This was our third visit to Modern Plate and I think the food keeps getting better! The Only negative was the electric scooters and bikes flying by the outside tables and past the signs saying please walk your wheels. Don't let that deter you the place is fantastic, just be careful when you cross the sidewalk, or sit inside at the impressive bar!

The restaurant is in a small strip mall it seemed pretty clean and had seating and there was parking out front. The meat was great, the salad was good too and hummus was nice. If I wasn't uncomfortable placing orders I'd likely go more. Perhaps they should look into more automation so they don't have to deal with people

I'm still mad at this place because they gave me my eggs benedict order to go SIDEWAYS! I went there around Christmas time and went to the hostess station to order to go. I always tip, but I was a new customer and they didn't know me. The waitress was standing at an empty table reading a newspaper, with her "cute" lil santa hat on pointedly ignoring me, and the hostess wasn't much nicer. The waitress finally graced me with her attention, and when she gave me my egg order to go, I gave her a 3 dollar tip and said "Merry Christmas" I carried the order carefully back to my office, just the way she handed it to me, and when I got back to the office I opened it, AND THE DAMN THING WAS POSITIONED SIDEWAYS! HOW COULD SHE BE SO STUPID!!!! I mean eggs and muffin and canadian bacon and hash browns were just one jumbled goo of a mess. How could the cooks put something down on a counter and that stupid idiot of a dumb waitress grab it and throw it in a bag SIDEWAYS and give it to me like that? GAWD I will NEVER go back. read more

It did add up more than we wanted to spend and lots of plate on the table, lessons learned! I like cottage cheese and peaches. Cottage cheese was cold and they give a good serving size. I usually get the vegetarian one we ended up having to bring half of it back home lol! I like their side of fresh cut fruit. It must be in season because every piece were sweet even the grapes. My mom tried the mimosa and she liked it a lot. She drank it all with no problem. I had their coffee latte with unsweetened vanilla syrup and extra cream. It was very good. I would get it again. The omelets are 3-egg, heavy on the vegetables, and the Eggs Florentine had probably a whole tomato sliced and broiled and a good half-cup of spinach. Food is very mildly seasoned, but you can get hot sauce if desired. The hot fudge banana split was a vision: as much whipped cream as ice cream, sprinkles - best shared. The strawberry ice cream was notably good and the hot fudge was generous.

Such a cute little spot!!!…read more I was out driving and have really been craving bacon, eggs and potatoes and this place did not disappoint. After walking in I was quickly sat by a very friendly man and quickly after my even friendlier waitress came over and took my order. I ordered the hungry man's breakfast and was so happy when they told me they had gluten free toast as I've recently discovered I'm very sensitive to gluten. Not more than 10 min later my breakfast was out. I have absolutely 0 complaints about this breakfast. All of the meat was well cooked and tasted fantastic. I asked for extra crispy potatoes and they obliged. This was a 5/5 stop for and I'll be back for sure!!
