Nick was amazing! I've been riding for years. I was hoping to gain some confidence and learn about some skills that I should be working on. I did! Nick gave just the right amount of advice so I could absorb what he was saying. Not too much so I was overwhelmed and not too little. This was definitely money well spent! read more

We had so much fun riding with Nick!! We live in Denver and have been wanting to get into mountain biking. I am very new and he was super patient with me and told me seemingly everything I needed to know. My boyfriend is more experienced than me and he had a blast too. Nick will cater to where you are whether thats beginner or expert. I would 100% agree with all the positive reviews on here. You won't regret booking a guided ride with Nick! Beautiful scenery, great time in nature, followed by post ride beers. Can't beat it. read more

I really can't recommend Nick highly enough - we had a flawless experience. He's a great communicator - figuring out logistics in advance was a breeze. The photographs he took, edited, and sent along after the ride came out great - he was ready for all the best angles. The bikes he provided were super well maintained, appropriate for our level, and a lot of fun to ride. His instruction was excellent - any pre-ride nerves were settled during his safety briefing, and throughout the ride he gave coaching and motivation when needed, and adjusted the ride to suit our ability and appetites. The ice cold drinks at the end of ride were a very nice touch, and his recommendations for post-ride lunch were delicious. We're excited to ride again next time we're in CO! read more

I booked FRRG for a corporate event and the crew loved it! The trail was perfect for the various levels of experience we had in our group and Nick was a great guide! He's patient, clear, and a great communicator. He wants everyone to have a great ride, and we did just that! The team already wants to book another ride. We will definitely use this company in the future! read more

A friend and I booked a half-day ride, and the whole experience was fantastic! We were both beginners, so Nick tailored everything to our experience and comfort level. The bikes were very well-maintained and the location was great. Nick took photos during the ride and provided snacks/water, and even a couple beers when we got back to the vehicles. The afternoon was a lot of fun, and I'd recommend Front Range Ride Guides to anyone. read more

Couldn't have been happier with our experience MTB with Front Range Ride Guides! Nick was both professional and encouraging as we are two city slickers who think we're athletic enough, but were humbled by the little hill he took us on! The equipment was top notch (bike, helmet, small bags w/ water) and his instructions were on-point. He spent 20 minutes with us early to talk about the various rules and courtesies that MTBers have to adhere to, made sure we knew how to operate the high level bikes, and then we were off! When booking, he even told us straight to not book a full day because he knew that a half day would be enough. We appreciate him not only telling us the truth, but also appreciate saving a few $. Thanks Nick! We had a blast! read more

First ride in Boulder and first time using a MTB ride guide. It was a great and amazing experience. Nick chose a trail appropriate for my skill level. For reference, I've been MTB for 14 years riding XC-intermediate to advanced in DFW area. The MTb bike he provided was in excellent shape. He even switched the pedals to my own SPD pedals. Provided water and sunblock. I would go with him again if I come back to Boulder area. read more

I've been taking mountain biking seriously for less than a year but my technical progress and confidence had stalled out quick. I realized I needed to get immediate, personalized feedback; countless hours of videos and books cannot watch me to see if I'm following along correctly. The day with Nick was one of the most incredible, fulfilling experiences I have had on the bike. I learned more and gained more confidence in one day with Nick than the rest of my time biking. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had (even outside of mountain biking!). He was thoughtful, encouraging, and extremely good at explaining and reinforcing concepts. One of the best riding days of my life; he already feels like an old friend. I hear Nick in my head every time I ride now, and my riding has improved immensely. I will definitely be reaching out to Nick again when I need that next jump in skills or just to reinforce existing skills and ride some sweet trails with an amazing riding buddy! read more

Specifically chose this company because of the great reviews and we agree completely with them. Wife and I are in late fifties/early sixties and are beginning to intermediate MTB riders. Nick spent couple of minutes going over the high-end bikes he brought and then we were off. He adjusted the route we took based on our riding abilities and our fitness. Incredible scenery, great trails with hills and descents, and plenty of breaks as needed. Absolutely the best. Nick is owner and guide - great conversationalist and moral supporter! We could not have asked for a better outing! read more

Nick was amazing. He earns all of these 5 star reviews. He took us out on top of the line equipment, teaches very well, and caters to all skill levels. He babysat me in the back of the pack and made it fun the whole time (even with my wheezing.... separate issue). Give this company a go. You wont be disappointed! read more

