My boyfriend gets me roses from Frey Florist and they're usually soo beautiful, however Mother's Day was a disappointment. I paid around $95 for flowers which some were already going bad and they looked way better online. I get that flowers are expensive on holidays and I don't mind paying the price but it was disappointing to see that the pictures were misleading. I also don't know how any business would be comfortable giving flowers when some are clearly going bad (you can't really tell in the picture) but I felt like I paid for stop&shop quality. I couldn't tell if that's what their supplier gave them or if the flowers were prepared days in advance, but I was embarrassed giving these to my boyfriend's mom. I didn't feel like calling to complain because they're a small business and I know holidays are stressful. They deliver excellent customer service and usually have very beautiful flowers, so I would still recommend this business. read more

I was looking to purchase a remembrance plant for a close friend after the loss of her husband, and had to call around to several florists to find someone who could get a nice palm plant to be delivered the next day. The woman I spoke to at Frey was very helpful and patient during such an emotional time, and was able to answer all of my questions promptly and professionally. They provided a beautiful, healthy palm tree delivered the next day and made sure someone was home so it would not sit on the porch in the bitter cold. Received a bouquet yesterday from Frey. The amount of blossoms in this bousquet was so generous that I was actually able to make four separate arrangements and put flowers in every room. Additionally my friend who ordered the flowers called from London. Frey could have been less than generous since my friend would have had little recourse. Well I don't know what the budget wise, receiving a bouquet with 8+ Lillys not yet bloomed, I have a dozen long stem yellow roses, multiple Gerber daisies, and five or six other specimens was above and beyond. Three words "Above and Beyond!" Frey Flowers saved my girlfriend's birthday from being totally ruined! I originally wanted to use Frey's and have flowers delivered to my girlfriend's place of work on the day of her birthday, but when I called, I found out that the last delivery truck for that area had already left. So I asked them to refer me to a flower shop near my girlfriend to make the delivery instead. Unbeknownst to them, the flower shop ended up being absolutely horrible. They delivered slightly wilted flowers and the owner of the shop yelled at my girlfriend when she called to complain, personally insulted her, insulted me, and threatened to kill himself! I kid you not!! He refunded my money, but now I was left with crappy flowers and an upset girlfriend on her birthday. I called back Frey's and told them how terrible this flower shop was and they felt horrible. Without me asking, Frey's offered to make me a bouquet free of charge! All I had to do was pick it up! If that isn't good business, I dunno what is! I went down, picked up the flowers, hand-delivered them to my girlfriend at work, and I saved the day! Thanks Frey's! I was looking for a nursery that could supply a terracotta plate for my struggling chili pepper plant and had called about 4 other local garden supply stores didn't have stock in it. I then called Frey Florist and a man surprised me by asking me why I wanted the plate and then proceeded to dissuade me from purchasing it for my own good (the porous terracotta would have left a watermark on my woodwork). I was impressed that he challenged what I thought I needed in order to get me what I really need and so I took a chance and drove over. I'm so glad I did, because I got more than I ever expected to receive. The business is nestled in a residential neighborhood near PC, so you really need to look for it otherwise you will just pass right by. I walk in, everything is beautiful, verdant, smells fantastic with gorgeous flower displays intended for delivery to various lucky recipients. The florist found a less expensive plate than the original one I asked for that matched my pot perfectly for size, gave me a liner so that draining water wouldn't rot my woodwork, and then as I'm chatting about my hot pepper plant woes, spends a good 15 minutes instructing me: explaining soil, how the plant roots should look, potential problems and how I can visually inspect my plant for them, advised on the problem he thought I had (dry soil), and then recommended that I dig in there, break up the soil, compact it further and work on my watering technique. He assured me that I should see a result in 24 hours, and I'm happy to report that everything that he told me came to fruition (see before & after of the chili plant I posted). 5 stars for caring, knowledgeable service and especially for helping me keep my chili pepper plant alive. I gave him the price I was willing to spend, and he created a beautiful bouquet that far exceeded my expectations. In April, 2019, I asked Frey Florist to do the flowers for my wedding, and I only contacted them with about three weeks lead time. It wasn't a large order, but they still made me feel so special and like it was truly a creation just for me. I did phone consultations with Sarah, who understood what I wanted and made it come to life. When she was unsatisfied with the quality of one of the types of flowers they got for me, they upgraded me to ensure it was good. The flowers were incredible - hand picked and arranged in such a beautiful way - from the bridesmaids bouquets, to my own bouquet, to the lush garlands of greenery on the tables - they completely blew me and all of my guests away. Terrible experience. I ordered flowers for my college student on the phone. I told the sales associate that I wanted to order the Gerb Appeal arrangement from their website. It showed salmon and different shades of pink gerber daisies. The florist had my recipients email address from an online order a year ago. They e-mailed my student the sales receipt. They spelled the name incorrectly on the gift card and sent an awful looking arrangement of multicolored daisies. I called and was told that the person taking the order should have contacted me and told me that they did not have what I ordered in stock. I was then told that the correct flowers would be ordered in and delivered the next day. My student received them in tissue paper with no vase. When calling I was told that the original vase could be used. Terrible experience for what was supposed to be a back to the school surprise. read more

As far as friendliness and customer service go, they're excellent. It's a little local place and you can tell it's a really personal operation, everyone seems to really care and know what they're talking about. The Obama paraphernalia and leftist decorations might be a little over the top for some people's taste, but that's their prerogative. Anyway, I've dealt with Frey on many occasions for formal events at PC and buying flowers independently. I give them major credit for keeping track of hundreds of flower orders for occasions like commencement week, and running things smoothly and with a smile throughout. Unfortunately, I haven't had as much luck when I've ordered from them at other times. At least two or three times the flowers that were delivered were already stale/dying when they arrived at my girlfriend's that day, or wilted within a day of her receiving them. Sure it happens to the best, but here it's happened a bit too often just to dismiss. Another time the bouquet that was delivered was significantly smaller and less elaborate than the one I ordered and paid for (I agreed to let them substitute if the arrangement I selected was not available, but it was supposed to be near identical value). This being said, I still give them three stars because they are a nice, down to earth neighborhood business and most of the time you'll be fine ordering from them... just be aware of the potential issues, which may be more or less problematic depending on who you're buying the flowers for and why. read more

They were very knowledgeable about what flowers would look good, and were able to put together a really nice spread with a smaller budget. Delivery on the day of was on time, and they were very helpful with getting everyone their flowers. Set up at the reception hall looked amazing, and I got a lot of compliments on their work. I ordered a bouquet for a family member for sympathy. I went for the deluxe bouquet, paying extra. The family member sent a photo of received bouquet for thanks. The deluxe had at least 4 lilies, theirs had 1 lily, plus it was 1/2 the size of the shown bouquet. I was shocked at the difference and, obviously, disappointed. Was it because I was out of state? Since it was family and there was a possibility of future orders I felt that Frey was short sighted since there may have been future business. Not now. We paid the bill since we don't believe in hurting small businesses, regardless. read more
