glazed & chocolate doughnuts
Ann S.

10/10 doughnuts. I thought it would taste like Kroger brand doughnuts but it actually had flavor in the bread. The picture might look like my doughnuts were hard or so but definitely wasn't. I wish they had more options to pick from. Ordered 3 pigs, 3 glazed & 3 chocolate; total came around 20$ & the options were limited.I will be coming back again.

We got donuts for our daughters first birthday donut wall. They were great, super fresh! Only bummer was they didn't have many sprinkle donuts, wish they had more for the occasion and our kiddos wanting a pre snack. But taste, quality and price were great! We will be back!

Yum!!! Fresh donuts is right!

It was a Sunday. We needed donuts. Looked up donuts in the area and saw this place had good reviews. It did not disappoint! This is what a donut store is all about. The name says it right, they were fresh alright. And delicious. Will definitely be coming here again. The staff were all friendly. The shop was clean and they had a great variety.

First time trying Fresh Donuts today. We went in around 11:00 am on a Tuesday, so I was expecting it to be slim pickings, but they still had a very good selection. The donuts are BIG and very good. The lady behind the counter was very sweet and friendly. As I mentioned, there were lots of different donuts to choose from, I actually got a gummi bear donut for my husband! We will definitely be return customers.

Best donuts hands down! Love this place and the donuts melt in your mouth. I thin they are better than tiny little donuts and 5 daughters.

Very good.. very fresh. It's best to call in advance for big orders. I always call a day early and they have them ready when I get there.

Bottom row: blueberry, chocolate, glazed vanilla cream, glazed doughnut. Apple fritters not pictured. Never knew this place existed till I read reviews on Yelp. People saying they came from all over to try the pastries. Had to join the crowd and try them myself. Some, I was eager to get, weren't available when I went. They said they didn't make as many, when schools were in session. I'll have it go back in the summer, when sales increase. Anyway, the ones I chose today were delicious. My favorite was the Maple Old-fashioned (yum yum!) Hope they have that every time I go because I will want it again and again.

And as popular as this spot is, they sell out well before 3:00 every single day! So on several occasions over the past five years, I've driven an hour down to Lewisburg at 1:00 or 2:00, only to find a closed store at the end of a fruitless trip. Finally, I made the pilgrimage to the Lewisburg Donut Shop on a weekday morning and found it open! Hallelujah! And indeed, the donuts did not disappoint. The apple fritter is among the best I've had, almost as good as Fox's in Green Hills. But that maple with a soft, yeasty, melt-in-your-mouth dough is astounding! I can understand the lofty ratings now!

My first donut shop visit here at Maury County. I can't believe I spent $34 bucks! That box of…read moredonuts I carried out was plenty heavy, wasn't sure if it was going to be sugar or oil heavy. Wow, extra extra sweet, really too sugary for me, the glazed donut was the first bite, was warm and sweet, too sweet, ate half because I knew by looking at the rest of the box was going to be a challenge, cut half of the chocolate bar with cream, no cake icing filling and same deal, at least I got a bit of a chocolate taste, advice, use cream filling for filled bars. Next was the apple fritter, cut it in half, seen apple bits but still biting into sugar, this didn't taste no where near an apple fritter, I didn't bother tasting anymore. I can say customer service was excellent, even the baker went out of his way to greet me. Sure hope I can find a donut shop that won't cost me an arm and leg, I've reviewed close to 60 donut shops my last 10 years, I won't forget Donut Palace.

I felt like my cheeks were actively getting filled with nail polish air. Not to mention 6 donuts were $30 and I ended up only eating the equivalent of one donut and threw the rest out. I tried to be optimistic and tried every donut I bought and they all had that very weird taste. do not go here and waste your money or risk getting sick. The actual building was not very clean or lively in my opinion either.

In this case the everyone were two of my grandchildren and did they ever go at it! One chose a powdered doughnut as their foundation and the other a glazed. They spent, it seems, like 5 minutes each choosing and directing the pile that was put on top. Both masterpieces in their own right. While they were chomping on these concoctions, my daughter and I were discussing how we would have attacked. First of all, we wouldn't have chosen a wimpy doughnut for the base. We would have gone all in with a Cinnamon roll. Those suckers are the size of plates! What a ground floor. Top it with apples, apple butter and caramel drizzle and you've got a caramel apple cinnamon work of art! Now we're talking. Try it for yourself. After all it's only like a billion calories. Quick Tip: The doughnuts are shaped as triangles. You can always tell yourself that you're teaching the kids trigonometry.

The shop is cutesy with pink walls and a little social media worthy photo op on one of the walls. Lines are hit or miss. I either walk by and nobody is there or it's a long line. I can't say service at this location has ever been noteworthy. It's more just moving people through the line. They offer mini and regular sized donuts. I love, love, love that they offer mini donuts. I've never been a big fan of their donuts, but the winter donuts may have changed my mind. My favorites have been Sugar Cookie and Gingerbread Latte. I enjoyed the buttery, flaky layers. I also grabbed an iced sugar cookie and that was delicious. For drinks they offer coffees and a case with sparkling waters, juice, and canned coffee.
