So happy with my experience here today! What better way to beat the Monday blues than with a little pampering? And this place hit the spot! I was greeted very nicely as I walked in the door and they seated me right away. I showed Sandy a picture of what I wanted and she got straight to work. She was friendly and talkative but not overly so (I'm one of those girls who doesn't want to chat the whole time I'm there, so Sandy was perfect). She was also very meticulous about getting the shape and length of the nails just right, which I absolutely LOVE. I've had my nails done so many times where they came out uneven and I have to go home and file them just to look straight! Not these! Sandy got them perfectly shaped right from the get go! Lastly, I'm a nail/cuticle biter (doh!)... Sandy noticed my cuticles were in pretty bad shape and was very careful with me. Unlike other salons where I almost always get a nick or cut, Sandy was so gentle, I came out unscathed. So any red spots you see in my picture were there BEFORE I saw her and she did an amazing job. Oh! And one more thing, she did the thickness of the acrylic JUST RIGHT! Not so thin that they feel flimsy, but not so thick they make my fingers throb and feel heavy. Nope. She got them perfectly in between. And so far, they stood up to me doing a little handy-man work (hanging mirrors) about 4 hours after so I am not worried at all that they will crack or anything! read more

One of the fastest pedicures I've ever had. I came here because I had a gift certificate to use. I got a regular pedicure. When I got there, the place was pretty full with customers getting their nails done. As soon as I walked in, one of the women asked how may I help you, I told her I had a 4pm appt. and she told me to sit down at the manicure table with another worker who was open. I told her no, it's for a regular pedicure. I proceeded to pick my color, another worker asked if I wanted gel color. I told her no, just regular. As soon as I sat in my chair, the women working on my feet, got right to it. I didn't even have time to relax and soak my feet in the tub. As she proceeded to do my nails she asked if I wanted to do my hands too, I told her no, just my feet. Later into my pedicure another women walked by and asked if I wanted to do my hands again. I told her no. I felt like this was a rushed pedicure and they were only pushing to get more services out of me. There were 10 workers and out of the 10, 5 of them were just sitting around in their phones. When i was finished, the worker told me the total and I gave her my gift certificate, she came back and told me I am good to go. She didn't even help me off the chair, or put the chair arm up for me, like how they usually do at my regular salon that I go to in waimanalo. I mean help a pregnant women out. There went her tip out the door. I must say, I will not be back to this salon ever again. I'm glad it was a gift certificate I used and not my own money. This place is a joke. The owner thinks he is the shit. He is a great nail artist but if you have bad attitude , poor customer service and zero integrity then you don't have anything. I started writing a review which is turning into a long waste of my time. So many things went wrong with our nail experience on 2 separate occasions. My full set of filled nails were all broken within days. I have never to this day been reimbursed or corrected for this nail mess even though I was told i would be. All was good initially and we made an appt. for the repair for my nails and a fill for my daughter. unfortunately the day of our appt my poor daughter came down with terrible stomach virus. So we had to cancel. A few days later I was reaching out to danny to reschedule this redo and fill now that daughter was well. At this point I was completed ghosted. danny didn't reply to any of my calls for 2 weeks. This was very poor customer service and a slap in the face. Since Danny the owner never replied to my repeated calls we had another gentlemen at the shop Andy fill my daughters nails. he was incompetent with nail design,paint and gems. Shape length and design was not ok and bubbles in the paint. Along with that the gal that I asked to take off my nails since Danny never got back to me to redo/fix them/reimburse me was ripping off my acrylic and made me bleed. It was all super weird bc while there Danny never even acknowledged me and or made any attempt to not charge me for the girl removing the acrylic on my nails that he was supposed to fix. So I ended up paying $35 for that service. After that we left so unsatisfied and still wanting danny to redo my nails and now fix my daughters botched job because I was certain he was a good man and wanted to not represent his business this way. when I txt danny to ask him to touch up my daughters nails that Andy ruined he said no and that Andy can do that. And the reason he is refusing business to me and my daughter is because I canceled on him. Again I will say I had to cancel one appt regretfully when my poor 13 year old daughter had the stomach flu. So basically I still haven't been reimbursed/repaired by this shop for my broken set and have been refused service by Danny the owner bc I had to cancel an appt due to my child being ill. Long story tried to shorten.. If you care about choosing a business that does the right thing and has Integrity and good customer service then this shop is NOT for you. read more

The older women who took my mom about 5 minutes later rushed the cleaning process and massaging and slapped some rhinestones on in terrible form. I walked in no appointment yesterday and was able to do a deluxe pedi and gel mani no wait, which was great. Zen helped me and let me tell you, she is the real deal y'all!! Super sweet! Super talented! She was sooo meticulous and took extra care with everything she did, from callous removal, to foot massage, to removing my previous gel polish on my nails. When I first made an appointment I made it with Danny because a friend had recommended him to me. I came in and was waiting for a bit which I didn't mind at all because I came in pretty early before my appointment. I was taken by another woman who began helping me and I figured she was just going to prep me while Danny finished another customer, but a woman who came in after me was taken by Danny first and the woman finished my nails. The woman who did my nails was Kiana, who is the reason I'm giving a good rating. She's done my nails twice now and I've loved them both times. My nails never feel or look chunky and both times I've given her reference pictures and she's gotten it spot on. I love going to her and highly recommend her. However, on the upside they were able to take me in right away without having an appointment. The establishment itself has very poor ventilation. Being that it's a nail salon, I expected it to have somewhat of an odor, but was taken aback by the strong smell. The place is pretty pricey as well, so be prepared to pay top dollar for their services. I thought the actual product/service was okay, but not for the prices that they charge. Customer service was a 3/10. At the end, I was shocked to find out my total. That may be my fault for not doing the proper research ahead of time. I haven't taken him up on it, but I feel that it says something when the owner does that. To me it means he takes pride in his business and not just making $$. Props Danny! I'm guessing what happened, in my case, is similar to that adage "when the cat's away, the mice will play" and since I didn't see Danny there when I was in, that must have meant that his workers were being lazy and effing off. No one can force you to do your nails a certain way unless you allow them to. First time here ever and as soon as I walked in the door I got greeted with a warm genuine welcome! I would say I'm officially a regular here. I come every two weeks or so. There's always a good amount of nail technicians on so there's never a wait. They're always super friendly. I've gotten Rose and she does a great job on my nails. Make sure you bring cash for a tip since you can't tip on card. For Hawaii, I think this nail salon is fairly priced.
