked a flight with Frontier Airlines, that was supposed to be a non stop flight.. However, my flight times were changed twice and, then a stop was added, which causes an inconvenience to my trip. Now, I can't get a refund, because it's past 24 hrs after the purchase of my ticket... But they're allowed to change my flight, to my inconvenience 2 months after the purchase?? Good ole bait and switch tactic. So now I have to book a new flight, and can only get a credit from Frontier. I want my money back. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Terrible company Horrible customer service Deceiving booking process. It's says one stop on the initial itinerary then you book it and that one stop is 12 hours. Try to get a refund within 24 hours of booking and they charge $200. read more

Frontier is all about that bullshit .... They charge me $65 to check a bag then because of a false late departure email say they can't guarantee my bags make it there and take it with me onboard. I get to the gate and the agent tells me that my bag can't go onboard and they have to check it. But because they are checking at the gate it's another $25. I get onboard and not only is the flight not full but most of the bins are empty ... I've noticed they do this shit a lot at Detroit Metro airport because the gate agents get a commission on the fees paid at the gate. #baitandswitch #snakeoil read more

Booked a flight to Phoenix from Detroit, leaving on a Friday and coming back on a Sunday (10/8/23) They changed the return flight 4x, finally settling on returning on Monday at 3 pm (requiring using PTO time I did not have). So I had to cancel (which was refunded). Rebooked through outgoing Frontier and return Spirit (you can see where this is going). Spirit also changed the return to arriving Monday afternoon, so I had to cancel again. What actually then drives their one star review is the customer service, their website claims a $99/passenger cancellation fee for canceling a flight 7-59 days prior to departure - but they refused to give it to me. Furthermore, the agent was very rude and ended the text conversation after less than 2 minutes waiting while keeping me waiting routinely more than 20 minutes for their responses, leaving me with no way to communicate. In the end it was a loss of only around $50, but the wait and the rudeness of the agent were unacceptable. I understand cancellation fees (and that they are not responsible for other airlines) but that is lying to put one thing on the website and not adhering to that. read more

Never have I felt so robbed. They changed the gate last min. Didn't send us a gate change until 30 min after. Making us 2 min late for pre boarding. The lady at the counter said tuff luck as she let the pilots on. And sent us to the front desk. Only ro get a second notice saying the flight was delayed 30 min... but didn't matter they wouldn't let us on forcing us to pay an ADDITIONAL 500USD . Reached out to frontier they only sent pre made scripts saying "they will do better next time " there will not be a next time. I've never been so mad . And I've now had 12 hours in the airport to become more angry. Lost out on our rental car. And our hotel room just to pay double. Be forced jnto a different state. And may double for a rental car we have to drop at a different location ontop of a 5 hour drive to our original location. Thanks frontier "your the WORST in america" read more

zero stars I flew from Atlanta to BWI. The customer service representatives were horrible. It was all three 2 females and a 1 male threatening to make passengers rebook their flight. We flew round trip from DEN to DTW. We (2 of us) booked 2 carry on bags. $69 in advance(each bag) . $99 at gate. When we checked in for the return flight we specifically said again "two bags" and their system said "$0 charge". We wrongfully assumed that $69 was for 'round trip' but when we got to the gate- we were flagged - along with everyone else with a bag. They pulled us out of line to say (to a lot of us) "you didn't pay. Now it's $99 per bag". When we finally got on the plane there was no room for the bags. It was a nightmare and a total scam to up charge us the additional $30 per bag. $99 per bag, is insane. But to forbid us from pre paying - then acting like it was our fault when there was no less than 20 passengers in the same boat. My son asked "does this happen a lot?" The gate attendant said "all the time" She was so rude and acted like we were vermin to her. People. Hear this. It cost us a surprise additional $400 to bring two bags round trip. Employees treat you like you are stupid and worthless if you question it. This is not a discount airline. The additional $400 made this flight SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than any other flight we could have chosen from. The reason I decided to leave the review was the rude and condescending attitude of the people at the gate. They treated us like we were some kind of scum on the bottom of their shoe. I'm on the plane now, headed home. But I will NEVER EVER Fly this airline ever again. It's one thing that they gouge you on baggage. But to rig their own system to get the extra $30 per bag- is criminal. Every single person who was on the second leg of their trip - saw zero charge when they checked in - and a $99 per bag fee at the gate. 20 people I could see - were in the same boat as us. It slowed up EVERYONE who was boarding. The review is PURELY because of the way we were all treated, like we were sub human. DO NOT take the bait when booking online and thinking you are getting a smoking deal. It's the worst bait and switch scam I've seen in a long time. The icing on the cake was the disrespect and condescending attitude of their employees. I fly a lot. This time I let my adult son book the trip. When I saw he booked Frontier I cringed - but stayed silent. He needed to learn this lesson himself - and boy did he learn. Do not fly this airline. Seats are cramped and uncomfortable. Plane is filthy. Rates are MORE EXPENSIVE because of the hidden bag fees. There is no internet on flight. They want $4 for a soft drink or coffee. It's a cut rate experience at premium pricing. Don't be fooled like my son and I were. read more

