We have had the donuts here a couple of times. I love donuts and have had my share of bad ones. These donuts are excellent! I consider the glazed yeast donut the real test of a donut shop. The glazed yeast here are light and fluffy and perfectly glazed. The cake donuts are also very good. The outside is crisp and the inside is light and tender. The chocolate glaze is very good as well. One of our party tried the blueberry cake donut and proclaimed it to be the best donut they had ever tasted. Other reviewers commented on the kolacky. The kolacky at this donut shop are like the kolacky you would find in Texas. I was so surprised to see them that I asked the owner if they were from Texas and she said they were. Funny how different regions have different specialties. The kolacky here are not like the kolacky you would find at a polish bakery. Forget about all of that and go get some of these donuts! Gave it a shot. Donuts are smaller than average. The variety is average to below average, the taste/texture of donuts was the same. Staff was friendly and after purchasing a dozen donuts she gave me a small white bag out of a microwave and said it was a "kolacky" to try and tell her if it was good. Turns out it was some sort of dough with a small hot dog and some American cheese baked into it-we did not try eating it :/ Another odd thing was there were breakfast sandwiches with croissants, sausage, cheese etc ready made and sitting on trays in the case next to the donuts which did not appear to be temperature controlled either, that seemed very odd. read more

my husband and i love this little donut shop! the donuts are some of the best we've ever had. fresh, super soft, and moist. I would say almost more dough-y than cake-y, which is what i prefer. i like the chocolate glazed and old-fashioned. my husband loves the cinnamon twists and glazed. we have not yet tried the kolaches, but will soon! My wife and I were actually turning into McDonalds for breakfast when we noticed Fresh Donuts, which had a sign in the window that said "real eggs". We are new to the area and hadn't heard of this place before but thought we would give it a try. We each ordered a breakfast sandwich in croissants. The sandwiches were huge and definitely had been made with real fresh eggs. The sausage in mine was very good, had a nice small spice to it. My wife got bacon and the slices were large and cooked through crispy unlike McDonald's and DD. We also got a coffee and 4 donuts. The donuts were well made and delicious, the coffee was really good as well. The guy who took our order was very friendly also. We will certainly be back again. read more
