The restaurant is nice and clean, and the food was excellent. The paella, croquetas, fabada, parrillada, freshly toasted bread, and Tempranillo wine were all delicious and very well prepared.
Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. We had to ask for water, there were not enough menus for our group, and several dishes took almost two hours to arrive. We repeatedly had to raise our hands or find someone whenever we needed something. My sister asked three times for a drink, my daughter's omelet arrived nearly two hours later, and my sister's fabada arrived much later than the same dish ordered by my father.
The most concerning issue was that we ordered three paellas but only received two, yet we were charged for all three. When we questioned the bill, we were told that all three had been served.
At the end of the evening, the waitress explained that she was serving all the tables alone because the other server had disappeared. I understand that staffing problems happen, and I do not blame one waitress for being overwhelmed. However, when a restaurant accepts a reservation for 20 people for a special celebration, adequate staffing and organization should be provided.
The food deserves 5 stars, but the long waits, disorganized service, and billing issue made our overall experience a 3-star one.
