I called and spoke with Dan (I believe it was Dan). He was the most arrogant person I have spoken to in a long time. I asked what I could expect for the $249 fee, and he was insulted that I would even question this. During the short conversation that I was "privileged" to have with him, his terrible attitude was insurmountable. Before I was able to describe what I thought the problem might be (to see if he might be able to fix it), he hung up on me. I can honestly say that Daniel is a genius within his field! Our office computers(7) including our outdated server was failing on us. As well as a couple other issues; outdated infrastructure, Internet, and etc. We called Friendly FixIT in a state of panic, we got lucky because Daniel showed up within the hour. We really were on a limb, and desperate as our business requires us to be up and running. Daniel came in, did a thorough assessment and got straight to work. I would leave 0 stars but it is not an option. I called to discuss an issue but something was wrong with my phone and I didn't even get to talk to him. When I got it to restart, I had received a voicemail from him. Ok cool! I listen to the voicemail, but I think he thought I prank called him or something because he cursed at me and then called me an idiot!!! I was just looking to give him my business but I'm definitely not calling back after that!!! It is unbelievable and ironic because they are "friendly"! I am shocked and just wanted to warn people because the voicemail was horrific. What a fantastic and efficient service! They actually answer the phone , got an appointment right away with email confirmation and all! Couldn't get WiFi in a few rooms of my house and my kids were driving me crazy about it. I bought a new router but that didn't fix the problem. The Friendly Fix It tech came out and within less than an hour it was identified i had copper pipes blocking my signal and I had a powerline adapter put in to bypass the problem. Who knew!? Phenomenal service. They answer their phones all the time, even on Sundays. The man running the place is dutifully courteous, professional, and inquisitive. He kept me informed daily on what was going on with my computer, and took the time to explain what was wrong, what our options were to fix it, and he kept me appraised of all possible costs. He even opened up his shop after-hours to return my computer to me, and added a significant military discount without my asking! Hands down the best service I have had from a small business ever. I would recommend them to anyone, they went above and beyond my expectations and blew me away with their quality of service. I had the worst experience today with this company. Apparently it was the owner who called me, I thought it was a rep. He was rude. He questioned me as to why I didn't answer my phone when he first called. I told him I get spam calls all day long and he replied "so does everyone." So incredibly rude. After he explained what he thought was wrong and couldn't do what I was looking for said I would still be charged the $99. He never came out or anything and yet refused to refund my payment. I consider myself a somewhat computer-savvy person, so I've never used a service like this before; instead I've always bugged my computer geek friends. I don't know why I waited so long. Not only did my computer get fixed, I learned a lot about maintaining my computer so the problem wouldn't keep happening. In addition, I got a lot of tips about how to back up my data in an affordable/efficient/safe way, protect my computer (apparently the way I've been doing it is not necessary and wastes my money) and have a more stable internet connection. Easy to schedule. Tech seemed knowledgeable until I found that he had deleted My safari browser (due to bug) without backing up bookmarks thus losing over 4300 sites is use for work! I am so disappointed. I called to make an appointment. Paid $138 in advance. Then found out 30 minutes later that my computer was not available to be fixed. unfortunately, I cannot rate Daniel very strong for a potential 1st time customer. Setting up the appointment was very easy and positive. My problem was that they missed their time schedule (2 hour window) so I called and cancelled the appointment. I told them that I should not be charged for it due to the fact they did not meet their obligation (contract law). He then still came to my home and tried to make it work after I canceled them. My home network wireless router was on the fritz, resetting its own access network key (I know that sounds ridiculous, but it was true!) and causing lots of aggravation especially since I was trying to connect my new Samsung LED television wirelessly. I was able to book a technician to visit the same day to straighten out our dysfunctional wifi setup that included three wireless printers, two Mac laptops and a PC. Daniel showed up at 11:30 as scheduled and did his thing. We are now wireless happy and fully functional. He also hooked up a replacement external hard drive for the PC and was on his way after only 50 minutes. This is my first time giving a yelp review but the service was so poor and incomplete that I HAVE to. The person who came to our home basically broke our entire computer. He was a complete "know it all" that actually knew nothing. I found this company for my for my father as his laptop had a virus and crashed. Friendly fix it showed up on a Friday evening, spent 25 minutes wiping my dad's computer clean and left. He was charged for a full hour and wasn't offered any assistance setting up his email or getting his internet explorer working. My dad is a senior and I feel like this company took advantage of that. They tech (owner) who came out was more worried about getting home and traffic than providing any sort of customer service to my technologically challenged father.
