Saturday June 13th, party of 2. 7:20pm There was no wait and we were offered a table immediately. But the table was in an isle putting Simma underfoot. So we moved to the bar. I don't know who our server was. But I think the 2 bartenders were both part of our dining experience. We both got a ML beer ($4.75 ea) and the artichoke dip. ($15) The drinks arrived at 7:32. The appetizer at 7:46. The spinach dip is so delicious. Almost addictive. I could have gotten full before the crab cakes w/ shrimp Alfredo ($23) was dropped off at 7:49. The pasta was absolutely perfect. The shrimp tender. Crab cakes had plenty of flavor. We shared everything. And really tried to finish it. We ended up having to get a go box. The total was presented on an electronic device that did not include our servers name. $52 for 2. At 8:07 The overall experience was very enjoyable. Dining room was clean. As were the restrooms.

Unfortunately, the way we were treated left us disappointed and certain we won't be returning. When we first arrived, our table wasn't ready, so some of us went to the bar to order drinks while we waited. Shortly afterward, our table became available, and we were seated. When our server came to take drink orders, some of us already had drinks from the bar. Instead of simply explaining the restaurant's policy, a manager came to our table with an unnecessary attitude and told us we couldn't go to the bar once we were seated. We understood the policy and had no issue following it, but there had clearly been a misunderstanding--we hadn't gotten up from the table after being seated to order more drinks. As business owners in the service industry ourselves, we understand the importance of policies and consistency. We weren't upset about the rule; we were disappointed by the way it was communicated. Respect and professionalism go a long way, especially when a simple conversation could have cleared everything up. The most upsetting part happened as we were leaving. My great-aunt asked for a to-go cup for her mocktail. As we poured the drink into the cup, another manager in a suit approached us and told us we couldn't take the drink because he assumed it contained alcohol. I immediately explained that it was a mocktail, but instead of acknowledging what I had said, he simply continued explaining why he approached us and why he believed it could have been an alcoholic beverage. While I understand the reasoning behind verifying that alcohol isn't leaving the restaurant, completely dismissing what I had just told him made the interaction feel unnecessarily disrespectful. After the emotional day our family had just experienced, this level of disrespect was completely unnecessary. We came in looking for a peaceful meal together and instead left feeling judged and poorly treated. We won't be returning, and I hope management takes a hard look at how they communicate with guests. Policies are understandable--disrespect is not.

The builder included underground tubing for your cable to connect to each house. My house was connected in a few days but took 2 trips by different installers. My neighbor took 2 months because the installer said he would have to hire an electrician to run cable through tube. This was not true since the neighbor used a ball of string, piece of plastic and a vacuum to suck string through. Then your installer pulled the cable through. But to get to the problem. The connector at the top of the pole only allows two connections. The installer \said he would put a work order in to get this replaced. To connect he cut my connection at the base and put a splitter in temporarily. It was to be fixed when the connector up top would be replaced with a larger connector. That was over a month ago. Nothing has happened. I called their office and the male just wanted to go through a routine to check my modem. He would not listen to my need. I have experienced some slow down. I want to plant grass but can't because of the mess left in my yard. Splitters degrade the connection. I am sharing a service with the neighbor but both are paying full price. Please setup someone to come fix this! I can't keep calling and reaching someone that won't listen or isn't capable of understanding the problem. Seems like they are just not autonomous but programmed robots.

Longview is the world capital of chain restaurants, but that's not always a bad thing. I came here…read morewhile in town for a funeral because I knew I could count on a really good fish sandwich ... except corporate decided to remove it from the menu. Oh well. The atmosphere here is quasi-dark, in a Texas Roadhouse/Red Lobster sort of way, and the seating is comfy. Bathrooms are also clean. Service here on my handful of visits has been spectacular. All of that speaks to excellent management at this location. Though I think that pickles should be served cold and from a jar, the other people in my party insisted on the fried version here. They loved them. The fried mozzarella ('crooked fried cheese') was average. While there was nothing wrong with it, there was also nothing spectacular about it. The fish and chips, on the other hand, were pretty damn good -- crispy and hot with a nice thick fillet. If only they could've served it between two slices of toasted bread. Anyway, the fries were also nice and crispy, and the slaw was crunchy, cool and creamy. Someone else in my party ordered the mushroom burger, and they were quite pleased. Honestly, it looked divine. The draft beer menu here consists of major brews with nary an IPA, though there are some macro bottled selections. Still, everything was served quickly and cold. It's rare that I eat at chains, unless I'm on the road and need to swing through a drive-thru. This place, however, does a very good job.
