We were able to get our deck demolished, a stamped concrete patio, and a fire pit and sitting wall all for good value. I'm satisfied with the way everything turned out. I'm glad that they used dirt to level the patio with the grass surrounding it. My only complaint is that once they began construction, it took 17 days to complete the entire project. I wasn't expecting it to take as long as it did, but they were working on other jobs at the same time. It wasn't a super big issue for us, but some communication about the timeline could have helped. The company took care of the permit process for us. They seem skilled in their work. I'm happy our patio turned out the way we wanted it to.

They (Naperville Fireplace) said the tuckpointing looks good but what I need is a liner for the inside of the flue coming from my furnace and water heater (they are the third people to tell me that). When I asked if they thought the previous leaks in my basement were due to any type of mortar failure on the outside (I already had the bottom of the mortar fixed by ANT Masonry for a minimal cost), they said no--it's probably because you have some failure inside the flue for the furnace and that dampness is coming into the basement. Interesting. I've actually had no dampness in basement since the bottom of the mortar was repaired and the lower brick was tuckpointed. So, on to the chimney liner.....
