Such a cute spot with delicious coffee. The vibe of this cafe is immaculate, there was clearly a lot of intention and artistry that went into building this cozy, welcoming space. Service was fast, friendly, and helpful answering any questions I had. The coffee itself (the almond citrus in my case) was perfect. The sugar level was exactly how I like it (low sweetness) with a subtle floral and orange finish. A truly delightful experience; this is definitely my go-to spot when I find myself in Fresno.
Greeted upon entry. I will definitely be going back. The ambiance is chill, and chill some more. I had the Puerto Rico Libre which was simply delicious. I have been spying their flights for a while. Discovered today their flights like my beverage are multi-sensory. I cannot wait until my next visit.
My new favorite coffee shop in the downtown Fresno area! The look and the vibe immediately hit you as you walk-in. Plus there's tons of cozy couches and nooks here to read a book, hang with friends, or get some laptop work done. I had two coffee drinks and felt like could fly! I first sipped on an iced americano and then gulped down their delicious, Banana Brûlée latte. I normally don't like hot coffee drinks, but this drink was incredible. It's starts with an emulsion of banana and white chocolate, and a caramelized top. The banana was very prominent, and that paired with the charred top put this over the top. My iced americano was just as smooth, but still had that bold espresso flavor. I got this with two pumps of SG vanilla syrup. My intern ordered the Mayan Xoco. I didn't try this, but it looked delicious and I loved the presentation. Just a heads up, this drink has no caffeine in it. It's based on a Mexican hot chocolate. For now, The Frida Cafe is currently running their coffee shop operation via the Bespoke cocktail bar. They will eventually take over their new spot that's literally inside of the actual historic Water Tower in the Tower District sometime in mid 2026. I can't wait to see the new space!
Aaaaammmmmaaazzzinnngg!! Honestly such a unique coffee experience. It wasn't very busy so we got to take our time. I could see if you're in a hurry then this place may not be for you. They truly care about their craft and it shows in the coffee. We got the flight with the pan dulce and it was a little over 50 dollars. The owner explained the coffee and asked us what we thought after. We got the lavender cream, banana brûlée, la friducha, and the orange espresso. The banana brûlée was truly the winner out of them all. Soft and not overpowering with banana. The rest were all good. If you get the orange espresso maybe drink that one first cause it does water down because it's iced. The inside is very clean and cozy. I can't wait to be back. This would be a fun setting with friends or a cute little morning date. Also the coffee hit which is a plus.
I was actually very excited to try out Frida Cafe. The first thing I noticed when entering the cafe is the nice warm interior. The staff is friendly and welcoming which is a huge plus. But unfortunately the drink that I got was unpleasant for me. I decided to try a recommended drink from the barista and that was a Banana Brûlée iced Espresso. I did substitute whole milk for oat milk as it's their only offered milk alternative. The drink came out to around $10, which is insanely expensive for a latte. The drink itself was underwhelming and I did not enjoy the banana flavor or got any flavor from the white chocolate. I was very disappointed with my drink that I took a few sips and it went straight to the trash. Would I give this place another try....... no. Unfortunately the very high prices and the underwhelming drinks are not it.
This was my 2nd time here! I brought my mom and uncle it was there first time. We went to check out their new drink menu based on casa azul in Mexico City. We ordered orange espresso, la friducha, and white rose. I enjoyed la friducha (cafe de olla w/ oat milk iced). It tasted exactly how it thought it would. The orange espresso perfect for my uncle. A hint of orange taste. The white rose was good too. My mom said the white chocolate was light but she enjoyed the sweetness overall. We ordered 2 empanadas (vanilla and pumpkin) and they were toasty, delicious. The staff was kind! They suggested drinks and check up on us. The ambiance is nice. Mexican/latin music playing. During the evening/night, the place turns into beespoke, a bar. In the mornings, it's Frida cafe! If you're a cold person, I suggest to bring something light to wear to not be cold. It was a nice way to start a Sunday morning.
Only reason for the 4 stars. I work at 7am and do not get off until 330pm so the 9am-2pm hours doesn't really work for me. - Ambiance- It is so cozy and decorated beautifully for Christmas! Like a Brownstone coffee shop. It is also the Bespoke bar at night which i have not been to! - Coffee- I ordered the smoked vanilla and it was delicious. I'd love to know what makes it red though. Their drink is a little pricey- Almost $10 for a 12 oz...but it was delicious nonetheless.
This place was cool...but they are 100% not equipped to be serving coffee to the masses (see pic) great menu, great vibe.....way too small of an espresso machine. BUT, after the long wait, my Banana Brulee was actually delicious. Staff members were sweet despite being overwhelmed which says a lot.
An experience, not just coffee My wife and I had an amazing experience at Frida Cafe. This was far more than just grabbing a cup of coffee; it was an educational and thoughtfully curated experience. We ordered the Frida Flight, which included four coffees: Lavender Cream, Smoked Vanilla, Banana Brûlée, and Black Honey. What truly stood out was the time the owner spent with us, walking us through each selection, explaining the flavor profiles, and helping us think through when each coffee would be best enjoyed throughout the day. That personal interaction made the experience feel intentional and genuine. Each flavor had its own distinct profile, and we actually found ourselves deciding which ones we would choose based on the time of day. My personal favorite was Banana Brûlée. It reminded me of wanting dessert after a great meal, while still craving an espresso. It felt indulgent yet still delivered that espresso punch. My son ordered the Puerto Rican Libre and absolutely loved it. The flavors were bold, smooth, and well balanced, and the presentation matched the care that clearly goes into creating each drink. From the creativity of the menu to the time invested in crafting and explaining each coffee, it is obvious this place is driven by passion and pride.
The most warm, welcoming, & unique atmosphere in Fresno! The moment you step foot through the door you are immersed into a place that makes you feel like you're not in Fresno (in a good way.) It has a very homey feel & ambiance as if it's a café inside your own home. The staff & everyone inside treats you like they've known you forever. Definitely an experience locals must try! Will be coming back to try their innovative drinks. Smoked Vanilla: 10/10 (on the strong side) Concha: 10/10 (my 1yr old loved it) El Jazmin: 7/10 (less sweet)
Walking in and first impression: the place is adorable, clean and modern. It lends a space that is very intimate and inviting. Alyssa was our server. Alyssa is knowledgeable about espresso, how to achieve a proper pull, listening to her educate a fellow employee in a very kind, warm and educating manner, while providing a thorough explanation of how to and why to do things in a certain manner. Her explanation helped myself understand from a distance about espresso and the do's and don't s to achieve the perfect product. I always ask servers for their recommendations. Alyssa gave us two of her recommendations and gave us complete clarity regarding the smoked vanilla shot with paprika. Knowing my open pallet and the fact that I am very open to earthy and knew things that was a definite must try. When Alyssa served us our flight she sat down and provided a very thorough explanation of where all the beans, flowers and bread are sourced and explained it is basically a taste of Fresno. The flavors chosen for the flight. Banana: very much like banana taffy flavor. Very good and sweet banana flavoring that was muted delightfully when adding the espresso. The lavender: I'm a huge fan of lavender and it was bright, floral and milky, everything was searching for with good lavender flavoring! It was delicious both before and after the addition of the espresso. The almond citrus: it was very almond forward which was bright, and floral also with a slightly sweet finish and almost tasted like eating a scrumptious pastry. The smoke vanilla was served strikingly with a smoked cinnamon stick on top. It was bright, warm, earthy, and slightly spicy on the back end. This drink was my favorite and it the milk helped smooth the notes out completely balancing it. The flight was stunning to look at and taste. Service was SUPERB and educational with local sourcing information. Would I return: ABSOLUTELY!!! read more

