I have complained about this location before. They are also extremely condescending. They don't give a goddamn about giving people care. I was there a week ago and then again today. I needed a cough suppressant and other remedies a week ago for an upper respiratory infection. The 'cough suppressent' doesn't work. Awesome. Today I had to see them again because after recovering from the upper respiratory infection, I now have a sore throat, dry cough, aches, and constant sinus issues. I told them that I am fatigued from fighting coughing constantly. They did not prescribe a cough suppressant. They prescribed 4 medications for me. I left and then received an automated call from Walgreen saying that insurance won't cover 2 of the medications. I walked BACK to CityMD to request that they actually provide care and prescribe what insurance will cover. They were supposed to call me with the resolution. I had a call from their number with no message - however they called the number I told them NOT to call, and also did not even do the courtesy of leaving a bloody message. I called back to deal with people who don't give a GODDAMN. They didn't provide a solution for the medication issue when I called, nor did they call back before they closed. I told them that they don't provide care, that they don't give a DAMN and hung up. CityMD, You people are disgusting. I hope a truck runs me over so that I never have to see you again.

I made an appointment for 12:45, and although we were taken to a room right away, the experience went downhill from there. The doctor who saw my father seemed like he had no clue what he was doing. He told us my dad tested negative, then randomly asked if he wanted antibiotics--without explaining what they were for. I had to ask. He then said, "It could be an upper respiratory infection." Could be? I need a doctor to be sure, not guess. He didn't prescribe anything because my dad is on multiple medications. My dad told the doctor to call his nephrologist to see what he can prescribe him since he's on multiple medications. I called this morning only to find out they're not prescribing anything since it's viral--information that was never told to us yesterday. And being told to follow up with his nephrologist made no sense at all. That's a kidney doctor. What does that have to do with a respiratory illness? The supervisor at the desk was really nice and the only person who seemed to know what she was doing. But overall, they seriously need REAL doctors who are confident, clear, and knowledgeable. I would NEVER go back to another CityMD. I'd rather sit in the emergency room--at least I know I'll be seen by real doctors who know what they're doing.

I then drove over and waited in my car until Sue gave me a call and then I walked right into the testing space. Alex carefully took down a list of my symptoms and administered my test in full gear. Then I waited 20 *frantic* minutes for my rapid results. That's when I got dreaded news that I was positive (despite being super cautious snd ALWAYS wearing my mask). PA Daniel Iannello was AMAZING in calming my nerves and telling me everything I should do to keep others safe and take care of myself. If I had gotten this news from anyone else, I would have 100% had a panic attack but he kept me in good spirits and handled the situation with the utmost bedside manner and grace. I left there feeling *positive* in spirit (and with COVID, since I was definitely having a bunch of symptoms), and I can't thank the staff here enough. This was something I had been doing everything to avoid, but everyone at this ProHealth location gave me a sense of normalcy and their best advice. I will also say there were no other patients in the waiting room so they really have their COVID procedures in place in an effort to keep everyone safe. It's been 10+ days since testing positive and I am officially NEGATIVE and so happy this experience is over. Just missing my sense of taste and smell. I am truly so thankful for everyone at ProHealth for providing me with great care on one of the scariest mornings. If you are having symptoms or think you have been exposed, you should absolutely get tested at any available testing center. But if you have a choice of where to get your test, this ProHealth location reigns supreme in my book.

WHAT?? My concerns were completely dismissed. He had poor bedside manner, ended the visit by saying "bye," in a sarcastic manner and slamming the door. The appt was literally 1 min, he's a scammer. Unfortunately, this wasn't my first experience with him, years ago he was similarly dismissive of another medical concern. I was hoping he wasn't going to be the doctor when I went, otherwise I def wouldn't have wanted to be seen by him. Many people have expressed how insensitive and dismissive he is. What kind of medical office fails to follow through with something as basic and essential as test results? If you care at all about your health, your time, or basic communication, do not go here. When the Atlantic Ave location closed, I started coming to this one. Yesterday I took my daughter and we saw Dr. Sonam Kapoor -- she is so sweet, and my daughters used to see her at the Atlantic Ave location as well. Unfortunately, today's experience was completely different. My daughter is still very uncomfortable, and despite trying everything, she wasn't feeling better, so I called for guidance. The doctor who answered was extremely rude. It's not what she said, but how she said it. She kept talking over me while I was trying to explain what was going on, and she ended up hanging up on me. I was in tears -- I'm just trying to help my daughter feel better. I called back and spoke with Shana at the front desk, and she was no help at all. I asked for the doctor's name so I could make a proper complaint, and she refused to give it to me. Instead, she ignored my questions and continued talking to someone in the background without even placing me on hold. I was shocked by this level of unprofessionalism, especially from a place I've trusted for so long. I work in healthcare, and I would never speak to a parent the way I was spoken to today. Shana told me I could call corporate, but how am I supposed to file a complaint when she won't provide the doctor's name? This experience has truly changed how I feel about this location. Unless things drastically improve, I don't think I'll be returning. Both the doctor I spoke with and Shana at the front desk need serious training in professionalism, empathy, and basic communication.
