I also did not want to eat at my hotel and this was close enough to walk over to. The place itself is gorgeous inside and split into two rooms. White table cloths well dressed waiters and lots of them. Extensive menu with pasta, pizza, salads, meat and fish and also their kitchen specials. You are bound to find something here. I settled on a tomato soup and a pizza piccannte. The soup was rich, creamy, simple and delicious. The pizza was to die for. I did not have to add a speck or chili once it arrived at my table. It was spicy, delicious and the crust was yummy. I loved it and one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Service is super friendly and the owner was also very engaging. There is a counter for ordering eat-in or take-away. The menu is in German, but there is also a menu in English for us..."non-fluent in Germen language folks". In this way, the ordering line can move faster because the staff do not need to spend a lot of time translating the menu to patrons. There is a separate counter for ordering delicious-looking desserts. There is seating on the street level and upstairs in another dining area. Once you order the food, you take a seat at a table (depending upon the time of day, it might be difficult to find a seat) and your food is brought to you. My positive experience was further augmented by my wonderful companions and the delectable food.
