The history of the place was fascinating and it was really great to actually watch the production floor putting out all of the delicious cheese. Of course, the highlight for our 4 year old daughter was the ice cream shop. Their service was super quick for food and ice cream. I wish we could have brought more back with us.

Fromagerie Mirabel has less selection compared to other specialty cheese stores I've found in the Montreal area, such as "Fromagerie des nations". To be honest, even some of the nicer IGA or Provigo supermarkets carry a wider selection of cheeses. Go if you want fresh St-Albert's cheese, otherwise this shop might be disappointing, especially if you drove out of the way to visit.

I've never seen fondue split like that. There was an inch or so of runny milk on top and a gluey blob of cheese in the middle no matter how much we stirred. It was a shame because the flavor was pretty good but the texture gave me the ick. And the quality to price ratio was outrageous.
