He said we didn't need a lot of the "upsell" in the other quote. Ben showed me what he thought we needed versus not; he took a lot of pictures and sent them to me. He also added a couple of minor items to his quote at no charge. On the day, Pedro (technician, young guy, very sharp) called ahead to let me know that he and a helper (didn't get his name) were inbound. They got in and out quickly. Pedro showed me what they'd done and explained. He took lots of pictures and a couple of videos and sent them to me. Ben dropped by to check on things. I asked Pedro if Top Star also did HVAC work (our longtime guy retired). He said no but he'd send me a name. I've put them on my calendar for biennial (every two years) maintenance visits.

I was quoted $99 over the phone for a sweep, but the visit was just a series of upsells. It started with a $1,400 rebuild quote, then the cleaning price dropped from $475 to $375 to $200. No thank you was my final answer. Then the kicker, an $80 "inspection fee"? No. I told him I would fight that, as I could inspect the chimney myself for free. It's a shame the field staff has to do the face-to-face dirty work for a management team that uses bait-and-switch pricing. I thanked him and he was on his way. I read lots of amazing reviews on Mundae and requested a service. They were so responsive and talked me through the process. It wasn't long before someone came out to take several tests that consist of an air sample outside and inside and an actual sample of the mold, and a walk around to see if they spot more mold anywhere else. The report came back quick and scheduling of the mold remediation was quick. 3 workers were sent and it took half a day total since it was just our upstairs that needed it. Everyone we encountered was friendly, kind, and informative. Responsive whether it was text, phone call, or email. Appreciate the speediness in which the issue was resolved and felt very pleased with the service. Also I can report back that since then no more mold has appeared. I highly recommend them and have their info saved in case I need them in the future but honestly I hope I really don't.

First time working with Texas Eagle AC & Heating and had a pleasant experience…read more Office Manager Ahmad was one of the quickest to response for a quote and answered my questions in detail. The quote for an AC inspection was very reasonable and he was very responsive in setting up the inspection even I contacted him via Yelp after business hours when I was ready to schedule. I was trying to make an informed decision of buying a townhome. After a prepurchase home inspection from Randall with RECON Home Inspections (also high recommended). Inspector suggested to have an electrician and an HVAC technician to have further inspection. The HVAC Tech arrived in its company van wrapped with its logo during the scheduled time. Around 45 mins prior to it, I got a text from TX Eagle about the arrival time. The HVAC Tech named Justin was very knowledgeable and thorough. He was patient to answer any questions I had and he used the human body and the heart as an analogy to explain the AV system to demystify it, so it was easy to understand and I appreciated it. He found the problem which half the evaporator coil were not working due to blockage that was why the temperature couldn't go down further than 76°f, which the home inspector pointed out prior but didn't know why. He also checked the duck in the attic and mentioned the firewall were torn down which needed to be sealed up to prevent fire coming in from another units as he used to be a firefighter. That also aligned with Randall the inspector told me during the home inspection. He also wrote the coil issue on the receipt of the HVAC inspection and it was available shortly after the inspection. Buying a house/townhome is very stressful and having a team of expertise was very helpful. I am so glad I found the right people to help with making an informed decision for such a huge purchase. I highly recommend Texas Eagle AC & Heating. You will be glad you go with them!
