I'm a 71 year old woman who enjoys an active lifestyle (cyclist, walker/runner) until last October when, after a long bike ride, I developed Achilles' Tendonitis. The pain was severe and I had many sleepless nights. Finally went to a doctor; was told to rest, do stretches and apply ice. Wear different shoes. Don't bike and severely limit walking. While it helped, the pain never fully went away and would flare-up without warning. Went back to the doctor and was told the same. For 8 months, I suffered and my lifestyle changed. I almost gave up. But then a friend told me about Dr. Jeff and suggested I give it a try. I had never heard of this treatment but after reading many positive reviews from experts, I decided to go see him. I signed up for six once-a-week Piezo Wave Treatments on my right Achilles Tendon. By the third treatment I could feel improvement. Was able to stretch more fully with less pain. The sharp pains diminished and finally disappeared by week four. I increased my walking. I started to regain my confidence. Was so impressed that I got a few treatments on my left Achilles tendon also, as well as my SI Joint. Today I received my last treatment and am extremely pleased with the results. Eight months I suffered and in six weeks I found relief!! Dr. Jeff is amazing. He asks questions, listens and explains everything. And his staff and technicians are just as amazing. I really wanted this treatment to work because I was in pain, but my experience was disappointing and I will not be returning. I initially inquired about a $49 introductory treatment special that Dr. Jeff was advertising through his Orange Wellness clinic. When I asked whether the same promotion was available at the Hamlin location, I was told it was not. Later, I saw Dr. Jeff continuing to advertise the same $49 special at his other location. After bringing this to his attention, I was again informed that the promotion would not be honored at Hamlin. I added the Orange Wellness promotion in a screenshot below. *** Many clinics in the area offer similar introductory specials for first-time shockwave therapy treatments (focused not radial), making these types of promotions fairly common for new patients.*** I also found the communication regarding treatment expectations lacking. I underwent four shockwave therapy sessions and personally experienced significant discomfort during treatment. I did not experience any improvement in my symptoms. Before treatment, I did not understand that the procedure would be painful. In a later text message, Dr. Jeff explained that the treatment works by using pressure-pulsed sound waves to apply deep pressure to tissues. However, I did not interpret the explanation provided before treatment as a warning that the procedure could be painful. When the shockwave therapy failed to provide relief, I asked whether I could receive a standalone ozone (prolozone) injection. Dr. Jeff would not offer the ozone injection by itself and would only provide it if I also purchased more expensive PRP or stem cell treatments. Other clinics in the area offered Prolozone injections as a standalone treatment without requiring the purchase of PRP or stem cell procedures. I was interested in receiving treatment from this clinic because Dr. Jeff indicated that he was familiar with and capable of performing Prolozone injections. However, I was again informed that Prolozone was not available as a standalone option. When I requested a refund for my unused treatments, the initial refund amount was lower than anticipated and did not match what I believed was owed based on the unused services. I was told that because I was cancelling early, the prepaid package discount no longer applied. He ultimately refunded the full amount for the two unused treatments, but only after I complained and requested that the issue be addressed. In a text message discussing pricing, Dr. Jeff stated: "Also, as to pricing, even though it is in line and fairly priced we are also in a higher-end area, not in Pine Hills for example." I also found the handling of my concerns disappointing. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I received a lengthy text response explaining the clinic's position rather than a phone call to discuss the issues directly. The communication left me feeling upset and frustrated. I am posting screenshots of the relevant text messages and my receipt so that readers can review the communications and pricing for themselves. My receipt shows that I paid the regular treatment price and did not receive a $49 introductory treatment. Based on my experience, I would not return and would choose another clinic in the future. ***Update** To clarify a few points, my MRI was reviewed during the consultation, and shockwave therapy was explained to me in terms of what the treatment involved, but not the level of discomfort I might experience. When I specifically asked whether any treatment was included during that visit, I was told that it was not. I also did not receive any X-rays through your clinic. In addition, I have photos of the promotion that was being advertised at the time. The advertisement clearly stated (at Orange Wellness) that the $49 offer INCLUDED A TREATMENT; however, I did not receive any treatment for $49. Instead, I purchased the package that same day and was charged the full price for my first treatment. RECEIPT INCLUDED BELOW. This was the price for ONE KNEE. I still don't understand why the $49 introductory offer couldn't have been honored, especially since I was already committing to an expensive treatment package. A small gesture like that would have gone a long way toward making me feel valued as a patient. Had the situation been handled with more kindness and customer care, I likely would have returned for additional services in the future. My review is based on my experience with Dr. Jeff, the owner. I like to read reviews before visiting a place, but I've always believed reviews are subjective and based on individual experiences. That's why I prefer to see for myself. I'm glad I did with Relief Now. From the beginning, Dr. Jeff, Eddie, and Mark have been professional, helpful, and easy to talk to. They took the time to explain the available options and helped me find the package that made the most sense for my needs without any pressure or overselling.
