Great food and excellent service!! Hostesses welcomed us when we walked in. Server was super friendly and attentive. She gave our 1 year old a balloon that kept him entertained. She also brought out cookies for him when our dessert game out. The manager also stopped by to check on us. Seems like the staff really works well as a team. Def will go back! read more

Yuck! The beef tacos were too salty to eat. The chile relleno had cheddar cheese. And the service was horrible. There were 4 of us & 1 person didn't get their meal until the other 3 were almost done. The absolute worst Mexican food I have ever tired to eat! The beef tasted old, the beans were cold, the rice was cold. The waitress only wanted to swap it out for the chicken. Terrible evening. Food items were tasteless, over cooked, etc. Cheese dip so thin it would not even stick to the tortilla. Server came by frequently but never followed thru with any of our requests for napkins, lemons, etc. When we complained to manager about the food, he simply said "never had a complaint before" further making us feel in the wrong. Okay, I reviewed this place negatively before and didn't go back, though the wife loves the place for whatever reason, and I decided to give it another go. Luck was not on Frontera's side again this time but IT WASN'T THEIR FAULT. A gaggle of inconsiderate nincompoops let their unruly and extremely loud (4 or 5 year old?) children run wild in the place and they were doing that screeching, coaches' whistle yell only a young child can do. The other patrons often had their forks midway between the table and their mouths with a "should I do something?" look on their faces, my wife insisting she was going to do something if nobody else did. The staff were clearly annoyed and put in an uncompromising position. Finally they all left and the staff apologized to all the patrons individually. The food was really enjoyable. The music was just a cat-whisker too loud but that never hurt anyone. I'm going to try it again and I'm sure I'll have a much more pleasant experience. Again, food and staff were great. read more

My co-workers and I visited this location for lunch and waited over 40 minutes to get cold soup. This was after we ask our waitresses what was going on with our order and she replied "I don't know, do you want me to check?" At which point we ask to speak with the manager and she said ok. We waited another 10 minutes and no manager!! Our waitresses never returned to the table and we were told by another employee the manager was on BREAK..... Unreal...... I was there about 2 weeks ago. I actually went both Saturday and Sunday a little after 2:30 pm. I was just appalled by the unprofessional-ism the assistant manager presented for the 2+ hours I was there enjoying a Patron Margarita. I would say from what I observed, the restaurant was a little busier than the other times I have been there. I like to sit at the bar booths every time. This time, the assistant manager was eating in the booth next to us for the 2 hours I was there while all the servers were running around with their heads cut off! She did not move or even flinch. Servers came up to her to ask for help a few times and she could have cared less. She went back to attend her phone. I might be Caucasian but I know Spanish and some of the comments she said were disrespectful. I could not work in such environment. I have been a LOYAL Frontera customer back before it was Frontera and LONG before this location existed--we're talkin' back when it was La Cazuela on 78 closer to Snellville. Anyway, I digress. We made reservations for a party of 19 on Sunday night at 530pm for twin 5 year old birthday. The service was LOUSY. We waited 47 minutes for our food, at which case the manager said we would be getting a "great discount." Then we got our food--mine was cold, and my chicken quesadilla (this girl doesn't eat beef) had beef in the middle of it, surrounded by chicken--yes. Then she handed our bills out with a 20% reduction--mind you, this was after 3 HOURS of sitting there and countless times asking for our bill. Parties all around us were seated, orders taken, food out and plates cleared MULTIPLE times over before we received our food. To top it off, employees parked out in the front of the lot in all the prime spaces--just a pet peeve of mine. We wound up ready to walk out--and the manager then comped our table. The frustrating part was that he's a horrible manager and needs some lessons in customer service. Needless to say, NONE OF US will ever be back there. Yuck. read more

