I popped into this lovely store on Monday afternoon because of the Fresh Produce name, which I had loved when younger. I stayed and bought because the charming sales gal was so helpful! It turns out that she shopped there two years ago on her birthday and then got a job there! I found darling things...so many wonderful beach chic things to choose from. Caveat emptor: This brand was bought out and relaunched a year or so ago. Returns are now ridiculously complicated. You have to request a return, use the code they email you to access the returns page, and then give them a reason why you don't like or want the item. Then they have to review your request (!) before they'll send you a return shipping label, for which they charge $8. It's a pity because I used to like their clothing, especially the styles and the cotton fabrics they use. read more

Cotton, they've got lots of great cotton clothing as well as other fabrics in cool/light/summery colors and the styles are comfortable and classic. The sales people are very helpful. I love this store! read more

This store carries very colorful clothing that is lightweight and travels well. There are many things that tourists would like as well, like flip flops, bathing suit coverups, and hats. My complaints are that the sales staff can be a little pushy--rushing you into a dressing room to try things on. Also, the clothing is fairly expensive. No bargains here. Lastly, I never like it when a store has no return policy. Fresh Produce will not give you a refund. They will only exchange the item for something else or give you store credit. So you better really love what you are buying. read more

Fresh Produce is great for beach season, or when you go to Hawaii. Now that I don't live in Hawaii anymore, I don't have much use for this style of clothing, but it's still really comfortable to have to lounge around the house in. I used to buy Fresh Produce at Nordstrom's before they had their own independent stores. Nowadays, Fresh Produce has its own stores in some exclusive areas and Laguna Beach is one of them. I went into the store today and noticed how the styles have changed to more stylish fashions, although the traditional beach wear styles are still around. It's all so pricey now so not sure if I'll pick up another Fresh Produce items anytime soon, but they last a long time. I still have about 4 pieces and have had them for years. The colors last through hundreds of washes too. 100% cotton!! read more

What I sent to Fresh Produce this morning: I am very disappointed. I received my order last evening of an Oxford shirt ordered in "peri" which in your photo appears a nice spring time light purple (there is actually a lilac flower that grows in the shade you have pictured) and NOT your "bayside" blue only to discover in the light of day that your shirt is mostly blue in appearance with just the faintest hint of purple. To add to this, I paid a premium price of $59.00 to buy a Fresh Produce, ordinary Oxford shirt only to discover that it is made in human rights violating China! Did you know that the communist Chinese actually have concentration camps full of millions of religious and "wrong thinking" prisoners and that the communist Chinese employee slave labor? Finally, I see in my invoice that any returns I make to Fresh Produce will have $7.99 deducted from the total I paid in good faith, for shipping! It goes without saying that I will not buy another Fresh Produce product. Additionally, as you can see, I write reviews and I will be posting this one to warn others of your product quality, where your product is produced, and your awful return policy. It looks as if I am stuck with a communist Chinese produced Oxford shirt in blue. read more

Went in on Christmas Eve to shop at Fresh Produce.and check out Laguna, after it's flood. Shops on Forest were busy with happy and relieved patrons. Restaurants busy, most shops back up and running. Ok, back to my time here, this is what I wear basically, any kind of long cotton drawstring yoga pants, t-shirts, long sleeve tops. I'm a casual kind of girl. I think they are coming down on their prices quite a bit. Got a knee length sleep wear kinda gown, very cute in Tangerine Was $75.00- marked down to $38.00, asked if I could pay $30.00 and she said Yes! Of course, we looove that! read more

I give them a 4 for the clothing selection and reasonable prices on most of the pieces. But a 0-Zero for customer service. The owner was rushing around the store telling the staff what needed to be done and not once acknowledged any of the customers in the store. None of the staff did either. I was there for 20 minutes looking and picking up clothes to try on. Surely one of the ladies working there would eventually ask how I was doing or if I needed help. Nope. The staff were too busy gossiping and stocking to help any customers and I even helped myself to a changing room. I guess if you know what you want and don't need a lick of customer service go here. read more

The clothes here are perfect for Southern California and reasonably priced for the quality. The review below regarding the color washing out on other clothes is because they are dyed after the garment is assembled. These clothes need to be washed separately if they are bright or dark colors, same as with any clothes that are cotton. The colors are vibrant and that is what makes them so beautiful. Bought a sundress here and I love it. 100% cotton and so comfortable. Bought another online I liked it so much. Well constructed and will last for years. read more

I am so upset and horrified at the way I was treated by the store manager. I was verbally abused by the store manager Holly. She thinks it's ok to yell and talk loudly over customers. Long story short: I'm very petite and went in to purchase a few fun dresses since I'm moving to the desert and need some cool Cotten dresses. After trying on many dresses I realized that I had to purchase only certain styles in extra smalls since most extra smalls were still too big. After getting them Home my husband looked at them in me and said I needed a smaller size. Fresh produce doesn't make smaller than an extra small. They make xxl but not xxs so I went Back to store and they told me it's their policy for only store credit. They told me Holly would help me by calling corporate office and seeing if they could bend the policy. I was told to call back in couple days. I did and holly was out. I called back today and spoke with holly that seemed to Forget all the above and had no idea what I was talking about. She told me she had to "get her brain around it" and was by herself in the store with customers there and would call me back. Few hours go by and I decided it was time to Call her back since I didn't have much faith she would be calling me back today. She offered me a refund for one of the two dresses but store credit for the other. I tried to ask why and she got rough with me. Told me I had called too many times and didn't seem to like her answer. She began talking loudly and talking over me not allowing me to speak. I tried to ask her a question and she told me No! She kept saying I didn't like her answer and I was to atop trying to find another way to get what I wanted. I was simply trying to ask her if she was the woman that helped me the day I was in the store. Reason why I wanted to know this was Because the woman that helped me the day I returned to the store to re-try in dresses, Admitted multiple times that the extra smalls simply weren't small enough. She was helpful and nice and i thought her name was Holly. I was trying to ask the store manager Holly if this was her. She wouldn't allow me to ask her or even talk or defend myself. I finally had enough of her ABUSE and yelled over the phone that she needed to let me talk and that she has a big mouth. She hung up. As expected she would. But I was literally being verbally battered by her and sat taking it for the phone call. Finally exploding. I won't ever go into this store. I'll never use the credit and won't use the dress and I'm not going to bother to fight for my right because Holly is a big mouthed bully. read more
