We drive up from Houston to Longview a few times a year and have passed by this place. Today, we stopped and so glad we did! Great drinks and conversation with the owners. So glad we stopped and now we'll probably stop every time!

This used to be a great place several year ago. The service was good and they wanted to talk about their distilling process and everything they made. This time, the lady working the bar acted like it was an inconvenience that we came in and interrupted her day. Barely spoke to us the entire time we were there. What I tasted was good, but the Bloody Mary they made me was a little sweet for my liking. There is a for sale sign out front so maybe they are done and just phoning it in. Probably would not be back until there is a new owner. read more

Really nice place, although distillery tours are only offered on Saturday. Lady in the tasting room wasn't real interested, just wanted to give you a sample, pour you a drink, and get back to whatever she was doing. Did buy a couple of things and the spirits we tasted were quite good. Appears to be for sale so we will see...... read more

This is one of my favorite places in Texas. Taylor and the staff are absolutely wonderful! They seriously go out of their way to keep the guest who visit happy, and smiling. Our daughter lives close by and she brought us there a few months back when we were visiting from California. When we were back last week, they had made such a great impression the first time that we had to return again. They did not disappoint. Being a small business owner myself, you really appreciate a business run by family, that enjoy what they do. Thank you Front Porch Distillery. We will be back! read more

This place is opened about 18 months a go and has a lot of whiskey options and mixtures. They have outside seats a.nd fire pits and can warm when it is not windy. The staffs are super nice. read more

Brewery #406 I…read morestopped into Fredonia about 2 weeks ago when I was passing through town. It was around 1pm on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. Their large outdoor seating area had over half the tables filled and there was a line at the bar. Anywho, I ordered my usual flight and got a Bock, a Kolsch and 2 IPA's. The beers were all solid but nothing that wow'd me per se. If I had to pick I'd say the Hop-a-Doches (hazy IPA) was my favorite of the group. The best part is that the flight of 4 beers was only 9.00. A steal! I wasn't hungry but there was a shed that served pizza in the courtyard. They had a baked potato pizza as the special that day and it was weird enough that I almost ordered one despite being full. There was also a food truck serving Mediterranean food but that may have been a rotating thing. The people were very nice, the place was cool and the beer was cheap.
