I have been to this place many times and would give this place 5 stars except for one bad visit long ago. Part the of the bad experience was my fault and the business recently opened and things were being worked out. Ever since that one visit things have ALWAYS been great! Friendly service clean establishment and always good food! They are also open late that helps if you need a meal after an event and nothing else is open during the week. I would recommend this place to everyone even those who may not like Mexican food. It is worth a visit!

Everything was great including the service. Food was fresh and beautifully presented. Staff were masked which was comforting during pandemic. The ONLY negative thing was the choice of music that was on a circuit. I'd recommend more authentic music that represents the culture rather than ABBA. We will definitely be back and spread the word of delicious food!

Went for lunch on a Tuesday, a little before noontime, and we were the first customers. Opted to skip the buffet, which did not look very extensive, and ordered from the regular menu. The salsa was very, very nice. Food was served after about a 10 minute wait. Super Burrito was fairly large, and served with a side of lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Pretty good, but not great. Closer to noon time the place gained more customers, several of whom chose the buffet. Free Wi-Fi. Check the Yelp app for a 10% discount on orders over $10.

I'm so glad I was finally able to make it to Frida Kahlo's and I'm already trying to plan out the next time I can go. As soon as I arrived, I immediately noticed how friendly the staff was: greeted right away by a waiter and the bartender. We could sit wherever we liked as it was a pretty casual atmosphere. We were give menus and chips & salsa right away. I really liked the salsa as it had flavor but was not spicy. I also ordered the queso and it was reasonably priced for a generous portion. It was hard to know what to pick as everything on the expansive menu sounded delicious, so I got the grande burrito to get a good baseline for the food. I went out of my comfort zone and got the al pastor (I usually get chicken) and I was not disappointed! Great flavor to the marinade with chunks of pineapple, along with the beans and rice in the burrito was a great mix. I loved that there was cheese, avocado, tomato, and sour cream on top. The waiter was attentive and I could tell the rest of the staff was working very hard. Service was fast but there was no rush to leave. I thought the prices were fair and if you check-in on Yelp, you will get a coupon for 10% off your bill if it is over $10! I can't wait to come back!

I honestly love this place. Food is always good, drinks are awesome, and service is pretty good! I hate to be a stickler but I ordered a steak quesadilla to-go and it was made half the size of what I would get dine-in. Pretty annoyed I paid $14 for a taco sized quesadilla I hope this was a just a mistake...

An average "authentic Mexican restaurant," which just so happens to have aspirations: having a theme, rather than just a random Spanish name. The decor did not so much describe Frida Kahlo, artist, as it looked like an "authentic Mexican restaurant" that fancied itself to be appreciative of said artist. The seating could only have been worse if EVERY table were clustered around the back end of a cash register, and not only my table. Or if the chairs were constantly wobbling, and not just the table. Frankly, I guess there's many ways it could have been worse, so we'll move on. I ordered the Spartan Burrito, named after Local Sports Team, and received a soggy tortilla loosely wrapped around hunks of meat and covered with a lightly spicy paste. Cutting into it resembled nothing so much as disemboweling an animal that had just washed up from the shore of the Cedar River. It was somewhat palatable. I had ordered a Fanta, as well, assuming that I would get a sparkling orange beverage. Instead, I got a crusty little tortilla with shredded meat and probably some other things that I didn't pay attention to. They did not have the drink, Fanta. But I was offered Crush soda after discussing this miscommunication with the staff. And, oh, the staff was lovely. I was greeted at the door by a charming fellow who held that door open while I kicked the snow off my boots. He readily gave me a discount for this snarky review, and gave me a $5 discount card for my next visit. The workers were the single best thing about this restaurant, and overall my strongest wish is that they find a better restaurant to work at. I'd be glad to eat there.

Wonderful place of Mexican Food!!! I and my friends filled our stomach up with delicious and fresh food here. Chips are so crispy, Guacamole is so fresh, and Fridas Molcajete is the great!! Cakes in the bakery are also good!

Great place to watch the fight!

Great al pastor tacos and margarita. Most restaurants don't know how to do good al pastor and that us how I measure how good they are.

My son-in-law had the cinnamon rolls served at Iowa River Landing recently and pronounced them among the best he'd ever had--and he's had plenty! My daughter isn't a baker and decided to order desserts for Thanksgiving here. They were simply perfection. We agreed we have never tasted a better French silk pie. The chocolate flavor was strong and distinct, with a nice balance of lightness and creamy texture like a well-prepared mousse. It's clear the ingredients used were top quality. There was just a hint of saltiness that intensified the sweetness, and the crust was flaky and light. The whipped cream and flakes of chocolate on top were ideal complements to the filling. It's so good we all agreed we need to order another for Christmas, and I'm planning on serving one for my book club, too. What a hit! My daughter also ordered the turkey cookies--genuine works of art. None of us have seen such intricate, creative, colorful designs and the younger children in the family were just captivated! One of the grandchildren has an extremely severe peanut allergy. When my daughter called to ask about the safety of the products in that case, the person she spoke with was so kind and helpful. Some places we've found to be dismissive or defensive. Not so, The Eat Shop. They DO use peanuts sometimes, but they had not used any peanut products in the kitchen for a week prior to Thanksgiving, and they indicated that the risk would be extremely low of any cross-contamination. That is a fair and useful assessment, and we very much appreciated the information. Oh, and wonder of wonders in today's sometimes difficult, hit-or-miss business environment, the pie and cookies were beautifully packaged and DELIVERED to the door with a cheery reminder from the driver that "the pie should be refrigerated." I can very highly recommend The Eat Shop as a lovely little place to find something tasty and gorgeous for a special holiday or just a delightful treat for you or the family. It's easy to order in advance. All of us in the extended family have pretty distinct taste preferences, yet each of us was happy as could be, and that is what I'd call "a Thanksgiving miracle"!

She provided excellent guidance in making decisions on the choices. We provided a photo of what we were looking for and the results surpassed our expectations. Tiffany set up the cake and cupcakes in such a beautiful manner, with special touches. Three key points in working with Triple Tier: 1. Through our interactions, her questions, and how accommodating Tiffany was, the care and attention she provided made it clear she really wanted to do her part to make sure the event was wonderful. We live three hours away and were able to take care of all the details through phone/email/text. 2. As stated the end product was beautiful and exceeded expectations. We ordered vanilla, chocolate, and carrot cake cupcakes. There was a light dusting of cinnamon on the carrot cake frosting making it easy to tell them apart. The attention to detail was wonderful. 3. The actual taste of the cake and cupcakes was amazing. The flavor of each was distinct and delicious. The frosting was perfect, not too sweet. I have no idea how she did it, but the bride and groom wanted a marble cake and it was marbled. It looked like marble, not like traditional bakery marble cake. After tasting the cake, they both remarked "Ok that is a really good cake!" I highly recommend Triple Tier - We have a favorite bakery where we live and the Triple Tier cake and cupcakes surpassed the deliciousness of our local expert.
