Saag paneer
Joshlyn W.

Even though she's been around for years now I'd never gotten the opportunity to try her food, but I caught her one day downtown and she offered me any sample I'd like so I tried the saag paneer and liked it but was worried the $10 portion would be too much for me so she mentioned she does 1/2 orders which was perfect! It was so rich & delicious! I loved it! I can't wait to try other dishes of hers, I'm sure they're all phenomenal!

Absolutely delicious food. She started coming to Tyler and everything we tried was really good. My favorite is the spicy butter chicken.

This was an impulse stop, and I'm glad I'm impulsive! The curry chicken is BUSINESS! The service is excellent.

Top-tier Indian food in East TX served quickly. I'd put it up against most places in Houston. I'll be back the next time I'm up!

Delicious home cooked style Indian food. My favorite is the green curry chicken with rice and naan. Fast and kind service as well.

Lets start with the interior which also includes an outdoor dinning space. Its got pretty cool styling that is still simple and doesnt go over the top. Id say its just enough to be a nice restaraunt. Its also clean, but not too clean and neat. A very comfy vibe for the average dining experience. Maybe not so much for a fancy date night. Now for the food. Or maybe the menu. Its got just enough options to make the average customer happy. Some place may offer more option and even more exotic options, but this place has the basics and a few more. The curry dishes come in mild medium or spicy. Some places give you 5 different stars, and some don't even give an option, but this place has just enough spice options. Lets not forget about the portions. They give you a small serving of rice so be ready to order several orders of it. Like 2 or 3 extra per dish. Last the service. My experience with the service was also just enough. They were there when I needed them. Pretty standard service. Overall I feel like I got my monies worth and would recommend this place to others. Not for anything fancy, but for your every day average lunch or dinner. Family will appreciate this place.

And in this location I'm not sure if they have a working air conditioner. It's always warm. Usually I have the buffet and it's always delicious but on one occasion I decided to sit down and order from the menu. The portions are pretty large and the two of us had to box up some leftovers. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala. Oh my goodness was it so good. I also got some Naan. (Sold separately) and a breaded chicken appetizer. They never presented a guest check so I couldn't take a picture of it. I do this to remember the names of the items I ordered. And remind me of the cost. Subsequently- I don't remember either . So enjoy my pictures- and rest assured I will be back.

I didn't take notes on the names of every dish before I left, but everything was spectacular. I have never had a full setting of Indian food before. Lots of spice, flavor and different textures. I think the vegetarian option was the surefire standout of my visit. The mango lassi was also delicious and refreshing for $4.50. Service was extremely attentive and friendly. Seems like a hole in the wall place by just viewing the outside of the establishment, but everything is clean and comfortable on the inside. I will be back!

We stopped by Indigo Indian Bistro in Shreveport to try their $16 lunch buffet…read more When we walked in, it was quiet -- just one table seated before us and another as we were finishing up. The restaurant looked clean, and the owner was welcoming and inviting right away. Customer service was solid from the start. Naan bread was brought to the table and our water glasses stayed filled throughout the meal -- which we always appreciate. The buffet itself had a good variety, but most of the protein options were chicken. If you're a goat fan like us, you might be slightly disappointed. Only one goat option was available -- the goat chili. We would've liked to see more variety beyond chicken-heavy dishes. Flavor-wise, the food was good overall. Nothing tasted bad. However, the biggest downside was the sauce consistency. The curry sauces were very thin -- almost watery. We're used to richer, thicker sauces that really cling to the meat and rice. Every sauce-based dish had that thinner consistency, which took away from the overall depth and texture. Atmosphere-wise, it was calm and relaxed. Clean dining area, comfortable environment, and a nice change of pace from the usual Shreveport options. One thing to note: No military discount offered. Overall -- we're glad this spot exists. It adds cultural variety to the Shreveport food scene and offers something different for your palate. Is it the best Indian food we've ever had? No. Is it horrible? Also no. It's solid, enjoyable, and worth trying -- just manage expectations on sauce thickness and protein variety. That's why we're giving it .

Walk in the nice gentleman directed us to a table and walked away. No menu, no nothing. So go to the buffet and try all the things. Indian is mostly chicken and lamb, so if you're not adventurous with meat and texture, no worries here. Just be open to flavor! There were curries, marsalas, meatball, chili and rice. Brought fresh naan (bread) to the table and we tried each dish the buffet had to offer. Everything was good. I will go back. Just understand what you're getting into before you go, if not, that experience can be very daunting.