The FRRG experience is hands down 5 stars! Our guide prepped well for our ride - they asked the right questions up front to understand what type of experience we were able to handle and looking for overall, then fully delivered! The bikes were awesome - a complete setup tuned for the trails we rode. In addition to knowing about the trails (rules, etiquette, etc.), he was knowledgeable about the area in general and it was great learning more about how people enjoy the sport in the mountains (which I found interesting since I hadn't ever biked in the mountains!). We were provided with plenty of water and snacks, and a crispy malted treat at the end which was a great way to end the day. If you need someone to guide your biking in the front range, do yourself a favor and book with FRRG! read more

I rode with Nick a couple weeks ago, and it was a fantastic experience. I was on a vacation in Denver and drove up to Ft. Collins to meet Nick, and it was totally worth the drive. He is super-communicative over email and gets a lot of details in advance to prepare for the ride. I am a strong intermediate rider and was looking for a fun challenge, and he took me on an awesome set of trails outside Ft. Collins. We rode a great mix of flowy, chunky, and technical trails, including a BIG climb and an amazing payoff; my only regret is not sessioning some of the more interesting stuff on the awesome downhill. It helped that Nick also put me on a really nice full-suspension bike. And then, fun bonus, he took and then emailed a bunch of really great pictures. I try to ride with a guide whenever I'm riding someplace new, different, and challenging, and I can say from comparative experience that FRRG is absolutely one of the best our there. Nick pushed me to challenge myself, and I came away with a big confidence boost. read more

My son had a great experience mountain biking with FRRG! Nick provided an awesome bike, great company and trails that were perfect for his skill level. Communication was excellent from our initial inquiry all the way through the post-ride photos we received. We hope to be able to ride with Nick again and would highly recommend. read more

I'm so glad I booked with Front Range Ride Guides and not with one of the other companies. This will be the best thing you do out in Colorado! Since I was traveling alone, I had a lot of questions leading up to my trip. Nick was quick to respond and answered all of my questions, which put me at total ease. The ride was OUT OF THIS WORLD! So much fun! Nick is an amazing tour guide...he knew exactly which trail to take me on based on my ability level and came prepared with everything we needed for the 1/2 day. Looking back, I would've scheduled the full day, but I'll have to wait until next time. Not only does Nick show you the best views around, but he's an amazing photographer too! These guys are legit!! Such a blast! Nick is the absolute mountain biking master and he was a joy to ride with.

Front Range Ride Guides, and our guide, Nick, offered the best introduction to mountain biking in Fort Collins. Nick offered valuable tips as well as a challenging workout. He loved it and wants to ride again. Nick highlighted the sights and showed us the vast beauty of Horsetooth. Highly recommend Front Range Ride Guides and Nick!! read more

I went on a morning solo trail ride with Nick. First, leading up to it, he was more than happy to give me recommendations for things to do in the Fort Collins area since it was my first time visiting. Day of, he explained the ins and outs of handling the bike and made sure I had snacks and extra water. Don't get me wrong, it was physically demanding, but Nick was patient and doesn't expect you to push yourself past what you're able to handle. He made stops when asked, whether for water or pictures or just taking in the scenery, and he even took pics of his own which is an awesome way to remember the ride. He's super easy going and overall is fun to be around. I would highly recommend booking with him. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience for me, and I'll never forget it. read more

Nick took my buddy and I on a half day ride last month. Both of us are Novice middle aged riders who flew into town for this. We had intended to do 2 full day multiday trips but Nick convinced us to do 2 half day trips instead out of concern for our keisters' ability to handle a bike seat after so many hours. We are so glad we listened to him. He provided us each with a backpack, 2 water bottles, helmet, and a high quality, locally made full suspension bike. Had a great time! The trails were definitely challenging and at the upper limit of our ability, which is exactly what we wanted. Throughout the ride he was friendly, informative, and encouraging. Kept us going at a great pace and I never felt judged when I needed the occasional rest. Would highly recommend! read more

