I like huskies (dogs), but I love Husky Heating and Air Conditioning more! Our weather has been…read moredreadfully cold, with temperatures around the -25ºC mark, with the wind chill (-13ºF). Husky replaced our HVAC several years ago, and we never had a problem with our furnace. Last week, I noticed the temperature dropped a few degrees, and it took a long time for the heat to come back up. This never happened before, even when our weather was colder. I turned the furnace on and off, and restarted the thermostat, which did the trick, but I noticed it was misbehaving again. It was -26ºC this past weekend, and I called the afterhours service department. We discussed the situation and rates, but I made a judgement call to wait until Monday for a technician to visit. We had mini electric heaters in case the temperature dropped dramatically. On Monday morning, the office called to say our regular technician who I requested was unavailable, but they would send someone else right away. The furnace decided to play nice by the time the technician arrived - don't you hate when that happens? After checking the furnace and thermostat, he wasn't able to find any issues, but he did show me how to spot an error code for future reference. We always have our HVAC maintained by Husky, and find their service is friendly and efficient. I'm just grateful a technician came out so quickly, and that our furnace is working fine now!

We bought our air con and furnace from Husky a few years back…read more We noticed however this season we were getting some water on the floor behind the inside aircon unit. We called them late on Tuesday and they suggested they come and do a maintenance. They booked us for the following day. Glad we did. It turns out we had a blocked drain. Gregor cleaned it up and then then did a service on the unit. Was a very reasonable price and I feel like Husky really came through for us. No surprise there. Dmitri and his team did a great job on the original install. Highly recommend them for your air con and heating needs. They service the GTA. Note - they gave us a window for the service call and then called when they were on the way to us.

Questionable business practice bordering on fraudulent? Beware. If you have had work done by…read morehim, ask to see that he actually installed the proper parts! Have him open up the plenum to see that the A-coil is not some cheaper substitute that will VOID your warranty. Call him BEFORE your warranty expires! Read about our experience. He is a clever (cunning) salesman. Buyer beware! Fact: We hired "Max" and his company to replace our 20+ year old furnace and A/C. Fact: Max represented that the unit we purchased (Lennox) came with a 10-year manufacturer's parts warranty. Fact: We paid more than $5500+ for the unit. Fact: The unit ceased operating well within the warranty period. Fact: Lennox denied our warranty claim because Max failed to install the correct A-coil (he concealed from us that he did not install a Lennox A-coil but instead installed a lesser part that voided our warranty). Fact: Max continued to top up our unit with refrigerant to make it functional but denied any responsibility for the failure/leaking of the unit. Fact: Max blamed us for not "maintaining" the unit, notwithstanding that we had cleaned the unit annually. Fact: Lennox verified that there was no requirement to carry out any formal maintenance to maintain their warranty. They further confirmed that the warranty was voided solely due to the actions of Max and his company. Fact: No fewer than two HVAC companies have assessed the a/c unit and determined that the A-coil had prematurely failed. Fact: One HVAC company advised that Max used lines (pipes) that were too small for the size of the a/c condenser unit and this also contributed to the failure of the a/c. Fact: Max used lines (that carry refrigerant) that were 5/8 diameter. The independent a/c expert advised that the lines were too small and that the size 3/4 diameter should have been used. Fact: Max has repeatedly engaged in aggressive conduct -often yelling at us when attending at our home. Rude. Fact: Max has made racially insensitive comments while at our home. Fact: Max contractually provided his personal warranty for labour and 10 years for parts but has failed to live up to his obligations. Fact: We have given Max many opportunities to make this right be he refused to acknowledge his responsibility. Fact: We have no option but to seek the assistance of the courts and to let others know about our experience with him.

I called Max Aire in the morning and Max arrived at the promised time in two hours. The furnace was showing a major error based on the code of the flashing lights - that turned out to be an error itself - there was no real error. It became clear that all the furnace needed was rebooting - switch off the power and then power it up. I recommend trying that before calling for a repair - next time I will do that. This cleared the error lights. He examined the system and asked some questions and suggested some changes but I chose to stay with things as they are. He exerted no pressure and the charge was fair.