I am dismayed by the negative comments on this particular location. I've been a customer here for years (8+) & still go here often. Jessica & Rodrigo are the managers that I've come to be acquainted with & I can't say enough good about their professionalism & pleasant demeanors towards not only the staff but their customers. Recently, I was there during a storm & the computers went down, they did an AMAZING job ensuring the customers' orders were handled efficiently & business went on as usual. I've witnessed customers being RUDE to each of these staff members & they handled it WELL & courteous! The food is always delicious, drinks are outstanding & you definitely get your money's worth. The live music is an added bonus. I would HIGHLY recommend this location! To the "Negative Nancy's" or dissatisfied customers who've written negative reviews/comments, perhaps it was YOU. We come to Stone Mountain once a year every year. We always stop here for great Mexican food. We have always been very happy until this time. We decided to have lunch after a festival and waited forever for a server to appear. Once she did we ordered margaritas and queso dip. The guy who brought out chips & salsa had no business being in the dining room. He did not speak a word of English and did not understand when we asked for the server. When we finally ordered our food it took a long time to come out. The server had disappeared and someone else brought our food out. We waited another 10 minutes to track down someone to find the server because they forgot my daughters food. I'm not sure if she failed to ring it in or what. She went to the back to find it and it was at least another 5 minutes before she brought it out. My daughter had a simple burrito with nothing but shredded chicken inside and covered in queso. It should have been a simple dish to make. Our food was cold by time my daughter got hers. My husband and I did the 2 for $20 which included the appetizer queso. After the server dropped off the burrito she left the check. She then disappeared and we never saw her again. A man came and ran out card so we could get Out of there. We were actually going to leave cash but I did not have enough to leave a tip so needed to use my card. I have no idea how our bill with a chicken burrito that was $6 and a 2 for $20 special plus 2 margaritas turned out to be almost $70 for lunch! The margaritas were decent but not that good! I'm a longtime customer of this specific Frontera location and have always enjoyed going out to eat there, however my experience on Cinco de Mayo was so horrendous that I will never be back, and neither will the rest of my party. I have to say that I was thoroughly unimpressed with the service regardless of the restaurant being busy. After waiting OVER AN HOUR from the time we sat down and ordered our drinks until we actually got them the waitresses were unresponsive and negligent of our table. Our waitress disappeared for thirty minutes after we had ordered our drinks and when we finally did get them after ordering twice with two different waitresses, our order was wrong and they conveyed inaccurate information to us, telling us that they were out of the drinks we ordered as the people at the two surrounding tables that had just sat down were being served the exact same thing. In the time it took our party of 5 to get our drinks, the table next to us who had sat down 10 minutes after us and had 9 people had already finished eating their food. Apart from that, our dinner and appetizers took much longer and again, when we did get our food one of our orders was wrong. After finishing our food we had to wait an additional hour just to get our checks and when we did receive them they had our full order on them after our waitress had told us before we got our food that our drinks would be taken off of our order. When she went to make the correction she sent a manager over to our table to talk to us who was incredibly rude and asked us "why we didn't want to pay for our drinks" as if we had done something wrong. After explaining what we had been dealing with from the beginning of the night she interrupted us very rudely and said she would fix our receipts and walked away with an attitude. Overall our experience was a disaster, as we spent over 3 hours at our table and didn't leave the restaurant until 11:45pm. The staff was neglectful and rude which is totally unacceptable. It wasn't that the restaurant was so busy for the holiday, we understood that before we willingly waited for an hour to be seated. It was the fact that the entire time we were at our table the staff was attentive to every single table around us and neglected our group. The food is changing and not in a good way. The chips aren't great not as fresh as they used to be the salsa had more water in it than usually. The steaks in our fajitas had an after taste of grease. So the next when we went we decided to try something different to see if maybe it was just the fajitas so We've had tried the tacos, chicken quesadilla and burritos to see if maybe they would be better but it wasn't at all. We have complained to the manager but he say they're trying new name brand product. We are very disappointed and no longer will be going to frontera period. In my opinion the food isn't worth the $ anymore. I would prefer to eat at frontera if they didn't change where they're getting their products from. But I guess that's not going to happen. read more

Since 1992 I have been going to Frontera on a weekly basis (usually Saturday) I have been in all of them and only a few I would recommend for service/food/variety. I have seen many changes during that time and when the Company stops caring about customers it's time to move on.My recent visit I had a $5.00 coupon off of $25.00 or more bill and since my bill came to 24.96 before taxes they would not honor the coupon.I voiced my comment and could not believe they would honor coupon. The manager was next to the server and he said nothing to me at all. I left in disgust mood and said that I will never be back. Indian trail location the next week I went to stone mtn location and bartender told me that Frontera no longer carries Budweiser and I said crap As I was getting ready to leave and go elsewhere the manager wanted to know why I was leaving and I told him that I will go where they serve Budweiser. While we were talking the manager had sent someone across the street to buy some Budweiser, I stayed and cranked the beer and then left. The manager went out of his way to keep a value customer happy and I like that but damaged as been done and I no longer will patronize Frontera again. If I change my mind (after I cool off) the only Frontera I will visit will be the Stone Mtn location and never visit the Indian trail location again even though it's 1 mile away. I love Frontera, I eat there often but tonight they did something so shady that I will not be going back. We got there around 8:40 pm, usually when I go, I will get their house Margarita pitcher. Me and my fiancé were trying to decide on what we wanted to drink that was also reasonably priced. One of the waitresses told us about a special for $6.99, she told us it was top shelf and I asked if it was strong, she told me yes. I asked her how big it was and she showed me the size with her hands, and I stressed the price asking her if it was $6.99, she told me yes, me and my fiancé both got one. So we do this thing before we get the check where we guess the amount of our check before we get it. We both guessed reasonable amounts, and we waited. When we got our check, the Check was over $60, the $6.99 drinks that the waitress told us about came out to $27, just for 2. We called her over to express our concern and she tried to justify what she did by telling us that she told us how much it cost. I couldn't believe it ESPECIALLY after I asked her about the price, more than once. I will NEVER spend damn near $14 dollars for 1 drink, I never have and I never will, I don't care what kind of liquor is in it! I asked to speak to a manager (it seemed like he had a few drinks himself by the way he was slurring his words) he tried to justify the waitresses actions as well. I'm not one to complain about money, but when it comes down to it, I like to get my money's worth when I pay for anything. We weren't trying to spend that much money on drinks, we were steering towards getting the small pitcher for $16.99 before she lied and told us about the top shelf "special" they had for $6.99. He wasn't trying to fix it, negotiate, nothing, eventually all he did was take $6 off of our bill and this was AFTER I explained what happened over and over and over again. She even lied and said my fiancé asked for top shelf liquor, HE BARELY DRINKS he wouldn't ask for top shelf anything! He left the choice of drink up to me. You don't do that to people! Our bill should have roughly been around $38-$40. What if we only had $45 to our names last night? That was extremely foul! I am never going back and I will be telling all my peers not to as well. I reached out to corporate and let them know the situation, especially when i suspected the manager may have had a little bit to drink as well. When people are returning customers to your establishment (even though this was our first experience at this location), you don't treat them that way PERIOD! read more