I don't know how much lower I can bring their ratings at this point. They broke our luggage and marked it with limited liability so we couldn't even file a claim. The check in counter at DTW was useless as they didn't do anything to rectify the issue. Instead they said to contact San Francisco counter since they marked it. To add cherry on top, they lost our car seat and told us they'll call us as early as next morning but it's been 7 days, no calls as of yet. For the return flight we were in line an hour before the flight took off and by the time we got to the counter, it was literally 58 min before take off and they wouldn't let us check in because we had a luggage that needed to be checked in. They wouldn't work with us even though we were in line before their 1 hour cut off for luggage. Such a horrible service...Our next flight is in 8 hours which will be 12 hrs with a layover vs our original 6 hour direct flight. read more

If I could use a negative number I would. There was a problem with the plan and they dinked around wit it for almost 12 hours before canceling the flight. When I got the notice on my email I went back to the kiosk and no one was there. Had to go to the check in desk where the lady was able to get me a similar flight...two days later. I have no car and no place to stay and there is no one there who has the power to help. I should have been offered a hotel motel voucher for at least one night but instead I'm out 2 nights out of my own pocket not to mention the cost of eating out and the additional money I'll have to pay for my long term parking. Frontier did give me a $10 food voucher and $100 voucher toward my next frontier flight. It's safe to say that voucher will go unused read more

I cannot express how dissatisfied I was with our flights. Each flight left well over an hour late, for different reasons. Our seats felt like city bus seats. They pack you in like sardines. I was super skeptical about Frontier Airlines. It sounded cut-rate... I mean, isn't "Frontier" synonymous with "Wild, wild West?". I did not want to fly the wild, wild, West. And it turns out, I didn't. Not only were their prices the lowest around (for a three leg trip - Det-LV; LV-Den; Den-Det), but their service was flawless and every flight left on time. And the flawless service and on-time flights? During Thanksgiving week. I will definitely be flying Frontier again. read more

I suggest NOT ever flying with Frontier! I wouldn't if my life was depending on it. The service is terrible in person and over the phone/chat.. I have flown on most of the airlines including spirit. Frontier is by far the worst. They forced us to miss the flight then wouldn't pay our fee's to rebook with them. Flight was the most inexpensive for sure, but..... Flight was scheduled for 6.30a.m. on a Tuesday in March 2013, Detroit to SFO. When printing my boarding pass the day before, I noticed that the flight was changed. Flights change all the time a couple of hours. But this was big. It was for 7:30p.m. THAT DAY!! No phone call, no email change, nothing. Thank goodness my travelling companion and I had packed earlier and we were ready. Thank goodness that we both live within 30 minutes of the airport. Thank goodness that I noticed. The flight itself was delayed, we almost spent the night in Denver as we thought our connection was gone, but it was delayed (imagine doing the OJ Simpson commercial of running through the airport and jumping over children). Planes were clean, staff were friendly, flight was smooth. Staff at Denver were awesome for getting us on the plane, doors closing behind us and almost starting to move. Coming home was interesting as I was trying to print the boarding pass and because it showed that we didn't fly out on the original flight, they CANCELLED the return flight. Can you say 45 minutes of your heart in your throat because you don't know if you have a flight. It was fixed, we had seats, but OMG. But would I fly again if they are not going to inform me that there is a change in the flight? I don't know. I am waffling between giving 2 or 3 stars, when the score is actually 2.5 read more

Zero stars for Frontier airlines. None of the check in kiosks work. That might not matter if there was a human being at the counter. We have been here for an hour and the line of puzzled people behind us is getting longer and longer. Can't check in. Can't check bags. Can't ask any questions. If I could give 0 stars, I would. About a month in advance, my family booked 5 round trip tickets to Orlando, Florida. Our first mistake was believing Frontier was even semi reliable. We get to the airport of the day of our flight--and yes, we got here early because we are the type of family to be paranoid about missing our flight. We had high hopes on our way, chatting about the great things we would do with our whole family who would be flying there on separate flights (they were smart enough not to chose frontier). Those hopes and dreams were crushed after a long day at the airport, where our plane was overbooked BY 40 PEOPLE. Yes, that's right 40 people. So, we opted to take the travel voucher and fly on the flight departing 2 hours later. Yeah, we were wrong. Turns out, that flight was over booked too! So now we will miss our cousin's performance, our flight friends are missing a wedding, and we are all gaining disappointment in the staff of frontier--the frontier staff who treated us with hostility, and claimed that the 40 people being cheated out of their flight were being "rowdy". I can say with complete honesty, no one was being rowdy, people were simply trying to find out why we weren't able to board the plane that we PAYED TO BOARD WEEKS IN ADVANCE. don't fly frontier. NEVER EVER choose Frontier Airlines! This airline is a cruel joke for those seeking cheap rates! A rude and non-helpful counter clerk at the Detroit airport caused us to miss our flight by refusing to check us in. He left the counter and we had to call the reservation line to attempt to get a refund. She stated we would lose $100 for "cancelling" our flight. I reminded her that we did not cancel! The counter clerk refused to check in our luggage. When we finally spoke to a supervisor after we missed our flight, she blamed us for missing our flight even though we were there an hour in advance. The airport was not crowded and the TSA agent verified that we had time to make our flight if the Frontier counter clerk had provided the customer service we needed. We learned from another Frontier counter clerk that there were problems going on behind the scenes. Their solution was to put an incompetent clerk at the front desk to refuse additional passengers while the supervisor and one other employee handled the behind-the-scene problem. Now we have to fight to receive a refund for the flight and baggage fees. read more