Such a cute spot in the shared space with Bespoke bar. Comfy couches, cute bar, excellent presentation. It wasn't very busy on a Thursday morning around 11. We walked up to the order counter where they have a menu explaining all their drinks. The owner helped us with which drinks were on the sweeter side and which were not. My friend and I opted for a banana brulee and a chai. We also ordered one of their bagels with in-house made cream cheese with orange zest. The chai was absolutely amazing, best in town in my opinion. The banana latte was a little on the sweet side for my taste, but the owner graciously added another shot of espresso to my drink to even it out. There are so many interesting flavors on the menu that I will definitely be back to try another one. The bagel was good, but I think I might go with the more savory one if I ordered food again, or maybe try the pan dulce next time. And there most definitely will be a next time! read more
Vibes? Check. Customer service? Check. Quality? Check! Been wanting to try this place for quite some time and finally got around to it! We went a little too close to closing time so didn't get to hang around as long as we'd like, although they didn't make us feel rushed to leave either. But, our short-lived experience was enough to want more, honestly. The look, the feel of the cafe, all the decor, the artwork/paintings, and even the music... we loved it. The staff was super friendly, patient with us, answered all our questions, and gave us great suggestions. Wish we knew we needed a reservation in order to try the Frida Flight but it made sense once she explained to us why. At least now we know for next time!! We both got the Lavender Cream with oat milk (hot) and one pan dulce to share... if we weren't planning on eating afterwards, I'd def had gotten my own because it was delish! Not too sweet, perfect texture and fluff. The drink was really good as well. Not too strong on the lavender that I was still able to taste the espresso through that and the milk. It would have been perfect if we'd gotten to try a few of the flavors at once (the flight) but at least what we ordered didn't disappoint. Because we were there close to closing time, we noticed the staff as they were cleaning and taking down certain decor (frida related) and replacing it with others. At first we were confused until we found out that that spot was actually a bar (Bespoke) by night! Now, I'm really curious to check the bar out some time. Any way, I hear they will have their own location soon and I look forward to seeing what they do with the place when it happens! Until then, if you're able to catch them during business hours... I really loved this place, walking inside the whole vibe was just welcoming and relaxing. Sadly, they were sold out of pan dulce but we ordered their version of "Mexican hot chocolate" coffee and added a shot to it. It was really good!! We did pay about $34 for two iced coffees which was a bit pricey for us but they were so smooth and delicious. Service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and I loved how the whole menu was explained to us. Definitely willing to try again and hopefully next time get a coffee flight! read more

