We adopted our second dog from the Fresno Bully rescue and they were nothing but professional. The adoption process was straightforward and all of our interactions have been wonderful. It's amazing that anyone is leaving these bad reviews for an organization that does so much to help the mistreatment and reputation of pit bulls.

PitBull Heaven!!!! I live up in Oregon and volunteer three days a week for the Oregon Humane Society! I've fallen in love with the breed! I've been following FBR on FB and Instagram for almost a year! They do an amazing job of posting daily information! It keeps me hooked! So, I had to check them out when I was home for a visit. They do an excellent job of representing a positive image for the bread! These people all have full time jobs and volunteer at FBR! Bridgett and Tiffany were super accommodating! I had been in contact with them sending emails and FB posts stating I was super excited to check them out! When I arrived last week they did an impromptu volunteer training for me! So, I can walk pitties whenever I'm in Fresno! It was so nice of them! They're located in a great secluded spot near a picturesque almond orchard! They house about 45 bully breed dogs at a time and adopt out about 10 dogs a month! These people deserve a lot of credit for all the work they for the breed! Working with limited funds is challenging! I would spend all my time here if I lived in Fresno!

My awesome dog Cosmo I adopted at FBR!

Great no kill shelter! The place is clean and well run. I love going there and walking dogs! Makes me feel good and I am helping out!! I ended up adopting an older dog Cosmo from here! I LOVE HIM! Best dog ever! So happy I found this place and I now have the best dog in the world! I will keep going and helping out!!

We adopted our beautiful and loving Diego from Fresno Bully Rescue. They truly love the bully's that they rescue. We are so blessed with our puppy. He truly is a family member. He is able to break the barriers of race, and gender. Strangers will come up to us to meet and pet him. He has brought so much love and happiness to our lives. Thank God there are people who care about this loving and affectionate breed. They are so wonderful with children. My 3 year old nephew says Diego is his best friend. They're like two peas in a pod.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Fresno Bully Rescue was with the adoption of my boyfriends dog. From start to finish they wanted to make sure it was a good match all the way around. We adopted Lulu (American Bull dog) whom had been return a few times to the rescue which they were very forth coming on why and all their knowledge of possible issues for her. From the first phone call, our first visit to the rescue's location and the home check it shone through that these folks really care about these dogs. I'm proud to say that Lulu is thriving and her new daddy is still absolutely in love with her and over the moon. We will be skipping x-mas gifts this year in order to try and make a decent donation to these wonderful humans. Thanks again for not giving up on Lulu or the many other dogs you care for. Know you've made a dramatic difference in our families pack. Much love the you folks.

They are really great there. The place is huge clean and the dogs are well taken care of, but of course they always need help and donations.

They strictly abide by these rules. I can only comment on the services that I use here. I've received vouchers in the past and gotten animals fixed for $30. If I foster, I will come here and get them assessed, dewormed, vaccinated along with flea and tick preventative. This is free of cost since I'm taking the responsibility of fostering instead of leaving them there at the shelter. They also offer me free food but I decline so it can go to someone who really needs it. Foot traffic varies. I've been here half a day or sometimes it takes no time at all. They make it very clear to people who surrender and drop off that the animal is at risk of euthanasia. They are always at critical capacity so if you are looking for a companion I always encourage to adopt and not shop or alternatively, fill out their foster application as they are always looking for foster ppl to save more animals and all supplies are provided.

It's Easter Sunday. I am on a road trip with my elementary school age daughter and we stop in…read moreFresno for lunch. We also happened to stop at a random nearby park to eat lunch and let my kid play before we finish the last 3-4 hours of our trip. There was a skinny pit bull wandering around with a leash wrapped around its neck. A few people told me that someone had driven up to the park, opened the door, shoved it out and peeled off. This happened not 5 minutes before we got there. What is wrong with people!? No one and I mean NO ONE at the park wanted to take responsibility for it, and I simply could not leave it there. I took the dog to an Emergency Vet's office but of course it didn't have a microchip and they claimed they couldn't take it in, not even overnight until it could go to animal control the next day. So I'm STUCK! It's Easter Sunday so EVERYTHING is closed. It's already rough to try and get help on a Sunday, doubly so for Easter Sunday. I sat in the car with the dog and my young daughter and made at least 30 calls to every single vet's office, rescue, and animal organization I could find to try and find someone who could at least take the dog overnight until animal control opened the next day. I absolutely could not take the dog home with me on my road trip as we have a dog who doesn't get along with other dogs. Also, what if it turned out it wasn't the owners who pushed it out of the car, but someone else? Maybe the true owner was still looking? It wouldn't be fair to take it hundreds of miles away. 99% of the phone calls were not answered and the very few that did could not take a dog for one reason or another and referred me to animal control. I was getting desperate, I'd already spent two hours trying to find some place for this dog to go. I was beginning to think the unthinkable: that I'd have to just tie it up somewhere in the shade and call the police non emergency number to let them know about this dog. I had to get back on the road as I had a time commitment. I was so lucky that someone with Animal Compassion actually happened to answer the phone on Easter Sunday and doubly lucky that someone was there who could decide to take the dog for me. We were there in 15 minutes and they were able to take the dog and I'm so very grateful to them for helping out this sweet, abandoned soul. I hope she finds a good home. Thank you, Animal Compassion for really caring about animals!!
