This was the worst field trip we have ever been on! I've been a teacher for 7 years and have used…read moreseveral different bus companies. We had a "complicated" trip with about 160 passengers and multiple stops/destinations. Biggest issues: 1. They wouldn't let us adjust the pick up times even though we had the buses rented the entire day. We had to book a separate company for drop off for 2 of our buses. 2. They were late to the original pick up time!! (It worked out that we could send 1 bus later.) This was a performance-based trip so we almost missed our performance. 3. One of the buses just left while we were there, we still had another stop to get to but they "had to do their routes." This caused a group of students and a parent to get stranded in the hot sun for about 2 hours. Parents and principals complained. 4. Because of the bus leaving, we had to cram 130 people on 2 buses to get to our last stop, including having to send a group of chaperones in an uber because they couldn't fit on the buses. 5. Again because of double booking, even though the drivers were kind to us, they were frustrated because they were late to their routes. I have never had a bus company be so hard on times, and not flexible at all when things were running behind.

We were extremely grateful, and a friend of ours was able to pick the phone up on our behalf. Zero hassle; just fantastic, personal, elite customer service. Would undoubtedly use their services again. EDIT: forgot to add that the buses were very clean and comfortable

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience…read more We hired this charter bus company to transport approximately 110 youth soccer players to a soccer camp. We paid $6,524 for the transportation, and the company canceled on us the day before the scheduled trip, leaving our nonprofit organization scrambling at the last minute to find alternative transportation for more than 100 kids. What has made the situation even worse is the lack of communication afterward. We have repeatedly tried contacting Robert, the person we had been dealing with, regarding the money we paid and the cancellation. Instead of addressing the situation directly, our calls have gone unanswered, and when we have called from different numbers, we have reportedly been given different names. This is not how a professional transportation company should conduct business, especially when dealing with a nonprofit organization and the transportation of children. We paid a substantial amount of money in good faith and expected the transportation we contracted and paid for. Canceling one day before the event caused significant stress, additional expenses, and disruption for our organization and the families counting on us. We are asking for accountability and a resolution regarding the $6,524 payment. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company get everything in writing, confirm the reservation well in advance, and make sure you understand exactly what happens if the company cancels.

Great bus service in the City of Cerritos…read more The "COW" has multiple buses that circle the city. Great for getting to either of the Cerritos malls (Los Cerritos or Towne Center), a park, the senior center or to the library at the civic center. Fifty cents will get you anywhere and you'll always have a comfortable place to sit as they rarely get crowded. I find the bus drivers to be very friendly and personable - they give up a smile very easily - and from my experience they make safety a priority. Timetables and routes are available on the city's website (cerritos.us) or you can pick up a copy at city hall.

The buses were recently upgraded to the one you see in the picture via federal grant monies. The buses run on natural gas, so they offer a more environmentally friendly form of public transit. The fare for a single trip anywhere in Cerritos is $0.50. The buses also offer monthly passes for $20.00. They have essentially two routes going in opposite loops around the city (meeting at the Cerritos Civic Center). From one end of town to the other end, say from CPE to the Cerritos mall, roughly takes almost an hour. So, if you have the patience, or don't have a car of your own, be prepared for a 45-1 hour commute. In the meantime, you'll be able to view Cerritos from a different perspective: sideways! The design of the rear of the buses are stylistic representations of various sites and landmarks of Cerritos. One may have a stylized image of the Cerritos Library, for example. Another may have one of the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. These are ways to keep track of the actual buses that you may have sat in, as there are about 8 total buses running around town. The only downside is that the buses don't run very late (after 9pm). But in all other respects, these buses run well and have pretty cool air conditioning (a must in hot and muggy summers).

Artesia Station for the Metro A (Blue) Line is surprisingly a big one, a huge hub for local…read moreconnecting city busses and services with a large parking lot for commuters. It resides on the outskirts of the city of Compton, Los Angeles, bordering on the northside of Long Beach. It definitely needs some clean up in places and better functionality for safety especially exiting and boarding the platform for the light rail metro. I did notice that there wasn't as much light as the sun set in the parking lot area which is also part of their bus bay depot for lots of connections including one I took more inland down Artesia Blvd. Not a ton of signs and postings for route like you'd hope they'd have to make navigating easy, except for a small few on the platform. The Compton Station is only one away and it's super decked out compared to Artesia. Their Metro tap platforms and metro kiosk don't exist at this station, which I've never seen before. I don't know if they did at one point, but it does mean you can board here without a cost, but should still have a validated physical or digital card (via the Tap app) on your person in case of inspection - you can purchase and reload cards in the app or at local convenience places such as 7-Eleven and CVS to name a few. Some connecting services run more frequently than others so I'd recommend mapping your trip out in advance or having apps handy. Security was around and available as well as keeping an open watch. There was a man on the tracks at one point which they kindly asked him to relocate as this is a crime and he could go to jail as well as be injured... He decided to flip them off and go about his way O.o, and they're just trying to do their job and keep him and others safe. Welcome to Artesia Station. One thing I did appreciate about this station aside from security and the friendly bus drivers and seating in places I didn't expect were the art piece and messages from children displayed throughout the pillars of the platform. Very heartfelt. Very mindful. #LoveForArtandHeartinCompton

Haven't had any problems yet, and I didn't hear a lot of complaints from passengers I swooped up. Hollywood Bowl aficionados, listen to me! If you're going to see a show at the bowl, DO NOT DRIVE…read moreYOURSELF THERE. Driving up yourself is a rookie move. Let me explain: you see, the Hollywood Bowl lots are all stacked parking, meaning you'll be trapped in your spot until all the cars in front of you leave. So if you happen to need to leave right away, you can't until the cars blocking you move. The last time we drove ourselves in and parked, we had to wait almost an hour before we finally were able to extricate our car from the lot. So do yourself a favor and take one of the convenient Park and Ride shuttle buses! You can buy advance tickets via Ticketmaster (recommended as it's a few dollars cheaper if you do this) or buy them the day of at the Park and Ride. But if you choose to wait, if it's a popular show, you might not be guaranteed to get on one of the buses. I believe tix are $7 each online, and $10 at the bus (but don't quote me!). They have quite a few choices as buses leave out of Westwood, Torrance, Chatsworth, Ventura, The LA Zoo, Lakewood, and Pasadena. We usually leave from the Lakewood lot which is located inside the parking lot of the Lakewood Mall behind the Forever 21. I'd recommend you opt for one of the earlier shuttles, just in case. I used the shuttle for a Killers concert many years back and our driver actually got lost and we ended up arriving as the opening act finished. I was none too happy that I missed The Psychedlic Furs' set. So the earlier shuttles are better IMHO in case anything happens on your shuttle ride. The total ride is usually about 40 mins. If your show happens to be on a weekday in rush hour, expect longer transit times. Once your Hollywood Bowl show is over, you should make your way back down to the shuttle loading area (walk all the way down the hill and into the under-street tunnel. Take the first exit up to the right and you'll pop up to catch the Lakewood line. They tell you when you arrive which Shuttle number you should return to, but if you forget - don't worry, they have lots of friendly shuttle employees who will gladly help you. It's cost-effective, fast, and super convenient. This is the only way we ever travel to the bowl. Thanks, HB shuttle!
