Memories of time gone by. Should be left in the past. We love Big Boy. We have very fond memories of Big Boy. It's just not the same. The service of course was excellent. My waitress was spot on. He as great. The food was okay. It was hot. It was keto friendly for me, and regular for my wife. The salad bar in need of fresh ingredients up. It over all was okay. No thrills, but no real issues. I got the salad bar. The soup was so cold it did not register on their thermometer. Most of the veggies were dried up or "long in the tooth." The big boy was good. The manager asked me how everything was and I told her. She took 5 bucks off my salad bar but forgot the say sorry. For those in sales or customer service, empathize, ask what you can do to make it better, fix it, apologize if needed, and do better next time. "Hey Susie, check the temp on the soup!" My dad and I went to eat at frishs in Tipp city today at about 3 pm. We sat down and ordered our food. The man (server) was taking our order and I noticed on his hands there were tons of what looked to be burns with scabs over them. They we're not covered with bandaids or gloves. He should have been wearing gloves. He brought my salad out before we got any silverware or drinks that really wasn't a big deal but when my dad's food came out He got his fork out of the napkin and it was still dirty and im not talking about spots it looked like it wasn't even sprayed off before it was wrapped in the napkin. The server forgot my dads toast and was reminded about the toast but never brought it. The restaurant was dirty all the glass in the place had fingerprints can definitely tell it hasn't been cleaned in a while. Just over all disgusted with the place. read more

The milk shakes where good. Are food came after about a 30 minutes , when the food came it was cold and they told us they where out of macaroni ( after we had ordered it and waited for it). We then got a plain burger with just ketchup on it. After waiting for 30 more minutes we walked up to the counter to cancel the order and leave. The women at the counter handed us a plate, when we looked at the burger it had no ketchup and had melted cheese on it. When the bill came they tried to charge us for the macaroni and the burger. I desided to stop in anyway as I kind of wanted a soup & salid. With no oone waiting to be seated, the person at the register told me someone would seat me. First, we have always loved the biscuits and gravy at Frisch's and the convenience of their breakfast bar. It was our "go-to" breakfast destination. Thoroughly disappointed with it today. The first notion that it probably wasn't well run was the huge amount of leafy debris inside the entryway that no one seemed the least bit interested in cleaning up. Strike 1- cleanliness. As usual, we got the breakfast bar... the bar was not hot and everything on our plates was lukewarm at best. The sausage gravy tasted ok but it was runny. The temperature of their bar would have failed a food safety inspection. I know that because I took and passed the Ohio food safety exam. Strike 2- cold food. Our waitress checked on us and we told her the food was cold. The manager came out and assured us that he checked the bar and it was steaming and as it should be. Uh, not ten minutes earlier when we were at it. He offered us a discount but we declined. Strike 3- management denial. We left after eating only half of our food. They opened at 8am. We were there at 8:30am. Off hand I would say they neglected to turn on the buffet table. Yeah, honest mistake. But it made for a terrible food experience. read more

Went through the drive-thru tonight to pick up requested food for a shut-in friend. There were 4 cars in front of me and I sat in line for 45 minutes before it was my turn at the speaker. I was told they would be with me "in a minute" and then I waited another 20 minutes. When I said "Hello?" I was told it would be another minute. I waited 10 more minutes, periodically asking if I could place my order and received no response. Every car that had been in line behind me left and I finally left without getting any response. The weather was bad and I get that they were probably short staffed. But be honest with me and tell me you don't have the staff, instead of wasting over an hour of my time. I left irritated and angry and will probably not patronize this location again. My friend didn't get the food she wanted. This restaurant is less than 5 minutes from my house and I would rather drive to a different location than go here again. read more

The options for breakfast in the are aren't plentiful, but you won't starve. Especially since you can get a breakfast at this Big Boy for $3-4. In Ohio that may be the normal price for a cheap breakfast, but that's a downright steal in my experience. The service was friendly and attentive, and they do takeout very easily and quickly too, if that's what you need. T he food here was satisfactory. Their breakfast menu can't hold a candle to a place like Denny's, and they may not give as much food as other places, but considering the prices, and the service, you get your money's worth. If you're staying at the La Quinta Inn & Suites across the street, you can't go wrong with the Big Boy across the street, unless the statue really freaks you out. Very dirty and food not good. Took 3 plates to find on without dried food on it. The lettuce was brown at 11:15. I asked them to change it out, the new batch was barely better. The silverware was dirty. The broccoli salad was inedible. Got some soup and after I was done, I noticed dried soup on the outside of the bowl. Disgusting place! I won't be back ever! read more

Lunch May 30, Huge Frisch's fan - Lifelong Frisch's fan - Big Boy is a great/unique sandwich - if you have never tried, you need to stop in and get one! Great place for sandwiches at a very reasonable price. But I gotta ask the management there - the onion rings seemed different. Batter was thicker than previous light flaky crust I have seen over the past 40 years. Did you all at this location change? Has corporate changed? If so - please go back to the old onion rings!! Maybe this was an anomaly or a one off in production, but I didn't finish my onion rings this time and I usually eat mine and half of someone else's. Secondly, I seem to remember the Pork Tenderloin sandwich being thick (like 1-2 inches thick). The one I got was paper thin and there was way more breading than meat. Again, is this just this location or is this a new corporate change. I have been a huge fan of Frisch's but I am concerned as 2 very important menu items seem to now be different. read more
