I got their Happy Hour Special which consisted of a Large Strawberry Banana Smoothie for $5.99 (the happy hour runs from 2pm-5pm). The smoothie is made with fresh strawberry, banana and yogurt. The other day, I wanted to get something from Freshii for dinner and eat back at my hotel room. I did a search on my GPS and found this location. This Freshii is in a small plaza with a limited number of parking spots. Folks need to look back before pulling out of a spot! As I was backing into one, a woman tried backing out, which could have hit my car! Luckily, nothing happened. There are a number of eateries here that cater to the university crowd. I walked in and had to wait before placing my order. There were three staff members working hard. I ordered a Zen bowl with tofu. It's essentially brown rice and a bunch of veggies in a green coconut curry sauce, sprinked with coconut flakes. I loved this bowl. It was light and flavourful. There was a lot of it. This location is walking distance from WLU and has on site parking in the plaza and clean washrooms. Their portions are large and understandable considering the price. I had my usual pangoa bowl....I omitted the cheese and added walnuts and tofu. There was not enough bbq sauce to flavour the meal so part way through I asked them to add more...which they happily did. My son ordered the Tex mex burrito with chicken. It was huge and the tortilla was broken at the side with all the filling coming out. It was very difficult for him to eat and he did not enjoy it. He also said it didn't have any flavour. A healthy bang for your buck! I got the Oakaka (probably spelling that wrong) rice bowl with added chicken for $1.50. Keep in mind everything there is vegetarian, so adding protein will always be extra. Service was friendly and quick, meal was very healthy (black beans, rice, kale, corn), tasty, and filling. Total came to just over $11, so you really can't complain. I did takeout, but the atmosphere for eating in is pretty nice and modern. Would definitely recommend, check it out! read more

My experience was better then expected, which is always nice ! Not that I didn't think it would be good, it just went above my expectations. I went because I wanted something quick for my Husband and I but also healthy (I mean actually healthy food). That's exactly what I got but I also got a great experience from the women at the counter, she was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We actually shared one of the bowls and I also got a box of the energy bites (2 per box). The bowl was huge and packed with amazingly fresh ingredients, brown rice, pickled cabbage, corn, and many other fresh vegetables! Everything was so delicious and it was made very quickly! One of the healthier options available for students in waterloo! Ive been here a couple of times and on my last visit I ordered the oaxaca bowl with added chicken. Overall the bowl is very good, the dressing is delicious and the veggie combo works well. As a meal, I don't think it'd be filling if you don't add some kind of protein. I think for around $11.50 it's a bit on the pricy side for campus food, but still nice to treat yourself once in a while for something healthy and yummy. We came around lunch time so service was a bit slow but not a big issue. The place itself is nicely lit, has free WiFi, and has a good ambience to it. Will be back! read more

Went in on Thurs June 8, at 8:59pm. When I entered, one of the customer told me that "we are closed" for this fast-food restaurant. Their employees which had the appearances of lazy workers, were too rude to say anything and giggled behind their counters; talking amongst themselves. I had to personally go up to them and ask "is it closed?", where they replied "yes, we close at 9:00pm". I guess these lazy employees must be looking very forward to their closing, going back home, and minimum wage salary. No "sorry we are closed", no communication, maybe they were trying to tell me through telepathy? This location had terrible customer service, and I was kicked out of the location; sad how they could not even serve one more even though the restaurant just barely hit closing. So glad we have a FRESH food place in Waterloo! At Freshii you can get salads, soups, rice bowls, wraps, frozen yogurt, smoothies and fresh juices. You can build your own whatever or there are pre-made items. It's a great lunch place and is in a great location (same plaza as Chatime and Thai Express). Prices are fair and the service is quick. I hope this business takes off and is a huge success once the school year starts as Waterloo gets all of its students back in the fall! read more

Walked into a Freshii looking for another restaurant (with a similar interior design) and thought it was the other restaurant. When I walked up and saw the menu I noticed it was different from what I was originally expecting. I asked the cashier where the other restaurant went, and she told me that it was closed for good and that I should order something from Freshii. Lo and behold, I discovered several days later that the other restaurant was in the same plaza, open as usual! I cannot believe that the cashier had the audacity to try to bamboozle an unsuspecting patron. TLDR: cashier lied to me to try to get extra business; avoid at all costs +1 for atmosphere. read more

A Fresh spot decked out in my favourite colours: Green & white!! Their salads, wraps, bowls, burritos and soups come with your choice of protein: tofu, steak, chicken, felafel or tuna. I ordered the Pangoa Bowl w/ tofu while my partner in crime ordered the Ninja Salad w/ Steak. We also ordered the Freshii Green Smoothie which was delishhhh! We waited for more than 15minutes for our orders. I thought this time was needed since the Ninja Salad was ordered with steak but when I asked "How much longer for the food?" they looked at each other dumbfounded. They haven't even started making our orders. With such service I requested our bill to be on the house. Request Granted. But they didn't look too happy. The food was mediocre while the smoothie was amazing!! The Ninja salad had wilted and browning lettuce leaves from top to bottom. To serve salads with such leaves early in the morning is a big no no. Waited ~8 minutes past when my order was supposed to be ready, and my name wasn't called. Asked the staff about the order and it was just sitting on their counter behind where customers can see.
