We had gone around with a bunch of ideas for our wedding but eventually decided on a simple ceremony. The Wedding Chapel area was beautiful and the pictures really do not do it justice. Geoff was our officiant and it felt like we had known him for years with how wonderful of a job he did. Kim was our photographer and nailed it. We had originally said no to photos but at the last minute decided to add them and we are definitely happy we did. Kim and Geoff are amazing at what they do and explained everything so clearly so nothing was left to guess about. As life would have it, we ended up not downloading our pictures before the electronic link expired but Kim was so wonderful and sent them to us again. Customer service, friendliness, and an overall amazing experience is why you should get married at the Bridal Station. Thank you again so much Kim and Geoff!

I have got to lost of bridal shops since this place and have 10000% better experience than this place. I told every place I went to about this shop and how rude they are and have told lots of brides since as well. The person in charge at this place is quite rude and asks irrelevant questions when you're trying to purchase a dress. I don't understand why the owner needs to know the exact location of your wedding. She asked where it was I kindly mention the city then she asked the exact location & it felt odd but I mentioned it (I didn't have to but I did) and when I told her she said "oh that's way too far for me" which I was still cordial but taken aback because it shouldn't matter one bit where my venue is she isn't a guest? She's neither officiating it nor assisting with anything beyond the dress itself. During my visit, I felt very unwelcome, even though I had all the necessary details ready, like the venue, guest count, and date. Which again, how does the guest count help them help you choose a wedding dress??? I had even checked their website beforehand! What truly matters is that brides feel comfortable asking questions without pressure and are made to feel welcome and not rushed. Planning a wedding is already stressful, and my experience there only added to that stress when the lady told me, "you're not ready to buy a dress" due to some questions I had while wanting to see their selection. Although she did show me two dresses from a rack behind the desk, her attitude was very passive-aggressive. The way they run their store is quite unusual; it might work for some, but for brides just walking in to see what the shop is all about and being met with a condescending attitude is disheartening. I would not recommend this store at all. Go anywhere but here.

As with everything in life , there are good and bad things to say about The Wedding Chapel which…read moregives me mixed feelings but I'll give my opinion about what I liked and didn't like when I recently held my weding and reception here. Pros: The cost- all day usage, bridal bouquet, flower girl pedals and groomsmen pens, set up, clean up and minister all for a little over 1k. What a steal. Parking is great, location is prime, The ladies that were at the flower shop pitched in and helped with the little things that were going wrong or that we were behind on and they were so nice. You dont have to have security even if you"re serving alcohol and they provide you with insurance. They have a bar area with an indoor and outdoor fridge/freezer, stove and a seperate bathroom for the bride to get ready with a full size mirror. They are genorous with letting you see the chapel as many times as you want before hand and do not make you feel rushed. Cons- The place needs some TLC. The chapel smells old and looks a little outdated, the rose bushes had dry dead roses, and the 'garden area' was all greenery and did not have any flowers. We instructed the minister that we did not want the ceremony to drag on and didnt want to introduce our family and friends or give out roses but he did it anyway, putting us on the spot and dragging out the ceremony slightly. Although I am sure his intentions were good, we asked not to have a religious ceremony bc we had several different religions attending and we are not religious people but he still said prayers and spoke often of Jesus Christ. He also told my groom that I wanted the rose ceremony when I did not say that so I think he is just set in his ways and will perform whatever ceremony he thinks is best. Also they don't rehearse with you what they are going to say until several minutes before which I thought was unorganized and they do not have papers to send home with you about what the cost of the wedding includes or copies of anything you sign, it is almost like they play everything by ear and you have to either remember what they said or bring your own pen and paper to write everything down. If I could make a suggestion, it would be to invest some money back into the place, remodel the inside, take better care of the landscaping, update the paperwork and make brochures and contracts and use a Minister that respects the wishes of the bride and groom. :

We also opted to have them handle the cleanup the following morning, and it was absolutely worth the extra cost--stress-free and seamless. The location itself is secluded and offers a wonderful sense of privacy. I highly recommend visiting in person to ensure it aligns with your expectations. As a small heads-up: the parking area is unpaved, and there's a bit of gravel to walk through, which posed a slight challenge for a few guests in high heels. The parking area is dirt (owner made sure it was watered prior so minimal dust). Getting from the parking area into the venue area there is small gravel so watch your step and footwear.

Keep in mind that if you're coming here for a wedding, the closest food options in Downtown Sonora are 15-20 minutes away by car, and these roads are winding and hilly, so keep that in mind.

Twice during the ceremony (during the vows) and five times during the reception trapping people in the bathrooms. After the fifth time it went out the most of the guests left grumbling about how shady the place must be making jokes that the owners must not have paid the power bill.
