The lady that works there doesn't speak very good English, which is common shopping in the wholesale industry, but she was very helpful and friendly. We shop through all the handbag wholesale stores, this place offers the best deal and best customer service. Delivery is available within the city. We love the selection of the bags and the quality. The store is organized and clean. Highly recommend if you are a boutique shop owner or buying gifts in bulk.

I have only ever left one other review in my life (a positive one) so this has to tell you how bad…read morethis is. I could not be more disappointed with my Jovani experience. First I was sent the wrong size, on the top that the dress quite literally felt like it was made of a cheap plastic bag - for $400 I am appalled at the fabric being used if you can even call it that. I now have nothing to wear to my debutant and am so saddened by the horrible quality of this dress.

My Jovani gowns are some of the prettiest gowns I own. I actually own so many from this company…read more I first came across the company purely by accident about 18 months ago. I saw it on instagram. And I fell in love immediately. I was so fortunate to try on a few of their couture gowns in their showroom in NYC, and yes, now I own two of their couture gowns. I have performed on stage in both of those gowns and I have been professionally photographed in three of their gowns! You cannot go wrong with a Jovani gown. On top of their long gowns, I also own three of their cocktail dresses. One of which is so much my favorite that I literally look for occasions to wear it and when I do, people are constantly asking me where I got it. I could add a photo album of fabulous pics of me in fabulous Jovani gowns. Here is my suggestion, find a store that you love and trust and let a great store owner walk you through the world that is Jovani. You will be so glad you did! I personally shop at Infusion Boutique in Rhode Island for my Jovani apparel and sometimes we meet in the NYC showroom when I am looking for something above and beyond. The experience has been exceptional!

I'm always a pissant when it comes to sample sales because 1) everything's claustrophobic and…read moredisorganized, and 2) I never think the prices are as low as they could be. Yes, that Alexander McQueen jacket is half off but I'm still not going to be able to afford it at $300, no matter how I try to talk myself into thinking that $300 for a jacket is TOTALLY reasonable and this is a long-term investment and no more Forever 21 shit that falls apart the second time I put an arm in it. Plus if I wanted to elbow and be elbowed for one tiny piece of ground to stand on, I'd just stand in the middle of the 6 train at rush hour. But $29 for Free People dresses?! And right smack in the middle of Chelsea market, next to a bakery and some wine store, otherwise known as The Most Beautiful Place on Earth? Yes ma'am! Some miscellaneous rambles: 1. I like having a general idea of what I want to buy before heading over but then whenever I see a beautifully crafted grey t-shirt that I have a million of already, my mind goes out the window. I went today with the intention of buying a distressed denim jacket and ONLY a distressed denim jacket. And then I came out with a dress. 2. The communal dressing room is kind of hilarious once you get over whipping off your clothes in front of a crowd of strangers and realize that seriously no one is paying attention to your cellulite. Except for the seventeen-year-old Russian model preening in the corner. She's totally snickering. The people-watching is fantastic, from the European tourists striking a pose in Eva Franco jungle print dresses to the harried mom carrying armloads of clothes for her sulky daughter to loudly reject over and over again. I will say that the dressing room here is much, MUCH better than the one in 260 Fifth Avenue, where it's basically a section of the room, not cordoned or roped off, where you take off your shirt and realize that the sleazy old guy to your left is batting bedroom eyes at you and the girl on your right is butt naked. 3. The selection was still good, despite being the fourth day of the sale. Not sure how much restocking they do but the Free People stands were looking a tad barren (thanks no doubt to the $30 and under clothing) and the jeggings were untouched.

I don't have a great sense of Prive's schedule, but I've stumbled onto two of its sample sales…read morewhile vacationing in New York, once in 2010 and once last month. Both times, I walked away with some stellar finds, and I hope to come across it again. The sales are held in a big open space in Chelsea Market, with racks and racks of clothing labeled by designer. The selection was great on both of my visits. I left the first sale with two pairs of J Brand jean leggings for $75 each, and two formal dresses that I wore to school dances (it was my graduation year) (from law school, not high school, honestly), both heavily discounted. Last month I picked up a few items by Walter and Torn by Ronny Kobo, and an $8 Free People bra at the register. I know Torn in particular is a really expensive label, and I was pleased with the skirt and top I got for $35 apiece. I wore them to an event when I landed in L.A. two days later. Prive sets up a communal fitting room designated by a big cloth curtain. If you don't mind undressing in front of strangers and maneuvering for mirror time, it's not bad at all. The staff is constantly busy putting rejected clothes back in circ. For the number of people and the amount of merchandise in motion, the sale doesn't feel chaotic at all. I'm in New York on a fairly regular basis, and I will be sure to peep into the Prive space any time I'm in Chelsea Market. It's a great place to do some shopping, with good enough bargains to warrant spending on a whim.

2.5 stars Walked by…read morein Soho and noticed the large sign stating everything is $7! That drew in my friend and I. We liked a few items, but it seems like the shop is tailored for certain size women (on the slimmer side). Lots of crop tops and summer wear items and dresses. There was a downstairs, but a sign states can't bring any items down from the main floor- so how can we check it out while holding other items? The register isn't going to hold the items. There was also a sign that states can't try on anything for sizing as the majority of the clothes had tags removed. Just had the name brand, and some had wash instruction tags, but the majority had nothing. It was hard to tell sizing with the majority of the clothes as they were just small and tight (for super model sizes). P.S. all signs are handwritten on poster papers. Overall cute items but looks like a thrift shop with limited size options and is not allowed to try on to see if it fits. No refund if items don't fit. Be careful of purchases!

Stumbled upon this shop in Soho, New York, while I was visiting the city! It's a shop where most…read moreitems are $8 or $12. There are two floors, and it looks like most of the items are surplus from stores. For example, there was a 25$ jumpsuit that was discounted to 8$ at the shop. You can find items suitable for dressy occasions or casual wear. There are multiple duplicates of the same items with different sizes, but it's not guaranteed! It also doesn't seem to be that organized in terms of style. The entrance floor tends to have more of the classier/higher quality items, in my opinion. The bottom floor has more casual/lounge wear. This store is close to Muji, a Japanese clothing + more, and TJ Max.