Nick is an amazing guide! It was our first-time mountain biking, and he did an excellent job working with us to schedule an appropriate trail and duration of the trip as well as assessing our abilities when we first got to the trail. Mountain biking with Nick was the most exhilarating experience either of us has ever done but Nick made us feel safe and confident the entire time that we could handle everything. Knowing that Nick also trains more experienced riders than us made us feel extremely confident that he knows what he's talking about and was able to provide instruction that even we could follow. On top of Nick's planning and mountain biking expertise, he was also just a great person to spend the morning with. It was our first time in Colorado, and he made sure to make suggestions for us to check out along the rest of our trip which was greatly appreciated. Nick is an incredible guide, and this was an amazing experience, and we will absolutely be bike to see him again. read more

Front Range Ride Guides seriously rules. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure - book now. With a mere two days to plan my trip to Denver (google packupgo if you love surprises), I wasn't sure where I would end up. I love mountain biking and I'd heard of a relatively new sport called fat tire biking. A quick on-line search led me to Nick at Front Range. With very little notice, he was able to schedule a private afternoon excursion! I wasn't expecting snow and arrived in Denver thoroughly underprepared. Nick replied to my e-mail promptly and assured me he had plenty of snow gear. Ten minutes early, Nick picked me up from my hotel and we were off. The drive into the mountains flew by with our easy rapport and within no time we were at the trail head. After a quick lesson on fat bike nuances and a few wardrobe additions we were off to the races! If races meant trying to see how slow we could ride without cow-tipping. I had NO idea how a heavier bike, nobbies, and 4 inches of snow could affect my speed (or lack there-of). But what we lacked in speed, we made up for in amazing scenery and what turned out to be fantastic weather. We chatted easily through the incredible forest, stopping occasionally to take pics, grab a drink, or let people pass. Only later did I realize Nick was taking pictures WHILE riding! A master multitasker indeed. It was a great workout on the way up but never steep, just a gradual climb. Nothing technical at all meaning I could focus on the important things like nature. The flowy downhill on the way back had me grinning from ear to ear. Nick made my day, and this fat bike adventure was the highlight of my trip. read more

Nick was a great teacher for our 4 hour class. There were three of us. He taught us techniques immediately applicable to our riding as intermediates. We then practiced on switchbacks near by and gained confidence in our ability. We have since been on rides and got over new rocks and down switchbacks that weren't attainable prior to the class. We all strongly recommend FRRG. read more

You're planning trip to Boulder and want a little adventure? Definitely check out Front Range. Your a little uncertain on bike? Still, no problem because Nick is an excellent instructor and has a keen eye for how his clients are doing. He and I had a beautiful ride up a canyon a little south of town. Super convenient too, he picked me up at hotel. Being an east coast rider, I had to take it easy and Nick accommodated. We had a fabulous 3 hour ride and finished with a brew. Also, Nick is a great guy to talk through things of the world read more

We had an absolutely amazing time on this mountain bike excursion. I'm a pretty novice rider while my friend is quite proficient. They were able to find a trail that made us both comfortable, but also challenging within our individual skill sets. I was never uncomfortable at any point of the ride. They were able to be flexible with our vacation schedule along with our location preferences. I didn't know how it would work since we didn't bring any gear with us, but Front Range Ride Guides provided everything we needed including lots of water. Everything was clean and well taken care of. I felt very comfortable. The ride itself was extremely enjoyable. We took ample breaks when necessary. Had a lot of great conversation with our guide. We even had a chance to ask questions about biking, equipment, trails, etc etc etc. Not to mention the beautiful scenery. So it was a win on multiple levels. I would highly encourage you to use Front Range Ride Guides on your next trip or even if you're local and trying to learn some new terrain/info or just want to do something different. read more

I booked a 4 hour mountain bike skills clinic online less than 24 hours in advance. Since it was such short notice, I assumed I would have to call to confirm the reservation, but I was wrong! Nick emailed me within a few moments and we got through all the details. I am a beginner on a mountain bike and was fairly terrified of it. Nick is so thorough! He covered bike basics then we worked on skills. His communication and teaching method is awesome. When we were working on a skill, he could tell I was getting frustrated by having zero success, he changed things up, explained in another way, demonstrated again, and bam, success! I then had a chance to apply these learnings in real life. Nick gave advice as we rode along. And while I chickened out on a couple of spots, he was so supportive and I never felt guilty for not attempting something. I left the day feeling so much more confident and looking forward to the next opportunity to be on a trail. It has been less than a day since my class and I have already recommended Nick to all of my friends. I wish I would have taken this class the instant I moved to Colorado, but now I know and I'll be back! read more
