My mom was struggling physically/mentally and would just moan. One caregiver told her to be quiet multiple times. Another one refused to help because she had asked for too much help. One was busy on her phone and didn't bother to put my mom to bed so my mom fell asleep on her recliner. I tried to talk to the person assigned to me for staffing and she didn't answer texts/calls. I cancelled with her because the people that they were sending were so bad, that it was better to have no one. I got no answer till after the weekend and I was told that I needed to give more notice. I explained that I tried to give notice, but that person wasn't answering their phone. They sent one last person out that they claimed was their best and no one had every complained. After that person got my mom to sleep, she turned tv to the station she wanted (in room next to my mom) and then started calling friends on the phone and talking loudly over the tv. Find your own caregivers. Staffing agencies send people that couldn't get jobs on their own.

Dr. Contreras made me very comfortable, and she was very attentive to everything I was telling her about my health in general and about how I got to be limping so badly. Since that first day, Dr. Contreras has been doing regular evaluations of my health, which includes making sure my medicines are effective and have no negative side effects. I look forward to going for my appointments at Suvida Healthcare. My physical therapist, Adriana Salas, has designed routines of exercises for my legs, for which I go to the East Oltorf Suvida twice a week. The exercises have been very good for my legs. My legs are getting stronger and stronger. I spoke with the case manager from Capital Home Health for Austin home physical therapy after my intake by their physical therapist. The lady with whom I spoke called from Dallas and could not have been ruder. She took great enjoyment in speaking over me repeatedly, not allowing me to ask questions, not allowing me to question the referral, nor allowing me to question the number of days authorized. I ended up telling her she was fired after 10 minutes of this. Bottom line, if I allowed Capitol Home Health to treat me as they planned, my insurance company only authorized 3 days of treatment. Capitol Home Health wanted to treat me for six to eight weeks. While their contract states that you would only pay what the insurance pays, and wouldn't have to pay a copay beyond that, in this situation the bill would have been catastrophic and would have ended up being a court case.

We reported this incident immediately to HC. Alice, the owner contacted me and asked me to pay for the medical check using our homeowners policy. Are you kidding me, this was completely inappropriate - as they inspected our property before coming out and we were not the caregivers employer. We were losing our father and we were in no way financially responsible for this incident nor could we handle this kind of issue while facing the death of our father. I would definitely not recommend this company. I have been a healthcare administrator for over 30 years - and knew the procedures for employee incidents. This was so heartbreaking to have Alice to attempt to get us involved. I would not call this Heavenly Care........

One Medical is so amazing. Yes, you pay a membership fee, but then, YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE A DOCTOR. Like, the day you need to. Or, you do a video chat, or send your doctor a message that they actually respond to in a timely manner. The app is also super helpful and efficienct. They have this great feature that you can get immediate help for certain things like colds, yeast infections, or ordering a lab test. You fill out the information in the app, and someone gets back to you right away, putting in the lab visit or sending the rx to your pharmacy. I really don't think I have ever had medical access that is responsive and available when I need it. Their lab is open for drop ins throughout the day, and I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen. It is just really excellent service. I hope it stays this way!