We made a quick stop here on our road trip to Yosemite, and it ended up being another highlight to our trip. The coffee drinks were incredible, and we had the chance to chat with the owner and hear more about his journey. You can feel the intentionality behind every part of this place from the atmosphere, to the care and detail in each drink, to the genuine passion for the craft of coffee. So frida's cafe is set up in Bespoke the bar during the day. The ambiance is amazing with frida pics hanging and books about Fresno on tables. I really love the vibe and customer service. I brought my sister in law here and she loved it too. I got the agave chai and a Mexican bread. The drink was a beautiful blue and served in a glass. It was creamy sweet and yummy. It is a little pricier than most places but so worth it. The presentation for the drinks and bread was a nice touch. A must visit coffee shop if you are downtown. read more
I really wanted to love it here. I may have just went on a bad day. Arrived at 9 when they open and there were already people waiting outside for them to open the doors. It was about 10 minutes for them to actually let people in. We ordered 2 iced banana brûlée lattes. It took about 40 min to get our drinks and when we did get them, they were made hot not iced. I just ended up taking them as is. The latte was more warm rather than hot. I really enjoyed the flavor of the banana, however, the coffee flavor was really light and not really coming through. It was kinda pricey for a latte and I'm not sure it was worth the price. The inside is super cute and I did love the interior and vibe of it all. I might have to give it another chance in the future. read more
The person taking our order was so nice! He was patient and explained the flavors and everything. I ordered the banana brûlée hot with pan dulce and my friend ordered the same thing, but iced. The flavors, freshness, and presentation were 5 stars! 10/10!! In fact, the whole place was beautifully decorated and smelled really good. The only reason I'm giving a 3 star overall rating is because it took longer than 15 minutes to get our orders and my hot drink was lukewarm. If the flavor wasn't as amazing as it was, I would have been super disappointed in the drink. Not only was it $9, but I paid an extra $1 to make it decaf. The concha pan dulce was $5. Overpriced and not worth the price, but worth the 1 time experience I suppose. Also, there is very limited seating. Don't come here with more than 3 people, especially later in the morning. Parking was also tricky unless you get there in the morning. read more

