As with everything in life , there are good and bad things to say about The Wedding Chapel which…read moregives me mixed feelings but I'll give my opinion about what I liked and didn't like when I recently held my weding and reception here. Pros: The cost- all day usage, bridal bouquet, flower girl pedals and groomsmen pens, set up, clean up and minister all for a little over 1k. What a steal. Parking is great, location is prime, The ladies that were at the flower shop pitched in and helped with the little things that were going wrong or that we were behind on and they were so nice. You dont have to have security even if you"re serving alcohol and they provide you with insurance. They have a bar area with an indoor and outdoor fridge/freezer, stove and a seperate bathroom for the bride to get ready with a full size mirror. They are genorous with letting you see the chapel as many times as you want before hand and do not make you feel rushed. Cons- The place needs some TLC. The chapel smells old and looks a little outdated, the rose bushes had dry dead roses, and the 'garden area' was all greenery and did not have any flowers. We instructed the minister that we did not want the ceremony to drag on and didnt want to introduce our family and friends or give out roses but he did it anyway, putting us on the spot and dragging out the ceremony slightly. Although I am sure his intentions were good, we asked not to have a religious ceremony bc we had several different religions attending and we are not religious people but he still said prayers and spoke often of Jesus Christ. He also told my groom that I wanted the rose ceremony when I did not say that so I think he is just set in his ways and will perform whatever ceremony he thinks is best. Also they don't rehearse with you what they are going to say until several minutes before which I thought was unorganized and they do not have papers to send home with you about what the cost of the wedding includes or copies of anything you sign, it is almost like they play everything by ear and you have to either remember what they said or bring your own pen and paper to write everything down. If I could make a suggestion, it would be to invest some money back into the place, remodel the inside, take better care of the landscaping, update the paperwork and make brochures and contracts and use a Minister that respects the wishes of the bride and groom. :

I'm glad no more people showed up because it just would have been too cramped. The chapel itself is an old house with a large, well lit front room perfect for the wedding. We had our reception out in the 'back yard' which is more like a patio area. The cost of the event, flowers, etc was great.

The owners were incredibly supportive--reliable, responsive, and followed through on every promise. One of the things we appreciated most was their flexibility. Unlike many venues that require you to use their preferred vendors for catering, bartending, or florals, August Meadows gave us the freedom to choose our own. That made a huge difference in creating a day that felt personal and unique. We also opted to have them handle the cleanup the following morning, and it was absolutely worth the extra cost--stress-free and seamless. The location itself is secluded and offers a wonderful sense of privacy. I highly recommend visiting in person to ensure it aligns with your expectations. As a small heads-up: the parking area is unpaved, and there's a bit of gravel to walk through, which posed a slight challenge for a few guests in high heels. Also, having a microwave in the clubhouse would be a nice addition. Other than that, our experience was outstanding. I would wholeheartedly recommend August Meadows to anyone looking for a beautiful, flexible, and well-managed venue.

Owner was very helpful with valuable suggestions to make the event a success. Private location surrounded by trees has a large grass area, great gazebo in the round area set up for drinks, and a cement area ideal for dancing. Rooms available for bridal party to get dressed (wished it had AC) for the big day. Strongly recommend you check this venue out. The parking area is dirt (owner made sure it was watered prior so minimal dust). Getting from the parking area into the venue area there is small gravel so watch your step and footwear.

As our officiant, Minister Hayne created a ceremony that was heartfelt, personal, and beautifully tailored to our story. Her warm, calming presence made the entire experience feel meaningful, genuine, and filled with joy. Many of our guests commented on how touching and well‑delivered the ceremony was. As our photographer, she was just as incredible. She made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera and captured every important moment with creativity and care. The photos turned out absolutely stunning--full of emotion, detail, and authenticity. We now have a gorgeous collection of memories that we'll cherish forever. Handling both roles seamlessly is no small task, but Minister Hayne did it with grace, professionalism, and passion. We couldn't have asked for a better person to guide our ceremony and preserve our most special moments. We highly, highly recommend Minister Hayne to any couple looking for an exceptional officiant, photographer, or--if you're lucky enough--both.

Amazingly shaded throughout so it does get too hot and the sun is never really hitting your face. It was simply and elegantly decorated, felt like a fairytale wedding. Since getting married we welcomed twin boys and it was so fun to take them back to where we said I do and show them around. This venue is the absolute most gorgeous venue I have ever seen and just when you think it can't get any better they add something new and it gets better. If you are in the market for a wedding venue or an event venue look no further, Nestldown is where you want to be! Pictures do not capture the absolute magical atmosphere that Nestldown offers, you have to see it in person. Beyond the absolute breath taking scenery is the owners and the staff. It has been almost 6 years since my husband and I got married at Nestldown, I walked up to the owners daughter to introduce myself and was greeted with a huge hug and a "hi Jennica, my December bride" I have no idea how Diana keeps track of everyone's name and wedding date but she does. I didn't need to introduce myself she knew who I was! This incredible personal touch that Nestldown offers is unmatched in the bay area. Diana is and always has been a Rockstar! From start to finish Nestldown and their staff will make your wedding day unforgettable and magical! If this review isn't enough to make you check out this place, take it from my 4 year old twins who as we were leaving said " thanks mama for sharing this magical place where you got married, this was the best day ever" They do tours so run dont walk to book one!
