This place is absolutely horrible for several reasons.
I put my money in a washer to wash a load of laundry and a sign indicated how to turn the dial to Hot, Warm or Cold. However, the knobs were off each washer. I didn't think much of it until I couldn't turn it to Hot.
Since I had a wrench with me, I used it to turn the black stem where the dial normally is to Hot and it wouldn't fill with water. Apparently, the hot water was turned off from its source. The warm water was also turned off. It would only fill with water on the cold setting.
Above the sign on how to turn the washer water to Hot, Warm or Cold was a crucifix (yes, Jesus on a cross at the Laundromat) and pictures of the owners were on either side of it. Consequently, I wrote a little note on the sign that said, "NO HOT!" because I didn't want others to get ripped off like I did.
The owner dropped by and I had a few words with her. She said nobody else has complained. However, that doesn't make it any better. She is ripping people off and if she cared about the community, she would provide hot water because you can't really get clothes clean without it.
After I said it was false advertising, she threw me out. I took my laundry out of the dryer before it was dry and I left.
I had an awful experience at this Laundromat and the owner is mean and cares more about money than people because it costs her money to give people hot water, whereas cold water is cheaper. Just because the poor residents haven't said anything to her face about it, it doesn't mean they don't like it. They are suffering and probably don't even know it.
Please don't go to this Laundromat or support it because it's a disgusting display of cheapness, religiosity and ignorance that nobody should have to deal with. It's also dirty and there is another Laundromat behind the Outpost grocery store and it's only a block or two away. read more
