We are living in the AI era, yet this company still relies heavily on basic paper drawings instead of giving customers a proper 3D visualization of the finished closet. For someone doing a closet project for the first time, a paper drawing may not give you any real idea of what the finished cabinets will actually look like. You can easily approve a design and later realize that the layout, proportions, storage, or overall appearance is not what you expected. I worked with several other companies and designers, including Home Depot, California Closets, Costco closet providers, IKEA, and smaller independent companies. Even some very small companies use 3D modeling software. With those companies, I could actually see what I was buying before making a decision, which made the process feel much more professional and transparent. I went through several iterations of the design with this company, but it always seemed like something was missing. Another thing I noticed is that features that may be standard or commonly included with other companies--such as soft-close hardware, thicker panels, and other upgraded materials--can become additional upgrades here and quickly increase the final price. The home had already been cleaned before we received the keys, but it wasn't quite up to our standards, so we decided to hire a professional company to thoroughly go over everything before we moved in. At $89/hour for a move-in clean, I expected a very detailed and professional service. Our cleaner was genuinely lovely, kind, and pleasant to have in our home, and I enjoyed meeting her. Unfortunately, the quality and professionalism of the cleaning itself did not match what I expected at this price point. During the appointment, approximately 35 minutes of billable time was spent in personal conversation rather than cleaning. I certainly could have ended the conversation sooner, and I acknowledged that when I spoke with the company. At the same time, as the customer, I don't think I should have to manage how a professional cleaner uses the time I'm paying for. Afterward, my husband and I looked over the apartment more closely and found several areas that still needed attention. The floors were noticeably streaky, portions of the windows that were cleaned were left streaky and only partially completed, the window tracks were still dirty, and there was visible dirt remaining in areas of the guest shower. For a relatively clean, empty home, I simply did not feel the finished result reflected more than $300 worth of professional cleaning. I contacted WHB directly before leaving a review because I wanted to give them an opportunity to address my concerns. I do want to give their customer service team credit. Everyone I spoke with was kind and professional. They offered to send a different cleaner back to address the areas we weren't satisfied with. We declined because the purpose of hiring a move-in service was to have the home ready before we moved in, and at that point we preferred to finish the remaining areas ourselves. WHB ultimately offered a 15% adjustment to our invoice, which I appreciated. They listened to our concerns and made an effort to resolve the situation. As a first-time customer paying their premium move-in rate, I expected the initial service to reflect the level of quality and professionalism the company advertises.
