Mamas turkey

Quick search for a sandwich shop leaving a friends house in Portland heading back to the Couve and this place came up, so glad I went! I ordered the mama's turkey sandwich and Eugene smoothie. Service was kind, vibe inside was relaxing and airy, great outdoor seating as well! The sandwich and smoothie were SO GOOD, I don't live nearby and I don't care, I will be back!

This cafe/store is ADORABLE! I found this hidden gem in an Oregonian article that listed local businesses that were donating to local + national immigrant advocacy organizations on 01/30/2026, so they earned a lifetime customer out of me because of that direct form of community solidarity! Thank you for being on the loving side of history! I love that they're tucked in the neighborhood & offer indoor + outdoor seating! The cafe menu is packed with delicious drinks, food, + sweet treats. I was gifted one of their house made almond cookies to go with my vanilla oat milk latte, which was incredible, they both were a 10/10! I also really appreciate how many local & organic brands they carry in their mini grocery store, I'm looking forward to trying their sandwiches because I will definitely be back to support them frequently!

Cute neighborhood spot with friendly staff and excellent smoothies! The outside patio area is a great place relax, eat & visit.

I've fallen in love with their gluten free pastries! They bake off different gluten free muffins each morning so they are warm, fresh and delicious! I've tried raspberry almond and banana chocolate chip, so good.

My first time visiting Portlandia!!! My airbnb person recommended this spot to hang while my place got ready. It's so super cute!!! The kindest and friendly greetings here.positive vibes and energy! My nephew lives here so I had him drop me off. He had a breakfast sandwich, pastrami and havarti sandwich and a green smoothie. I had a matcha tea and it was delicious! The service was top notch. I love supporting local businesses! I ended up staying for lunch and had this amazing yummy soup too! Ginger carrot soup omg!

This is my third time coming to this cute little place on Fremont. Right off Sandy Boulevard. I brought my husband here today. I had told him how wonderful their pastrami sandwich was. It was the first sandwich I ever ordered here. I loved it so much. Great sourktaut. This time I'm sorry to say it wasn't as good. First of all, they brought us the wrong sandwich. It didn't have any of the special sauerkraut or very much cheese on it. My husband didn't realize the kraut was missing and started to eat his because we were hungry. We were sharing a sandwich. Two or three minutes into eating, the gentleman at the front comes over and says oh wow that's the wrong sandwich. I look and say oh yes, no sauerkraut not much cheese. He said he brought the wrong one. Sorry about that. Started to walk away.My husband asked him if we could just get the kraut on the side. He went and got some and brought it to us. Cold kraut in a bowl. The sandwich is supposed to be hot with melted cheese. This was a disappointment. The pastrami was super tasty as before. I felt bad for my husband. He did not get the same experience. We did have a delicious smoothie that was called the Eugene smoothie. Service is OK. They are friendly. Still have a Small Fresh food and Italian pasta area. This is a drive from Camas for us. Not sure we will try again.

Very cute eatery and juice bar, offering healthy sandwiches, beverages and more. The cully kicker fresh pressed juice was good, a bit of spice from the ginger, some sweetness from the apple, overall a nice balance of flavors. The roseway punch smoothie was more on the sweet side with a simple fruit combination, it was yummy! Service was friendly, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating, with colorful decor and just a chill atmosphere overall. This place certainly lives up to its name.

Veggie sandwich on sourdough plus spicy mustard!

Best veggie sandwich I've ever had!! And I know sandwiches. I come here at least once a month for the freshest veggies ever. The hot pastrami and Mamas turkey are amazing as well. The staff and Owners are always friendly, welcoming, and engaged plus there are constantly new local artists on display each month! I made all of my coworkers fall for this place and you will too!

OMG, this is such a neighborhood gem and gift to Portland! This friendly little shop makes tasty and unique smoothies, sandwiches and treats with a healthy, locally sourced vibe. They also carry a host of convenience items that are super-local! It's like the convenience of Plaid Pantry, but healthier like New Seasons, but better prices and masterfully curated. It reminds me of the local corner stores growing up back east. Staff are friendly, food is consistently good, they have excellent indoor/outdoor seating options and they event have a loyalty program. We are so fortunate to have them in our neighborhood and we plan to support them. Highly recommend, do check them out!

So when I was back in Portland, I knew I had to come again. It does get pretty busy, but i only waited about 10-15 minutes. They have outdoor seating and a cute pickup window for to-go orders, but I definitely prefer sitting inside for the full experience. I ordered an iced matcha latte sweetened with honey, which was really good. For food, I got the avocado toast with two poached eggs and it was LOADED. The avocado comes in bigger chunks, the creamy spread was delicious, and the corn added the perfect little touch of sweetness. All the flavors worked so well together. I also got a side of hash, which was a pretty generous portion. It needed a little salt for me, but they have salt and pepper right on the table, so easy fix. Little tip: ASK FOR THEIR GREEN HOT SAUCE. OMG. So much flavor! It's not overly spicy, just the perfect kick, and it made everything even better. I actually asked if they sold bottles because I would've taken a few home with me, but sadly they don't. They also have a selection of baked goods that looked great, so that's on my list for next time. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. Years later and Proud Mary is still just as good as I remembered. Definitely one of my Portland favorites!

Overall impressions: meh, there's better choices for coffee than this. Cappuccino was okay, I didn't think much of it. Their Pourover menu is pretty long and quite pricey. I think they average about $10-15 per drink and the most expensive was $26 (!!!) Hubs ordered the Ruiru 11 & SL28 Ruarai AA -- definitely acidic from the grapefruit & blackcurrant, but I personally didn't think it was worth $9 or that it tasted good. And onto dining in...we were seated at the bar/counter: -Hubs ordered the Turkish Eggs after the seeing it ordered from the party next to us. This was decent, very dill-heavy and quite a generous portion and served with pita bread. -I ordered the Hamachi Crudo and cleaned my plate! Loved this dish, though it was also pricey. -Aussie-Style Iced Coffee (with ice cream), we ordered this to try since I had originally thought Proud Mary Cafe served Australian coffee, but this was all I found on the menu related to Australia...it was good because what can go wrong with some coffee and ice cream? Restrooms were clean. Service was fair. We found street parking nearby around back of the restaurant in the neighborhood.

How can you have one price on the menu but when it's in your cart it's twice as much? So that's the first issue. I was coming back from donating blood so was closer to this area and decided to come to this one. The site issues aren't store specific because it's part of why I hadn't used them before. I just wanted a couple things but because of that we couldn't just order and pick up. I was not feeling up to going inside which was a bigger problem so now I had to send my man in to do this. He placed the order and was able to use the gift cards so now I don't have to go there again. Two oatmeals and mozz bites, not a difficult order, but they gave him the wrong oatmeal. He was over it so he just left. He didn't want to keep me waiting while they made another oatmeal because it's not like we wanted a third even if it would be free. He actually likes the flavor of any of them so it wasn't like it was some terrible inexcusable thing. And he said the staff was really nice and totally happy to do it. Mozz bites were even smaller than expected so definitely not worth the price. Honestly this kind of feels like just an over sugared place to pretend to be healthy and if your tech can't ever work right I'm not interested.