I've been a patron of Frida Cafe since they were at Los Amigos restaurant. The beautifully colored drinks and flights were what first drew me to them. I keep going back because of the exceptional service and quality of the drinks. Their current location is a whole vibe and great for any coffee date. 4/16/25 Hot and New! Getting a drink to enjoy! Arrived! Such a Great atmosphere! Greeted by kind worker and he said the most popular he recommended is the lavender. Ordered that with oat milk, paid for it and he said it would be ready shortly. Very kind and welcoming. Waited at a chair. Very calm & relaxing atmosphere with music playing. He is great! Even let me have a sample lavender shooter before he made my lavender with the espresso added. DELICIOUS sample! Definitely fancy! Love! Received order shortly later with Good day wishes! First time at Frida Cafe and it was amazing. We decided to try Frida Cafe today in Downtown Fresno and were honestly impressed. I ordered the Banana Brûlée iced, and it was packed with flavor--even as someone who's not really a coffee person, I loved it. We also tried La Friducha, which had a very unique taste. Funny enough, we always thought it was black, but it's actually green, which made it even more interesting and memorable. For the kids, we ordered the Mayan Xoco, and it was amazing as well--definitely kid-approved. One thing we were a bit unsure about at first was whether kids were allowed since it's inside a bar, but yes--it is kid-friendly. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, making it a great spot to do work, homework, or just relax and read a book. Overall, great drinks, unique flavors, welcoming vibe, and family-friendly. Absolutely a positive experience here!! The staff is so welcoming, the interior is really nice, parking is easy (in the morning), and the drinks themselves were beautifully made. The man that took our order was very passionate about the menu and spent time going over each item with us! I'm sure it would be easier to have longer descriptions instead of talking to each customer (especially if the line is long) , but I love that he took the time to explain the differences and making sure we got something we'd like. Here's what we got: (Hot) Smoked vanilla (4.5/5): (the red drink) This one was good! It was a pretty safe option since we were scared of trying something new; just think coffee with a secret ingredient. Presentation included a cinnamon stick laid on top! (Iced) Agave Chai (5/5!!): We literally ordered two of these because they were so good. It's light, sweet, refreshing, and that gorgeous blue color. If you have a sweet tooth, you would love this. If you don't have a sweet tooth, you would (probably) still love it! I think this one is an absolute must-try if you happen to be in the area & I would come back for this drink alone!! Also... the drinks came out with a fancy thick napkin AND on a tray which was so nice! I did want to mention that prices are a little steep at $9, but the experience itself was great and I would say it's worth the price! Wait time is also a bit longer, but they make the drinks in shakers and put a lot of care into each drink so I totally don't mind. :) read more

Thinking this is a temporary location for this cafe, sharing with bespoke in the AM. Considering this , such a great experience, the vibe of this place, the customer service and the food/coffee is so unique, yummy and comforting. This place is a game changer as far as cafes go. Which there were more choices but u think this is like I said not the end spot for this cafe and they're making due and the best with the situation. Really loved it read more

Pros: beautiful interior. Thoughtfully curated coffee bar. The drinks are beautiful and delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcoming environment. Cons: my coffee was lukewarm. It's also on the pricey side. My drink was a little over $10 for a 12oz drink. There was a long wait time for our drinks. Overall, I'll probably visit again. A great spot to meet up for drinks with friends if you don't drink alcohol. Definitely not a place you want to go if you're just trying to grab a coffee to go. read more

This a a beautiful coffee spot with a vibe of the bar. The craft drinks are thoughtful, delicious and memorable. The coffees are small and double the normal price of any competitor but we'll worth the quality. Great atmosphere for reading or a date. read more

Had a girls day and came in for the first time. The cafe is absolutely beautiful. The service is outstanding. We orders the flight. The owner of the cafe came and sat with us and explained the drinks. The ingredients, where they come from, and was just super welcoming and kind. The concha is warm and fresh. The whole experience was amazing. So worth it. Plus you can take cute pictures. read more

Absolutely lovely place! Gave a sort of speakeasy aesthetic that I love. I wish I had taken photos of the inside but rest assure the vibes are very much it! Service and food were equally great. The banana brûlée was not too strong and sweet, which I liked. read more
