We made a reservation at Ristorante La Pasta while we were visiting in town, and it ended up being…read moresuch a great choice. When we arrived, they surprised us with the cutest little cozy nook at the front of the restaurant. We had a great view of the scenery outside and could watch people walk by, which made the whole experience feel really special. We were greeted right away and had our drink orders taken. There was a small mix-up where my boyfriend ordered one espresso martini and two came out, but it honestly wasn't a big deal at all. We started with the beef carpaccio, which was absolutely delicious. For our main dishes, my boyfriend ordered the truffle pasta and I ordered the bolognese. Everything was amazing. The bolognese was rich and comforting, and you could really taste how fresh the tomatoes and sauce were. But the truffle pasta was hands down the star of the night. It was SO good that I immediately wished I had ordered it myself. Perfect flavor, great portion, just overall incredible. The staff also checked in on us throughout the meal and made sure we were enjoying everything. We ate so much that we didn't even have room for dessert, even though the menu had some tempting options. This is honestly some of the best pasta I've ever had. If they had a location near me at home, I would be there all the time without question. Highly recommend.

I was not disappointed, as the staff seemed helpful and the food was great. The service is what I remember the most in that they were very hospitable. Give them a try and enjoy!!! I would go back if I'm ever back in Zurich.

The theme of the event was USA meets Italy to offer food from both countries. Not just something new for Andulino's Chef Reto but also for the guests at the drool table, who were privileged to try his new cooking style. We were joined by Reto later this evening where he not just asked how the food was but also told us his motivation and story behind it. I liked this, it adds a very personal touch to the experience. Since Reto never prepared buffalo chicken before I was even more excited to taste his new creation. I was surprised it tasted great and you could still note a hint of Reto signature sweetness in the mix . Besides the nice and crunchy marinade around the chicken was tender and juicy. Usually not a big fan of chicken wings but here it was totally different, I couldn't get enough of it. Just one improvement, which I also mentioned to Reto it could be more spicier next time, even one that is extra spicy if it's just for me hehe. Besides the cooking the service was impeccable, and we got even more drinks as originally promised from @letsdrool - so nice! What a great way to attract and bind long term customers. Let's not forget the social aspects, which is another strength of drool's concept besides offering food you never got before at their partners location. Food & drinks is a great way to connect people and it's always nice to meet new likeminded individuals and get to know them. Big thanks to the Andulino team and their Chef Reto and last but not least drool for making this happen! Already looking forward to the next event at Andulino and for the buffalo chicken on their menu. on the italian side besides pizzas there's pasta with a hint of tomato sauce, pesto and burrata cheese on top. I want more of the buffalo wings for more food experiences check out my instagram in my profile.

I have now eaten at this restaurant 3 times and each time have really enjoyed myself!…read more My first vist (well, my first 2 visits) were in the summer where I got to enjoy the outdoor patio and a nice glass of wine and pizza. The service here was much more friendly that at some other restaurants I've eaten at in the area and I have to say that they are a bit more generous in terms of portion size. The food is quite delicious, with proscuitto pizza being my personal favorite...though I did try some other items. The pizzas are thin and perfect and they offer a chili sauce that is very light with a hint of bite to drizzle over (more of a chili olive oil). After eating here twice this summer, I was perfectly happy when a colleague suggested we try it for dinner this week. I was happy to find that service was just as friendly and the food just as good (so, it wasn't the atmosphere drawing me in). The inside area is also very cute and warm and inviting. The food, as usual, was delicious and I was quite pleased to sit there and talk work for a few hours. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and the pizzas were so good that I'd even suggest coming here from other parts of the city if you can. It's located right off of the tram, so it's easy and convenient to get to.

Luigia's was IN our hotel- you couldn't get more convenient than that! I wasn't expecting much, as most hotel- restaurants are overpriced and mediocre at best. Boy was I wrong!!! Luigia's was fantastic!!! The atmosphere is sophisticated and fun- think red velvet and dim lighting, bustling with activity. Great date place for sure- everyone looked so good in this lighting! We started with bruschetta- it had mortadella and black truffle mayo . Amazing. They CARE about their ingredients and it shows! The Greek salad was delicious, with homemade dressing and perfect for 2 to share. The pizza- San Marzano tomatoes, onions, artichokes-- all laid out beautifully on a superbly baked crust-absolute perfection. This meal was the perfect way to start a vacation. We watched the bartender in awe, making beautiful drinks with love and precision. Our server was excellent and attentive. They provided us English menus and never made us feel awkward for not speaking the language. Going out on a limb to say, possibly the best Italian in Switzerland!

So we were pretty wiped out... Ya ever feel like just eating a couple pieces of pizza, drinking a few glasses (and then maybe a few more glasses) of red wine and then just conking out for the night?... That's how my GF and I felt. Did not want to venture in to downtown Z-rich so we just walked over next door, and dined, then crashed out.... All the food, really really good. Pizza, pasta, meatballs, veal, all that really good. So I decided to rank it with a 4 overall, as the second visit convinced me to continue going there***** First time I went there was for the birthday of a friend.. we wanted to take him out and treat him in a nice place and we chose Pizzeria Scala. We had reserved a table for 5 people, but we ended up being only 4. So, they basically fit 2 other people at the same table with us, as the place was crowded. We found this to be very rude. The waiter spoke no English and was completely unfriendly. We asked him to give us few more minutes for the order and he seemed so pissed about this that he ignored us for the next 15 minutes. Even when we spoke to him in German, he was constantly bored and even giving us wrong indications! The food however was very good (I had a pizza Parma and my friends all got pastas). Especially the home made pastas are very good. We decided to leave this place and try the deserts somewhere else, as the service was really bothering us. Too bad... Even if I didn't plan to come back for the second time, I was in the area and it was around 10pm on a weekday. Both my boyfriend and I were hungry, so we tried La Scala again. This time, a lady waitress served us. She was extremely nice. Made us recommendations from the menu and was giving her best to find something which we really like. I got the pasta with gorgonzola sauce, which I found to be quite good. I think my boyfriend got the carbonara and he was super happy with it. The restaurant was intimate, few people and the atmosphere was complete opposite from the first time I went there.. We had a great time! Moral of the story: even if you have the staff, but love the food.. give it another try! come back, maybe not all the waitress are rude! :)

It's a very popular place, so reservations are always a good idea - most especially on weekends. Last time I went here, I was craving pizza. They have a plethora pre-craft combination pizzas and toppings. You can also request a custom-made pizza with whatever you like on it. The ingredients are all premium-quality, and it's hard to go wrong regardless of the pizza you choose. Tip: The pies at Scala aren't round - they're oval shaped! They're also served wooden boards instead of plates for a truly authentic feel. Bottom line: I'll be back again the next time I'm in the neighborhood :-)
