They strictly abide by these rules. I can only comment on the services that I use here. I've received vouchers in the past and gotten animals fixed for $30. If I foster, I will come here and get them assessed, dewormed, vaccinated along with flea and tick preventative. This is free of cost since I'm taking the responsibility of fostering instead of leaving them there at the shelter. They also offer me free food but I decline so it can go to someone who really needs it. Foot traffic varies. I've been here half a day or sometimes it takes no time at all. They make it very clear to people who surrender and drop off that the animal is at risk of euthanasia. They are always at critical capacity so if you are looking for a companion I always encourage to adopt and not shop or alternatively, fill out their foster application as they are always looking for foster ppl to save more animals and all supplies are provided.

I was told both verbally and in writing that I had seven (7) days to notify the rescue of any medical issues. Within that seven-day period, I notified them in writing that my newly adopted Persian cat developed yellow eye discharge, squinting, and signs concerning for an eye infection, which is not typical Persian tearing. I also notified the rescue of my concerns regarding delayed or limited access to medical treatment, as prompt veterinary care is important to prevent unnecessary suffering. Despite reporting the issue within the stated timeframe, I was informed that no veterinary costs would be covered, and that treatment would require returning the cat to the shelter rather than allowing local veterinary care. Based on the condition that appeared shortly after adoption, I felt misled by being told the cat was in "good health." While I am not saying this was intentional, the information provided did not align with my experience once the cat was home, which was concerning. I share this so future adopters can make informed decisions. Please be cautious, especially when adopting brachycephalic or exotic breeds such as Persians, which are prone to eye and respiratory issues. Clarify in writing what "good health" means and what medical support, if any, is provided after adoption.

I'm sure I could buy less expensive food online but I prefer to purchase in person. I feel like they offer a bit more cat products since they moved to this location a couple years ago. They used to be located by the rail road tracks in what looked like a big red barn. The new location seems more spacious and a lot better IMO since it's not as cold and more parking. The service is always great cus the employees are always knowledgeable. They even have a rewards program with some dog food. I think it's buy 10 bags or buy 15 bags get the next free? Something like that. It has to be the same bag same weight tho. Still good if ur grabbing the same shit. The last time we went we changed our dogs dog food cus he was having bad allergies. There was a lady there that worked with the brand Red Barn (how funny I brought up red barn earlier lol) and she helped us out a lot. We ended up choosing that brand n got grain free and she gave us a $10 off coupon I forgot how much it was but that was deals... she also gave us a free canned food version and a coupon for the dry food topper for free. So we got all that for the discounted dog food price cus of the coupons. Fuckkn awesome man!!!

When our 14-year-old cat, Khloe, suddenly became lethargic and not herself, we were very concerned…read more Our regular veterinarian was unavailable until the next day, and given her age, we didn't feel comfortable waiting. Armstrong Animal Hospital was able to get us in within about three hours, which we truly appreciated. Because Khloe is a senior cat, the doctor recommended being thorough. They performed a full exam, bloodwork, X-rays, and a urinalysis to rule out anything serious. All of her results came back normal, which was incredibly reassuring. Dr. Sunamar Deol took the time to explain the results clearly and walk us through what they meant, rather than just listing numbers. Dr. Deol explained that they would treat the situation conservatively as an upset stomach and nausea, and prescribed exactly what Khloe needed without over-treating. We felt listened to, informed, and supported throughout the visit. Nothing felt rushed or dismissive, and the plan made sense based on her symptoms and test results. One week later, Khloe is completely back to her normal self -- eating and drinking well, sleeping with us again, and showing her full personality. We're very grateful for Dr. Deol's thoughtful care and Armstrong Animal Hospital's ability to step in quickly when we needed help. We would absolutely recommend them, especially for senior pets who need careful, attentive evaluation.

Restored My Trust After a Tough Situation - Thank You Armstrong Pet Hospital…read more I wanted to share my recent experience with Armstrong Pet Hospital. There was an incident following a procedure with my cat Rocket that left me feeling upset and worried. However, the way the team handled it afterward truly impressed me and restored my confidence in them. They called personally to apologize, took full responsibility without excuses, and provided a very generous credit on our account. When Rocket unfortunately pulled out some of his stitches and needed urgent aftercare (including sedation and staples), they took excellent care of him and didn't charge us at all for that visit. The doctor even came out, shook our hands, and sincerely expressed how sorry they were. It really meant a lot--their accountability, compassion, and professionalism turned a difficult situation around completely. I felt genuinely heard, and now I feel much better about continuing to bring Rocket here for his care. Things can go wrong in veterinary medicine, but it's how they're addressed that matters most. Armstrong Pet Hospital stepped up in every way, and I'm grateful for their integrity and kindness. Highly recommend them--they've earned my trust back! (5 stars)

The service has gone down hill. The fish department is just... yikes. I've been in several times this month as I'm setting up and cycling a new tank. I purchased the tank here and wish I hadn't trusted them so much. I got the tank to start a neocaradina colony. This tank is not suitable for neos and was missing parts such as intake guard and beta flow nozzle. It's loud as hell indicating something isn't right. They said 30 day return policy but failed to mention the tank had to be unused in its original packaging. Sooooo my shrimp tank is missing key parts and is loud as hell but these tanks are typically quiet. Annnnnnd it's not suitable for shrimp. Also no one asked if I needed help I had to hunt someone down which seemingly annoyed them. The cashiers have always been friendly and helpful. Fish department is just... not what it used to be. When I asked where the neos were the guy just pointed down the row of fish and said, they're down there. Okay... lots of possibilities but okay. Good luck getting help with the aquatic plants. I was also severely disappointed to see Whitie's beta care. They have overly small tanks with betas which just keeps reinforcing improper beta care. On top of that the bettas that aren't in a tiny display tank are in even smaller cups than Petsmart! They can't even swim in a circle they are literally in small drinking cups. Most of them show signs of distress like fin clamping and their water was gross. This isn't okay. It's not terribly difficult to start a beta rack. They have such good care for their other animals. This was disappointing to see especially because they have other aggressive fish in proper sized tanks. Overall disappointing to see this and totally irritated to buy a 200.00 tank to learn it has missing parts and a return policy that was not at all clear. I hope they get their poops in a pile because this experience left a bad taste in my mouth in what has otherwise been a classic store my whole life!
