Dr. Desai was very happy with my progress and I graduated from appointments for my hip. I was given an injection for pain in my left knee which should have me feeling pain free for about three months or longer. I have decided to take this route until knee replacement surgery is completely necessary. If you are in need of a surgeon that is caring and experienced in hip replacement and knee replacement surgery Dr Desai is an excellent choice.

Decided to see Dr. Gomez after many referrals and research. Long history as a Florida Hospital…read morephysician and comes highly recommended. Great location right off of Fairbanks. Was able to get an appointment within a few days. +5 points Here for therapy after motor vehicle accident. Very courteous staff, extremely accommodating and very knowledgable. Clean practice environment. Was seen on time for my appointment (how often does THAT happen?!) and taken to room. Therapist made me comfortable and set me up with TENS therapy. Big surprise: warm electrode pads. (ahhhhh.....). Hot pack on top and left to relax. Then ultrasound therapy. Big surprise again: warm gel! (Am I in a dream?!). Did the therapy with BioFreeze - a great topical anesthetic. The ultrasound therapy was nice, and helped with some stiffness I've been having. On the way out, the secretary/receptionist was very accommodating with my hectic schedule and also was happy to help with a request for the doctor. Needed to switch appointment: no problems. Great people make a great practice.

The next time I need orthopedic care, I'll go here.

Don't come to the walk in clinic. Save yourself the time and just go to another local Urgent Care…read more After my experience, I do not recommend the walk in clinic at all and regret not going to a different specialized Orthopedic Urgent Care in the Winter Park area. I it's too bad, everyone kept saying how Jewett was the best, but I totally disagree and can think of other places I should have went to be seen. Your images from your visit will never be reviewed by a radiologist and you'll leave with more questions than you walked in (and wait in an empty waiting room for over two hours) with. If you have an obvious fracture that's run of the mill then this probably works, but if you want more pain after imaging (a lack of toe standard images needed to exclude the condition you're worried about) and no results on your X-rays from a radiologist or MD, then you should come here! I don't think I'll ever be back to the walk-in clinic and am truly unhappy with my experience here... And I still have almost two weeks to wait until a Doctor can see me (which will be 4 weeks out from my injury with no definitive diagnosis from the ED or the walk-in clinic)! That's ages when it comes to Ortho care and it's crazy a simple condition can't be properly evaluated and diagnosed... :/

This organization, Rothman Orthopaedics, demonstrated a complete failure in handling my father's…read morecare during a critical time in his life. My father has stage 4 terminal cancer, and due to their inability to properly receive and process a referral, five months were wasted. After numerous phone calls and repeated follow-ups on my part, the staff eventually stated that Dr. Durfee had reviewed my father's case and scheduled an appointment. At that time, I explicitly confirmed that insurance authorization had already been completed. However, just one week before the scheduled visit, we were informed that the authorization had never been submitted. To make matters worse, we were then told that they do not even accept my father's Humana insurance. Additionally, after speaking directly with my father's oncologist, I learned that no one from Rothman Orthopaedics had ever contacted their office, despite me being told that a consultation between Dr. Durfee and the oncologist had taken place. This level of miscommunication, misinformation, and administrative failure is unacceptable--especially when dealing with a patient facing a life-limiting illness where time is incredibly valuable.

I discovered this location for Jewett when I had a follow up after surgery. It came in very handy…read morewhen I fractured my elbow. I didn't want to go to a walk in clinic or the ER - since there are sick people there. This place is great because they get you in do the x-ray and can provide you with whatever type of sling or brace you may need. I thought I broke a toe and went there and found out I didn't but man it hurt. They gave me what I needed and sent me on my way. Again when I had a weird pain in my foot - they diagnosed my tendonitis quickly and I was back in action in just a few weeks. Every time I have seen Dr. Costello - he is a great doctor. In my profession I deal with physicians every day and this guy is very professional, knowledgeable and a nice guy. I had spinal surgery by another one of their docs and Jewett saved my life. But that is another long story. You may have to wait but it is a better alternative to the hospital, Centra Care or having to make an appointment with a specialist. So if you are klutz like me and break an arm or fracture another body part you may want to go to this clinic.
